I have been ordering from them since 1994 it is one of my favorite locations for Chinese food I’ll be very honest there are certain times when things are a little greasy hair than others and we have eaten the buffet before but just make sure you go and look at it first someone else had also mentioned that there were times when there wasn’t any food there and I run into the same thing we’re there maybe have to crab rangoons 1 chicken only because of the rush is gone but I will say for carry out food they have the best shrimp fried rice sweet and sour chicken crab rangoon egg drop soup and Singapore noodles.

We ordered from the online ordering app last night. The food is always fresh and hot. The hubby always orders the sweet and sour chicken and it comes with an huge quart of sauce. I had the shrimp ding which is normally spicy but was tame this time. It had tons of huge shrimp and veggies. You get a free item of choice or a price discount. We got the barbecue pork fried rice. They deliver to Bay View which is a plus. The only downfall is it takes a hour. The delivery man is always very friendly. The large portions make it easy to feed a family cheaper than going out for dinner.

This place rocks! Buffet is great, service is great, and you can’t beat the price.

I have now learned to ALWAYS look at the buffet BEFORE you say that you will order it. We stopped in today around 12:30pm because I really wanted some Chinese food. I thought we would get the buffet because of the variety, etc. well we should have ordered off the menu. What little the buffet did still have available was overcooked and not that flavorful. I understand that it is a Monday after the lunch rush but this was ridiculous. The only thing that was brought out fresh were pork egg rolls which were not that great. Over half the buffet trays were almost empty. We ordered out from them two years ago and it wasn’t that bad but this experience was just horrible. I don’t have high expectations from a Chinese buffet but this was really NOT good. Later this week I will have to go to Jing’s or somewhere else to erase the bad Chinese food from my memory.

Not sure if it was because I was über hungry just having completed Ragnar Chicago but when my friend and I were looking for someplace quick to grab take out and then go back to her place and crash — the Unilocal gods led us here. You might be thinking«Anne C. this is a standard Chinese food restaurant. There is nothing fancy about Tsing Tao and the food is what you can get at 1000s of other take out restaurants across the US.» Yes– that might be true and yes — there is nothing adventurous about their menu but we were in and out of there in 15 minutes, our orders were correct, and the food was hot, well seasoned and just plain good. We were given ample portions of food and although they do not have a brown rice option — I survived. In reality I normally would have given Tsing Tao 3 stars(because the menu was pretty standard) but after consuming my standard chinese take out option — Won Ton Soup — a 4th star had to be added. All in all a great meal and really isn’t that what it is all about!

I ordered yesterday the chef’s special, chicken fried rice, x4 egg rolls and hot and sour soup. As of today, my girlfriend and i are feeling sick. We went through what we ate all day and symptoms started about an hour after consuming the takeout. Very nice staff but we will not be returning.

My experience here was downright sickening. I ordered the crab Rangoon for an appetizer. They were fried solid and the stuffing was congealed and dropped out freely once I had broken the fry hardened shell. This rubbery formation that reminded me of cream cheese that has sat out on the counter for a few days was edible, but tasteless. I spooned some of the«sweet and sour» sauce provided in a slightly opaque covered jar that had been sitting at my table when I arrived on the next Rangoon I attempted to eat. I want to note now that there was something, off, even dodgy about that sauce. The table provided sauce was a translucent like runny strawberry jam, complete with some sort of granules giving it texture. It tasted less like strawberry jam, and more like synthetic berry flavoring and sand. I resisted my urge to sweep this affront to my palette from the table. Based on the reviews I had read about this place, on Unilocal no less, I was surprised I was eating something that tasted like it had come from a Cudahy gutter. I ordered the Governor’s chicken. The menu boasted white meat crisped and tossed in a house sweet and sour sauce, of which I could choose the level of heat to my personal preference. What I got was either over fried chicken destroyed purposefully in some strange revenge plot for my having enjoyed the movie«the Last Samurai» several years prior(Which I have already apologized for, I was dating an Asian girl at the time and doing some heavy drinking, needless to say it was a dark time in my life) or poultry flavored wood crisped to the point of splintering easily, tossed in non-descript seasoned syrup. I don’t know which scenario is worse to consider, but the food was atrocious. A previous review called this the best Chinese around, and then had a winky face emoticon appending the statement. I want to assume this was a joke carried out by a troll(not just a woman with the face of a ghastly fairytale troll), if it wasn’t some elaborate joke, and this really is the best Chinese around, I’m moving far, far away from this place, and will need therapy. Don’t eat here.

I’ve been here a bunch and I have never been disappointed. I work in the area and a group of us will often order lunch and have it delivered. It always arrives quickly and piping hot. There is never a sad face at our table. The amount you get is huge and the food is better than most. I have also had the dine-in lunch buffet here many times. Although the buffet offerings are always the same and quite limited, what they do put out is very satisfying. I would recommend ordering off the menu if you are in a huge hurry. Our waitress at lunch is always very friendly and happy to tells us about her most recent trip home to China, very interesting. Head down Packard Ave and look for the IHOP A-frame building with the Chinese dragon out front. You can’t miss it!

We have tried several Chinese take-out places in the area and this is by far the best. Food was very fresh and flavorful. Price very reasonable and fast delivery!

Not terrible, but not great, either. Just, meh. When I lived in the area, there was a shortage of Chinese places to go, so we came here often, after having a bad experience across the street at IQ Buffet. The buffet is small, but tolerable, and the inside is kinda cool, even though it’s decorated super cheesy. If I were at home and craving Chinese, I’d probably come back and get some greasy goodness :).

Went while back in town visiting the rents. They always order take out/delivery from there, so I’m sure I’ve had it countless times before. They were able to get a table for ten of us which was nice. Unfortunately, our orders got a bit messed up and the overall ambience looks like an old Chinese restaurant. They have a buffet for both lunch and dinner. Everyone loved the food. The potstickers were decent, but the Singapore Noodles were fantastic. My brother-in-law was very excited to go here as he’s spent months in China and lives in Chicago and claims their Singapore Noodles the best he’s encountered. Were it not for the service mishaps, I probably would have given a 4.
