The Cherry Tree Café is the place to go… highly recommended. Niko is the best secret of a chef in Crown Point. The staff provides good friendly service. You must go.

Great service. Great food. We love coming here once a month. The servers know us and our son. Everyone is so friendly. Love the meat lovers skillet with gravy. And the eggs Benedict. One of my favorites in cp other than Fahrenheit 212 buffet. I’ve been to them all in Cp over the years this is my favorite. In my opinion way better then it’s predecessor at this location golden apple.

Terrific little breakfast place!
The menu could be pared down a bit, as its a bit overwhelming, however when you’re dealing with breakfast is easy enough.
Service: The staff here is super friendly and attentive to everything, and they’re also really good with kids. Made us feel very welcome and also didn’t hover over us the entire time.
Pricing: very reasonable, the average person can eat here for $ 8−10/ person and get a solid meal that won’t leave you hungry.
Food: terrific! Kids had waffles, I had steak and eggs, wife had some weird hippy nonsense pancakes. Everything cooked nicely and really good portions that don’t leave you wanting more.
Atmosphere: the place is a little worn and isn’t much to look at, but when you’re getting a decent round of steak and eggs does anyone really care if the décor in your booth is a few years outdated?
Will be back for sure, nice place to stop on a Saturday morning!

Went there based on the reviews. Maybe just hit on a bad day. The waitress was totally awesome but the food was average at best the steak skillet blah. Anyway the locals seemed to like it and in the end that is all that really matters

Not a planned visit but a worthwhile stop. I normally order a meat lovers skillet for breakfast. Wow! I was in disbelief when it came to my table. The taste, amount of food, texture, and it came with an order of pancakes all for an amazing price. This restaurant without a doubt has the best ever meat lovers skillet in Crown Point. I was so impressed that when I saw the cook on his coffee break, I shared my compliments with him. (I will return). Hands down way better than the predecessor Golden Apple.

My wife and I were looking for good breakfast. We found it! Very friendly, attentive staff. The food looked great and tasted even better, I had the corn beef hash with banana foster pancakes «lick the plate outstanding!» Eggs were cooked perfect, crispy hash browns. My wife had the western skillet. We ordered a quart of home made cream of chicken rice to take home for lunch and that was like grandmas. We loved the atmosphere, the staff and the food. Complements to the owner/​chef! Keep up the great work!

Have been going to Cherry Tree since they opened. Go often for breakfast, but have been there for lunch and dinner. Their staff is very friendly and I never have an empty coffee cup. Last week, my friend and I both had the Bananas Foster breakfast. She had it on French toast, I had it on a waffle. If you love bananas and caramel, make sure you try it! I did and I loved it. This week we both had their new cinnamon French toast combo: four slices of cinnamon French toast, two eggs, and two bacon or sausage links for $ 7.99. Almost think it was better than the Bananas Foster.

The family and I tried this place on a whim while driving by at lunch time. The décor inside is freshly done and the place is brightly lit and clean. The wait staff were extremely friendly and attentive. My wife and daughter each had waffles with fruit topping, which were excellent — the glazed strawberry topping used fresh strawberries. I had the pork tenderloin sandwich, which was quite good and came with plenty of toppings. Good service and good food, with reasonable prices.
