I’m sure my review will be put in the not recommended spot, but I recommend never going to the Radio Shack in Crystal Lake. We had a problem with a product that we had a warrenty on. We were ignored, than the young lady helped us. The manager of the store was there, but only to take care of his favorite customer. Meaning, the hell with us. When the young lady explained our problem to him, she stated that we only paid $ 20 for it. What does that have to do with the problem that it didn’t work?
She stated that she needed to call another store to see if they had the item but they weren’t open yet. She said she would call us and let us know if they did.
She NEVER CALLED!!! We called the store in Algonquin and they helped us. We went to them and had no problem being taken care of. They are a great store and I recommend everyone to go to Algonquin! They always greet us when we walk and help us the best they can!

Wow, absolutely the worst customer service. Do not go there if you are under 30 years old and expect to get waited on! My daughters (22 and 19) couldn’t get service, weren’t even acknowledged so had to go to counter to ask for help, had to ask for the phones we ordered, Jim and? (other woman cashier) were horrified that they came in ½ hour before closing, were told couldn’t get phones because I wasn’t there, were snotty about our ordering phones and said we could come back next day b/​w 9 and 3. Since we all have JOBS, that isn’t possible, so they wanted to just buy the phones and would have them activated later. NOPE! they refused. IF they had been polite and explained how long it would take (apparently, according to woman it takes HOURS to activate a phone?) and apologized about not being able to sell to them, it would have been cool. So, instead, irritated, my daughters left. Fortunately, their friend waited outside and saw the rude hand gestures they made behind my daughters backs! WTH? Jameson was a fantastic salesperson, unfortunately he wasn’t there and his coworkers attitudes cost them the sale. Oh Well who cares, customers are a dime a dozen!

Located in one of Crystal Lake’s shopping areas. The staff was polite and had good knowledge on what I needed. Their prices are slightly higher than other stores in the area however the staff seems more knowledgeable than just basic information on products. The parking can get tricky especially on a sat afternoon because there are many other stores located here.
