I had the regular breakfast(scrambled eggs w/bacon and toast). Thought everything was just OK. Not the best brunch I’ve ever had but still enjoyable.

Great place to enjoy having a conversation over cocktails. Customer service is great and the fire pit is a bonus

Good location for breakfast and or lunch. I’ve stayed at the hotel several times and have always enjoyed their food.

Breakfast here during our stay for 4 days. It did not get bored, except for the waiting staff. The«California rustic» cooking is pretty good. The portions are on the large side, so they are closer to brunch. The Benedict are clearly a focus and they are well made. The coffee was not consistent. I think they change the coffee mid-way during the service and the new one is very different. Wish they will simply stay with something tried and true like Peet’s. I tried their bar before. It was well stocked and the bar tender quite knowledgeable.

Very slow and unprofessional service for breakfast. Good luck if you have our server Madison. She was the worse server I have seen this year. –Took a long time for her to take our order, The«I’ll be right with you» took 10 minutes although there were only a few tables she was serving –I asked for water for our table and got one glass to share for 2 people –My dad asked for butter and cream cheese with his bagel and only got cream cheese. –We waited over 35 minutes for a simple French Toast and continental breakfast when the restaurant is not busy. I suspect Madison intentionally delayed our order that day because 1) the table next to us placed the order after us got their breakfast at least 10 minutes before we did and the gentleman also ordered French Toast. Unless it takes 35 minutes to toast a bagel for the continental breakfast, the server probably did something to delay our order 2) I ordered the same breakfast items in the past week and the kitchen never took that long to fulfill the order. –The server went MIA after we got our food, so it was a long wait to get our check and then another long wait for her to pick up my credit card. –I was again incorrectly billed when I got the check despite talking to Madison about the exact same error the day prior. And then had to talk to the restaurant manager who was equally confused about the breakfast benefit for Hilton Gold. It’s been months since Cypress became Hilton Juniper, why are the servers and the manager still confused? There goes our morning, not a pleasant way to start the day. You want to know how terrible the breakfast service was? After enduring Madison for 2 consecutive days, my family and I cancelled the remaining 2 weeks of our stay at the Juniper Hotel and booked the Aloft Cupertino down the road just to avoid this restaurant for breakfast.

Good food for a high price. Glints of greatness shadowed by some obvious flaws. Park Place is a restaurant built into a hotel. This means the décor is lovely, the parking is spacious(built into the side of the hotel), and the food is high class and high priced. My friend and I ordered the Dungeoness Crab Benedict and Salmon Benedict. The dungeoness crab tasted fresh but came out a bit cold, as if it was waiting for a while on the plate before the server was able to get the dish to our table. The salmon was standard lox commonly found on bagels, but the combination of salmon and egg with hollandaise sauce was very tasty. We also ordered a plate of truffle fries. The flavor of truffles is VERY mild, as the fries were simply coated in a light layer of truffle oil before being fried. The fries weren’t bad, but for $ 8, I was expecting a bigger punch. It also pains me to say this, but the biggest fault of Park Place is their lack of staff. It felt like there were only two or three servers taking care of the entire establishment, including cleaning plates to handling the bar. Our table spread didn’t include knives, and we had to wait until a third into our meal to get a waiter’s attention to get them. The staff at hand were very professional, but there were not enough to go around. Overall, a place to get a good meal, but I’d only recommend it to those already living nearby or staying at the hotel.

First off, the service was great. Above and beyond. But the food was so, so meh. Little to no taste, and I had a wide variety for dinner. Very underwhelming indeed. Could do so much better! The atmosphere was great, but the food needs flavor.

