I like the baked pork chop over rice with tomato sauce. It is very consistent, the reason I gave it a 4-star because the service can be slow.

Before you leave, make sure to check your bill and see if they charged the correct amount for your order. I ordered a beef chow fun to-go and apparently it costs $ 9.75 total(w/tax), although the menu states $ 8.50(w/o tax), which should come out to $ 9.24(w/ tax). I understand $.51 isn’t much but overpaying for mediocre food is not my forte. This is an update from last night. When I went to pick up my order, I saw the cashier cough on his hands before placing my order into a to-go bag, without washing his hands. I was thinking of the possibilities of me getting sick this way, but it is very unlikely. This morning I woke up with a sore throat although I was not in contact with anyone who was sick the day before. How unfortunate.

Their pancakes taste yuck. Like they serve you the cheap and ready made kind. Same for dumplings. I think they bought the cheap ready made kind. Very low quality!

Definitely value for money kind of restaurant! I ordered the wonton soup and was very full when I left the restaurant. My friends ordered the spicy salty pork chop with rice and the fish slice noodle soup. The food came really fast, under 10 minutes. And the portion is HUGE. I would say it is more like 1.5x normal portion. Anyway, I gave it a 4 stars because the food is good enough to eat for late night supper. The restaurant opens until late night, and it is really great to have a place that serves a lot of food under 5 minutes of waiting time, especially at night. –1 star because somehow the 3 of us got different menus. I don’t know how it is, but the menus are all different. One looks older and no picture, another one is with picture. And some items in one menu is not in the other. It is pretty hard to compare food items with your friend. But overall, i’m happy enough this place exists! Would definitely come back again for late night supper, though would not be my first choice if it is in the afternoon, where a lot of other options are available

I came here for late night meal and ordered a wonton noodle with beef stew expecting a lot of flavor but when the noodles came the only thing that has flavor was the beef stew and wonton the soup had little to no flavor at all!

Not the best place for Hong Kong food, but since it was nearby, I just went. Server was nice even when I spoke to her in abc cantonese. Ordered from the grill section since it came with soup of the day and a drink for $ 10.50. This wasn’t a bad deal considering the portions are big. Hong Kong style cuisine isn’t healthy, but heavy and many of the baked items have gravy. It’s more of a British influence with Chinese taste. Idk try out if you want and you can decide for yourself. They typically open really late… say 2 or 3am for all you party animals out there. White fish fillet in cream sauce: this one is baked in an oval claypot. You have white rice, cream sauce mixed with button mushrooms, and pieces of scrambled egg. Not sure what kind of white fish used, but it was ok. Milktea: Hm typical Hong Kong taste and not too sweet or milky. Not bad. Soup was nothing special. $ 11.45 total with tax. If you use card, there’s a 20 cent fee or $ 20 min… can’t remember. Restroom back right. If you want to try better hk food, I suggest venus café on hostetter or wokstar on Landess(both i think accepts card). Just remember around here there’s not very many Hong Kong type of cafes.

Such a disappointment! Daughter picked up some take out and when she brought it home realized they gave us two fried rices. Called to let them know and they said to bring it back. What? I got on the phone with the young lady and explained that we weren’t about to not eat our lunch to bring back their wrong item. I asked if what she would do with the wrong item and she said throw it away. So you want me to drive down to the restaurant to give you an item we didn’t order so you can throw it away!!! What!!! Just very disappointing. You can take the $ 10 for the chow mein we ordered and didn’t receive, for the extra fried rice. We will never eat at this establishment again for bad business practices and the food was subpar. The Won Ton soup was okay, not very flavorful at all. The Kung pao had some flavor, but they didn’t give us that much. Daughter didn’t like the Kung pao at all. Beef and Broccoli was good, but not great. The fried rice was bland, lucky us we got two of those. Such a bummer! Really wanted to like this place, but we will continue our search for good Chinese food in Cupertino.

Late night food places are hard to find in South Bay! Ordered beef chow fun w onion and green pepper in black bean sauce and pickup was ready in 10 minutes, fast! 9.25 $ for one dish and portion good was one person, so not super cheap(I’m used to SoCal food/portions…). Would come again for fast decent food!

I’m all for fancy dinners, wine pairings, and pretentious portions every now and then. But I also appreciate those hole in the walls that give you QUANTITY for your hard earned dollars, and Top Café is one of those places! No frills Chinese diner that’s open late and has a slew of items for around $ 8 – 10 each. It’s hard to find affordable food that’s a bang for your buck in this area. Great place to grab some late night eats, or bring the family to share a handful of plates. I like their noodle dishes like the beef and veggie chow fun in black bean sauce. I also thought their salted fish and chicken fried rice was decent. The BF loves getting the pork chop in onion sauce over rice(although I think it tastes a lot like a Salisbury steak flavor) and the salt and pepper spare ribs. Signs says cash only but they also accept card.

Stopped by: 11÷4÷2015, 13:02 Environment: Hongkongese style setting, clean and enough space. Food: We had fillet with black pepper sauce rice, ground beef with tomatoes sauce rice, custom soup & cold milk tea. Ok, here we go, the fish fillet is over cooked, and not fresh made, steak so so. Soup ok, not outstanding. Milk tea is just fairly ok, real Hong Kong style is much better. Service: Smile enough, polite, will give 4 star.

