Came here with my gf and daughter ordered a boba waited 15min inside to find out they hadn’t even started making the drink. Ask the cashier and she says well start right now… Wow usually this place is good. Hope they fix this

I’ve been to other Cha2Os before and usually their almond milk tea are better than what I’ve had. I’ve ordered it three times during my last few visits, thinking that maybe its just a bad batch, but it hasn’t improved since. The food is different and there is a lot more to the menu then just snacks, but for the price it isn’t really worth it. Aside from the aforementioned, the fruit drinks are pretty good. The store is a lot cleaner and much more spacious than the prior Phat Straw. Service can be a hit or miss, but there’s very minimal interactions involved.

I tried it yesterday and although I got the basic it was so good! They let me sample the Thai tea and the milk tea, they were both amazing so she suggested the«tiger tea» a combination of the 2! SOGOOD! Customer service was on point too, I will be back!

I’m happy that a Cha2O has opened close to me and also right across the street from Cypress College. Its in the same plaza as Sandwich House. A lot of these people are pretty harsh on the reviews! For a boba shop in Cypress, this place is not bad. I would say its closer to 3.5 stars but I rounded up. The inside is super clean, and looks new /modern. All the menu items are on the TV’s. Its a little cramped and you have to step back all the way to the window to read all the menu’s. I got popcorn chicken and milk tea. The chicken was a little hard but the outside was nice and crunchy. They add a little sweet and sour sauce to dip your chicken in. I wish they included basil leaves but they didn’t. The milk tea was surprisingly good. It comes in a little bottle that you can cap later. Can’t comment about the other drinks they have here but they all looked pretty good. A little hard to hear the person calling your name if you go sit down since the place is shaped like a backwards L. Parking was ample but once school is in session it may be hard to park during peak hours. They take cards and no minimum purchase.

Drinks and popcorn chicken are amazing! Just the right seasoning. The drinks can be adjusted to the right sweetness so that’s great. The one downside would be the wait. It’s pretty bad. We didn’t get service when we entered because the staff were busy preparing orders. Then after waiting 10 minutes to order, we had another 15 minute wait for the food and drinks. Overall, the place is pretty good, if you don’t mind the wait times.

Place is cute and cozy. The OMG drink was delicious. For people who know what halo halo dessert is it reminds me of a drinkable version of that. I will definitely be coming back.

This place is just okay. The drinks are okay, the service is okay, the wait time takes forever even if it’s not crowded. This place is just okay.

The boba was super disappointing. The boba was really really hard! In both the drinks I got. I wouldn’t come here again! The customer service was great though! The drinks were just bad.

This place makes me want to scream. They took a place I actually like(Phat Straw) and took everything about it that made it good away. Which is quite odd because I actually like Cha2O out in cerritos, sadly this place does not do it for me. I will agree the design overhaul is pretty decent to a point. They manage to take away about 40% of the space that was there, so now its a little ordering area, and a VERY thin hall like area. I dont imagine actually eating there, I’d feel very claustrophobic. They took everything that I actually like off the menu, and replaced it with my least favorites from Cha2O. One of the most annoying things about this place is the menu being so high up, it actually hurts my neck staring at it for like 40 seconds. I dunno, I was a fan of phatstraw. Not a fan of this place.

this place used to be phat straw & even then, it wasn’t good. they have incredibly long wait times & most of the time, their boba isn’t ready. I went here while it was still phat straw — one time there was no boba. I thought once they changed it to cha2o, it’ll be a little bit better. Nah, still sucks. Since cha2o has been open, I have encountered their boba not being ready TWICE. mind you, I come in right when they open or several minutes after. This place is advertising themselves as a boba spot. Uh, here’s a good marketing advice: DON’T OPENYOURBUSINESSIFTHEREISNOBOBAAVAILABLE. We always waste our time driving to the shop just to be disappointed. I was once a loyal customer but will no longer be returning. LETSGETITTOGETHER!!!