OHMAN! What a HUGE dining disappointment! We love coming here for the NY steak special but when I looked online prior to coming for dinner, I was delighted to find out they now offered it in the menu. Yippee, right? Well I haven’t been here since it become Juniper or a Hilton Curio hotel but the restaurant was still Park Place so we dined here Friday night. We both ordered the NY steak, medium. After receiving the bread basket to start off, right away I noticed the herb butter was not at room temperature, it was cold. The focaccia was ok, but the other bread was hard. Usually in all the times we’ve eaten here, it was served warm and fresh. When our entrees came out, it was the wrong order. They were skirt steaks. So maybe a miscommunication between the order, waitress, or kitchen staff, who knows? It didn’t bother us much as we waited for our food. Another waitress came by to apologize and from then on, she served us. I remembered her from last time and she was great, as usual. Finally our steaks arrived. Aesthetically, it was not well presented. No criss cross grill marks. But I brushed that aside and took the first bite. Uhh oh… something was very wrong! This was nothing like the steaks we’ve had at least 5 times prior to today. In fact, I always call on the weekends and specifically ask what the special is, and if it’s the NY, we dine here. My husband noticed immediately as well. Both of our steaks were undercooked, lukewarm, bland and vegetables/potatoes were cold. We sent both back to be re-cooked, and while we waited a second time we talked about how different the food was, and how disappointed everything was. The waiting and misorder, we didn’t mind. But the poor food execution and taste was a real bummer for us. Steaks came back hot, but who’s idea was it to put pickled mushrooms with it is beyond me! The overwhelming taste of vinegar ruined the beef flavor and potatoes. It comes with roasted potatoes, but I decided to swap that out for the special cheese mashed they had for the pork chop special. But it was waaaay to cheesy because they used a ton of curds instead of a little shredded cheese. It was more curds than potatoes. I felt like I was eating melted plastic and my fork was just twirling the potato like spaghetti pasta. I ended up not eating the mushrooms or potato, just the steak but by then I didn’t have much appetite anyways. We planned on ordering the famous bread pudding but now that we know there’s been a change in hotel and obviously food, we opted out. Our waitress gave us excellent service and maybe the manager? came by to ask how everything was, and we asked if the chef or kitchen staff were different and she said there’s been some changes in the last few months. Yes, I know the review is long but I’m just so bummed about it. I doubt we’ll be back now. They even changed the fries! I saw they are now larger and thicker cut than the skinny. Change is NOT a good thing, food wise.

I’ve been to Park Place for Happy Hour and lunch. It surprisingly small but the service was really good. The food is quality and the Happy Hour prices are great. They’ve changed their menu since I was there last but the seared ahi that I did have was amazing.

Not impressed at all. Lackluster service and the food was sub par… for what you pay it’s definitely not worth it. I’ve had better at chains unfortunately…

Went here for dinner with husband and another married couple. We chose Park Place because their outdoor patio is dog friendly. It had been an especially hot day in Cupertino and we didn’t want to leave our dog in the car. We shared their humus plate and short rib fries appetizers. The humus was deliciously fresh, and the short rib fries were very tasty. The shredded short ribs were tastefully seasoned, not overpowering nor bland, and I especially enjoyed the subtle crispness of the potato wedges. It was a pleasant surprise to experience a little bit of crunch. I, and one of our friends, ordered the special that night, red snapper with baby bok choi and rice prepared Asian style for $ 26. It was very flavorful and the generous portion was prepared with skill. The sauce was something like a sweet and sour but with chili pepper flavoring. I wanted to eat more of it, it was so good, but the pepper sauce made it too hot for me. I would have asked for less heat — that it be prepared more mildly, but the chili peppers were not mentioned in the description given by the wait staff. My friend also found it pretty hot, but she was able to finish most of her meal. She and her husband both thought it was very good. We finished with cheese cake. It was fine; nothing special. Overall, we would visit again. The food is quality. The service was adequate, though a bit slow given the amount of guests present in the restaurant.

The restaurant has unfortunately taken a turn for the worse. Upon arriving, I had to hunt down someone to seat us despite standing for 15 minutes at the host stand in plain view of staff chatting on the floor. Had to send back the ahi tuna appetizer(and I never send things back) because it smelled ‘off’ and the texture was tough. I was told it was due to the way they cut it. The calamari was so-so. The mushroom flatbread was decent, but would have been better suited for the bar menu, not the main dining menu. On the plus side– they make a terrific gimlet and Kelsey(our server) was fantastic-attentive and friendly. If you go, go for the drinks and eat elsewhere.