3.5stars I thought they changed hands because they no longer offer Hainan Chicken which used to be my go-to here. Moreover, the Bake Pork Chop Rice taste terrible. However, I discover that their Cantonese food taste above average even though they sometimes include parts of food that I would discard.(For example, thicker stalks or buggy leafs in veggies). I have had their A-Choy and Gold and Silver Egg Spinach. I like their flavor, but would not order them again. My favorite by far is their Fish Fillet in Black Bean Sauce rice dish. The Fish Fillet with Tofu is not nearly as good. Fried Chicken Wings with Lemongrass is okay. I like how it is juicy. It is freshly fried. I don’t taste much flavor other than saltiness. Fried Tofu is alright. I like the batter and the texture of the tofu, but it has less flavor than most salt and pepper dishes I’m used to. Steamed Chicken with Vegetables. I like that they use a flavorful chicken. However, the chicken was over salted and over-cooked. I prefer the texture to be less tough. Preparation is below par.

One of the only places besides Happy Donuts and Donut Wheel that is actually open late in Cupertino! In the past, I had typically gone here with friends around midnight or so to grab a bite after going out for the night, but more recently, I have gone here with my dad when he wants to grab a quick Asian bite. Typically, when I go with my dad he likes to order off the menu where they offer 3 dishes for something around 21 $. We usually grab a plate of greens, the spicy salty pork chop, and one of the hotpots(I think we get the tofu combination hotpot). Like some other reviews have mentioned, it isn’t exactly the nicest or cleanest place, but in my many years of going there, I have never received food poisoning. The main good thing about Top Café is quick and affordable Cantonese style Chinese food. It’s not amazing, but it’s yummy, and it always hits the spot.

Really not that bad. More like 3.5 stars. I usually come at nighttime around 2 am and the waiter is super nice and attentive. Food is really not that bad drunk/high food… Does the job!

I’ve gone here before with friends, and it’s good, typical Asian fare. This time, I ordered through DoorDash, if that makes any difference. I got the baked seafood rice and the spareribs and vegetable(bok choy) chow fun. The spareribs were good, but too many noodles, not enough spareribs. The baked seafood rice was perfect, though! Just the right amount of cream to soak into the rice, and a generous amount of squid shrimp, and mussels(yum!). No fish, though, even though I found a couple of fish bones at the end of the sauce — must have been from the sauce or seafood mix.

We came here a couple days ago. I went to this location with my bf & baby girl for our first time. Baby girl and i shared a wet style beef chow fun & it was delish(i didn’t care for the beef texture or quality tho). Next time I’m going to see if i can just order it with bok choy only with the chow fun. My bf ordered chicken steak with black pepper sauce on the side, the sauce tasted a little too salty. Overall, we enjoyed our food. Compared to the other top cafes’ i have been to this one is more spacious, brighter and more clean. We will definitely come back here. We came by yesterday 07/10/2015 for a late lunch with our baby girl. My baby girl & i shared an order as usual. And it was delish as usual. But my only complaint is how unprofessional the guy waiters are… they are speaking out loud throwing F bombs in cantonese, which isn’t cool esp when i have my 3 ½ yr old with us i don’t need her hearing or learning inappropriate language in english or cantonese or in general. And the guy waiter goes out to smoke right in front of the restaurant too. At least smoke in the back of the restaurant. Definitely will eat here again, but will ask the dudes to not cuss please.

I came here out of the blue not reading any reviews just because I was hungry. I left this place full of disappointment. I ordered beef with black bean sauce chow fun and I ordered a coke with that. As I was finishing up eating I noticed what I thought was black bean sauce but it had a wing on it. As I looked closer it was a fly on my plate that it was disguised as a black bean. I told the lady and she took it off my bill, I wished she comped my coke as well because I will never come back here ever again. Also on Unilocal it states you are able to use your credit card but inside says Cash only! I don’t recommend this place at all, prices online and in the restaurant is totally different.

4WORDS: I GOTFOODPOISONING The place is disgustingly dirty, take a peek at the kitchen next time you come here and decide if you want to eat here. don’t know how the health dept hasn’t shut them down already. Bathroom was also disgusting, I can see old vomit residue around the toilets and it smells like @$$ in there. Don’t let my review deter you from coming here, find out yourself

This is a great place to eat with a budget, the Hong Kong style beef chow fun, Singapore noodle and more is almost like when you get them in Hong Kong. The red bean ice cream smoothy is the one you must try too. For people who like light taste dishes, they have it here too and done it in a Good way that not so tasteless after all. I will always drop by the place when I am on the neighborhood as I now have moved away from this area. I miss it!

So, it’s kind of a greasy spoon Chinese restaurant. After a long day of work, I was really craving some comfort food. For me, that’s a bowl of piping hot spicy noodle soup. Tops has a spicy beef noodle soup with big flat noodles. It totally hit the spot. I also tried the dining companion’s lamb skewers and pan fried dumplings. All were delicious. I needed a little bit of home, so I appreciated the Chinese TVB blaring. The familiar language spoken and the spicy noodle soup to warm my tummy. Cash only.