Came here after class to try out the place and buy some cajun fries! They didn’t take cards so I almost couldn’t buy it until I found few old dollars in my bag. The wait for one cajun fries were pretty long. They’re $ 3.99 and I remember buying it from the cerritos place so I was expecting a pretty decent size. Turns out they were way smaller then I thought. A lot of my fries were shriveled up and nasty looking. There were a lot of clumps and weren’t separated enough. I think they used bad oil or something… It was very oily and nasty. I really didn’t like it. It didn’t feel fresh at all. Not coming here again.

I went here today for the first time since they remodeled the boba spot. I miss Phat Straw. I ordered the Rice Plate and a milk tea boba for my lunch on the way to work. The food was pretty good but my drink was terrible. I only had 2 sips and basically threw it out. Cha2O Mini replaced my favorite boba place next to my house but now I don’t think I will come back. The price of drinks are now increased with the brand change and my drink was terrible. This was actually my second time here but the first time the cashier was not allowed to run credit cards so I left. My drink was terrible because I found weird white flakes floating around my drink. They were chalky and bad tasting. I wish I had bought a drink at 7Leaves while I was working on my computer over there. It was too late for me to bring it back since I didn’t drink it until I arrived at work.

I’m glad Cha2O opened. It looks so much better. The layout reminds me of Volcano Tea. It is a little cramped. There is more seating than there was at Phat Straw. I was disappointed to see that the menu was much smaller than the other locations, but it’s still an upgrade from Phat Straw. I was looking forward to being able to get a ponado in Cypress, but I won’t be picky! I’m glad a decent boba shop opened in Cypress. 7 Leaves is great, but their selection is so limited. The quality of the drinks here have improved compared to Phat Straw. I’ve only tried the milky desserts drinks here so far, but I will be back to see how their milk teas and slushies are. The milky desserts are so large! You can definitely share this. Awesome Threesome: This is just like che ba mau or three color dessert. It comes with pom pearls, pandan jelly, and grass jelly. Definitely hits the spot. Summer Breeze: This is so refreshing! I’m glad that it doesn’t come with milk because it isn’t heavy. The first one I got was SUPER sweet, I would recommend getting half sweet or less sweet. I had my drink remade and it was great! The girl who helped me was very kind about it as well. Service here is pretty good, but it can take a short while to get your drinks. I think there are only two people working there at a time. One at the register and one making drinks.

Running on 4 hrs of sleep, I was in need of some coffee. I didn’t want the conventional main stuff so I had the opportunity to give this place a try. Ambiance Parking: On a 3pm weekday, I didn’t have any trouble with parking. Yeah lots were occupied but even if it wasn’t this plaza, there are other places to park. Seating: * Inside or outside. The tables are not exactly setup for groups but you can accommodate groups. Feels: * The music was quite loud with top 40 and the decorations make the place quite vibrant. It is across from a community college so you’ll probably run into a lot of youngsters. Whether you’re on a quick lunch break, catching up with a friend, or need a grab and go, this is a pretty good place. Wi-Fi is free but the music is too loud for me in my opinion. Food: Cajun Fries(Recommend) * I’m a sucker for fries that’s why I bought it. It was quite plentiful for the price. My only issue is that the cajun seasoning wasn’t spreaded out that well. Vietnamese Coffee(A-OK) * It’s nice that it’s sweet but too sweet. I had a good quarter and decided to let the ice melt to dilute the coffee. Two hours later… and it was still pretty sweet. Verdict: Too sweet too me, add some ice, water, milk or whatever to double up your serving. Customer Service: Didn’t receive a hi but when I dropped my ketchup they gave me an extra one free of charge. Kudos! Overall: 3.5 stars. The reigning asian coffee and tea place in this area seems to be 7 Leaves but I have yet to be there. I would like to say it gives it a good run for it’s money. The price is about right, food was delicious, and I could vibe the environment. Will definitely explore other coffee shops to give a final verdict. TL;DR Tips: * An extra cup of ketchup is 25 cents.

I’m glad this place got a new make over even if it still is basically the same as phat straw. They have definitely improved on their milk tea. The workers are pretty slow though. With processing the order and then making it. We didn’t notice that the worker accidentally gave us an extra drink until we got home. In all honesty if I didn’t try that free drink«the monkey» I wouldn’t have come back. It was really good! I definitely recommend it.