My buddy and I were looking for a good breakfast place in the area, nothing fancy but not the typical IHOP down the road. So we stumbled upon this place, not realizing we’d eaten here before for dinner. It’s actually a hotel restaurant. The dinner we’d had here was pretty good, not what you’d expect from a typical hotel restaurant. But what this review is about, is their breakfast. Wow. We both ordered their Dungeness Crab Benedict and were blown away. Now granted, we weren’t expecting anything out of this world. We expected similar quality to what you’d get at an IHOP. But the flavor was outstanding. I would absolutely recommend this place for this alone. That being said, the staff was a little flaky so don’t expect too much there, but the food is at least pretty good.

— — — — – Updated Review 6÷4÷15 — — — — — — – We received the slowest service ever last Wednesday. The waitress took 10 minutes(literally) to tell us one of our beers ran out. Then the fries came out(+5 mins later). Then she comes back with our replacement beer(+5 mins later) and forgets our other one. She says she’ll get napkins and the other beer. Comes back with the beer but no napkins. Goes in again and finally gets us everything we need(total +25 minutes for one sweet potato fries and two beers). I expected much better from a bar I used to call one of my favorite. Happy hour now ends at 5:30pm too. There was no warning of this nor leeway for an unwarned customer. Unless some changes are made, we won’t be returning. — — — — Original Review 4÷21÷15(4 stars) — — — — – The happy hour here ends at 6pm. Before it strikes 6pm, it’s hell of a happy place. Multiple beer selection at $ 3 Small food plates at $ 4 and $ 5 Yeeeee Cocktails at $ 6 Highly recommended: Farmer’s cheese. This comes with super thin matzoh and goes so well with wine or even their very refreshing moscow mule. Overall, the service is attentive and very friendly. Atmosphere is relaxed, classy but casual. Tip — be careful if you’re drinking past 6pm, each person will easily spend $ 30+ lol. Tip 2 — if you stay here, they have excellent wine reception in the lobby.

I came here for my birthday party, and I had a blast! If you plan to have a group gathering here, it’s the perfect place; non hassle and good price. The food was amazing! The portion sizes aren’t too big but they’re not too small either. I don’t recommend sharing family style because there probably won’t be enough for everyone. The service was really great. The waiter was really nice to us(even though we were a bit noisey) and was very willing to let me know the specials, recommendations, figure out the pricing, etc. Once we were satisfied with the meal, the waitor explained all the prices to me. The ambiance is extremely comfortable. Not too loud, but not awkwardly silent either. The quiet and low buzz of people around us made the party a more comfortable and less awkward gathering. Definitely recommend this place for a date or any sort of party less than 10.

Food was good but service was poor. Aoli sauce was delicious. At the time I went, there was no «hostess». Waiters/servers were acting as hostess which took a long time. There were a lot of people waiting to be seated.

This review is exclusively for the bread pudding. Andy(my friend) told me this place had the most amazing bread pudding as he has taken a number of ladies here. I think I was lady #50. just kidding. Anyways, it was truly very good. Served a la mode and with a side of caramel sauce. Delicious. They have a recipe posted online supposedly. but I doubt you can recreate it since they used croissants sold at Park Place… so you should just shell out the amount of money and head here. Yum!

Park Place is co-located with the Cypress Hotel(Kimpton Hotel) in Cupertino, CA. It’s a bit on the pricy side food-wise. I’ve eaten here periodically over the years — usually breakfasts and appetizers around dinner time. I do enjoy the bar area. I’ve visited a few times and enjoyed an Ale or two. The bartenders are always personable and skilled at their job. They also make a good vodka martini! Beware that they shut down the kitchen far to early. I came in one evening and wanted something to eat — it was around 10:00 pm as I recall. At that point I could only have a beer. So I left and went down the street to BJ’s so I could eat and drink.

I have had Easter brunch here and the selection of food is fabulous here for Easter brunch. Smoked Salmon, fruit, pastries, Prime Rib, Crab, Shrimp, eggs benedict, omelettes made to order, everything you can imagine for breakfast and brunch is here. The bar area is wonderful and I remember thinking to myself this reminds me of places which I have closed some biz deals but I would never think to come to the Bar of Park Place. Now I know. The parking is spacious and ambiance is enjoyable. The service was good and enjoyable.