YAY!!! One more star for this place since they DO make my favorite drink– the Honeydew Milk Tea!!! I had to ask them to make it with the green tea since my wife and I are sensitive to the one made with black tea. Once I walked in, the girl who always served me when the place used to be Phat Straw already had my order up with a knowing smile on her face. Day made!!! I noticed that their small drink is served in a small plastic bottle. I don’t know if it is the same amount of drink that a small cup had, I guess I’ll just order large sizes with easy ice(as always!!!). I am glad that Cha2O finally opened up. 7 Leaves is good, but it was getting old.

I moved to this area and was looking for a nearby boba shop. I was going to head to 7 Tea Leaves but Cha2o Mini caught the corner of my eyes and I immediately made a u-turn. I used to live in Fullerton and the Cha2o there wasn’t bad, so I figured that I would give their version of an express store a try. They parking lot was small and pretty empty but then again it wasn’t a school day(Cypress College is right across the street). Upon walking into the shop, my first impression is that it was like the Cha2o in Fullerton — cool, modern, and clean. Just on a smaller scale(as expected). My disappointment came when I realized that the only served drinks and small desserts as according to their large LCD screens menus. I usually based my impression of a boba shop through a simple milk tea and an order of popcorn chicken. I decided to order a milk tea anyway but soon noticed a small black & white sign at the actual cashier that THEYDO serve popcorn chicken along with other traditional boba shop snacks. I took an order of that as well. The store in Fullerton usually takes a long time to bring up my order but to my pleasant surprise, my orders came it extremely quick. My only complaint about the ordering method is that it was hard to hear the employee announce the order/guest’s name — especially with how the restaurant is shaped(L shaped). The walls made it hard to hear certain people announce the names and I also noticed that only one of the Empire employees had a clear and loud voice. The taste of my milk tea was actually really good, even better than the Fullerton branch store. Most boba shops these days are heavy handed when it comes to their sweetener but it was a perfect blend of tea here. You can always ask them to do more or less sweetener though. As for my popcorn chicken, it tasted really good. The texture was nice, the chicken pieces came out super crispy and not soggy at all. However, some of the pieces were huge and was definitely not bite sized. Still tasted good. Other things to mention: * Seats were comfy and well maintained. So were the tables as well. There’s a whole side of just booth seating and chairs to match the amount of tables. * Not sure when their busy hours are but this seems like a nice quiet place to meet up and study with just how the atmosphere is — though they probably don’t promote that with the fact that they offer no free Wi-Fi or outlets available for guests to use. * Music: When I was here, they were playing chill-step and trance like music. It’s nice but I’m not sure what else they play here. * Very small shop. Would not be great to bring a bunch of people here. Overall, I plan on coming back here just to hang when I’m hankering for some boba and snacks.

This Cha2O is across the street from Cypress College, so I took the time to stop by after class last week. It has the same menu as Cha2O, but without the heavier food items. Popcorn chicken and other similar snack items, including desserts, are all on the menu. I purchased my regular Moonlight Mango w/light boba, and it was just as expected. It was a little too sweet, but nothing that a little water to dilute it couldn’t do. The restaurant is a little on the small side, hence MINI. It’s more narrow, and there’s seating both inside and a few tables out. This a great spot if you’re craving boba or slushies. Next time — popcorn chicken!

For some reason, this place seems so much smaller than Phat Straw. The outline of this store is the letter«L». Unlike the Cha2O at Cerritos and Fullerton, where they serve actual entrees, this place only serves drinks and snacks. My friend and I came here during the second day of the grand opening. There were two people sitting at the table when we first arrived and two more groups of people came in while we were waiting for our drinks. They only have three different types of milk tea, so it was limited. However, there were a lot of choices to choose from when it comes to the flavored tea and the smoothies. I got the Tango Mango and it was decent. Tasted exactly like the Tango Mango at TeboTebo, then again, they have the same owner after all. Even though this location is not as big or upscale as the other locations, still, I am glad that they decided to open up a Cha20 near my house. Now, I can get an order of Pom Pom Peach or Triple Stars in 3 minutes instead of 15 minutes. I also noticed that this location only open till 10 P.M. where the other locations open till 1 or 2 in the morning. Then again, better than nothing right?
