Land of a Thousand Hills is located near Tuckerton, not far away from the Berry Center — folks from the Lone Star College and Berry Center are only within a short distance away from this neat coffee shop. I have yet to try their coffee, but I really liked the tea presentation and the tea leaves that they use. The quiche was decent(I wouldn’t get it again); the barista did tell me that they are more of a bakery so there are more sweet baked goods available versus savory kinds. The environment is nice and quiet, so it is perfect for small group meetings or studying.

Wen through and got a raspberry mocha latte, a little too sweet and the large is more of a medium. Will be back but not often.

Came here to study and try out the new place. I got the Caramenilla Latte and my cousin got the Green Tea Latte. They were both good. Not too sweet, just the right amount actually. They both had cute little designs. The place is very spacious and it is definitely a great place for studying. Environment is quiet and cozy. Definitely will be coming here more often. Maybe next time I’ll actually splurge a bit and get some pastries.

Amazing coffee was super strong, but amazing. Really nice set up. Just clean tables little more often my table was super sticky. Also wish they had more food selection. Other than that enjoyed myself.

I have been coming here since it opened, so this review is long overdue. I love this place! The quiche is really good, the cinnamon roll is excellent, and my favorite drink is the Carmanilla Latte. Whenever I am working from home or want coffee, I don’t go to the franchised coffee shop that opened up really close to me that everyone goes to in America, I come here. That let’s you know how awesome this place is.

This place has been on my radar for a while ever since spotting it before it opened I’d wanted to give them a shot. Suffice to say this place is pretty nice and cozy. I ordered a fresh press with one of their in-house beans and was surprised to see that when it came out it came with its own little galvanized steel tray, a small copper server with half and half and creamer with a spoon and napkins. This presentation was classy and quite lovely. The coffee was very nice as well; it was smooth and very easily drinkable. My husband’s latte was very nicely done as well and, again, presently beautifully and classy. The service was, as well, very polite and on spot. My only complaint would be that the seating was pretty limited; when we got there on a rainy Saturday afternoon there was barely anywhere to sit; most tables were occupied by students using the entire table, there were only four couches and communal seating. Outdoor seating was not really an option at the time(rain) but there wasn’t much to be had. Still, the presentation, atmosphere and quality of this place will see me come back.

This place is very close to home, and I’ve had multiple drinks from here before. Other drinks were alright, but I decided to give it a real try. Today I got a matcha latte, and a cinnamon roll. Both were about $ 4 each which isn’t too bad. The matcha latte was okay, it was very milky and it just didn’t taste quite right. The cinnamon roll was pretty big, and tasty. I really like it. The atmosphere of the shop is very cozy, and welcoming. The shop is clean, and the staff if very friendly. I’d definitely come back to give it another try, maybe it was just a few of the items I ordered

Lovely little coffee house! We went when they first opened and we loved the décor, the atmosphere, and the coffee. I am sure once the rest of the shopping center is built up this place will be really busy.

Yum, yum, yum! I’m so impressed with this place. Delicious FRESH blueberry danishes, scrumptious and FRESH bacon cheddar scones, and a very tasty FRESH quiche. My husband and I had to share it all, we couldn’t decide haha. I got a Samoan Chill to drink– delicious iced coffee that tastes so much like a Girl Scout Samoa cookie. The coffee is very rich and you can taste how high quality it is, and I’m not even the least bit knowledgable in coffee. Hubby got something called the Caramello or something like that. He really enjoyed it. I knew my mom was good in the kitchen but her pastry recipes have really blown me away this time. I can’t wait to go back for another scone!

Didn’t like this place at all. Conveniently located near my house, I thought I had found a coffee shop that wasn’t starbucks. Nope. Guess I’ll just stick to my nespresso. Coffee — ordered the iced caramanilla? I forget what it was, in large and medium. The rude asian lady informed me it only comes in one size. If that’s the case why would you advertise two different sizes on the board? Once I got the coffee, the large is definitely NOT large by any means, it’s more like a Starbuck’s Grande at best. Really not worth the $ 9+ for the drinks. Even after sugar, the coffee was too bitter. Service — meh. Rude asian lady took the order and soured my experience with this place. Probably won’t be back.

What a cool new place that just opened up! It’s right off of 290 and Barker Cypress, so that’s a nice area in the suburbs to go hang out with friends or study. They have free wifi, but you do need a new passcode each time, which they provide on little slips of paper. Can you say fancy(but also kind of annoying because you can only use it once). The space is pretty big with plenty of tables to study at, but some of the tables are small. The waiters are really nice and sweet. They’re really friendly and love talking to customers. My favorite thing to get here is the tea! They give you a whole pot and will refill with water and it’s all set on this adorable little tray. I will say, if you get this, it kind of takes up a bit of room, so you have to maneuver things carefully without spilling. I got the mint Moroccan and really enjoyed the freshness of it. They seems to have a pretty decent selection of teas so I guess I’ll just have to go back to try it again. I also got to try this danish that they had, which was meh at best. I can’t remember if they heated up, I think they did, but it does make me question the freshness of it. I can’t say much because I went at the end of the day and they were closing. I probably won’t get any of their pastries next time. Just watch out about the hours though because I think they may close a little bit earlier on some days than others. Other than that, a nice place in the suburbs to go hang out and study. We need more of these rather than corporate places like starbucks.

I thought this place was reasonably priced until I dined in and saw the size of the cups. So tiny! They had nice customer service but other than that I’m not sure I’ll be back. I think I still prefer plum coffee Matcha latte 1÷5− tasted very grassy, somewhat no flavor. I did not like it at all. Wasn’t good White mocha 3.5÷5− I had this iced and it tasted ok. A bit watered down also. Not sure what the problem is but I’m iffy about this place…

Walking in, you notice the space and cleanliness of the coffee shop. The fireplace gives this place a cozy touch. Also, the décor gives it a home-like feel to the place. Vanilla soy latte(5⁄5): The latte was smooth and delicious! Semi sweet with good amount of foam for latte art! The latte art is always on point. Hazelnut soy latte(4⁄5): The latte was more on the sweet side. The latte art was really cute. As for service, drinks are made in a timely manner. They call your name and you can pick up your drink at the counter. Sometimes, they will bring it to you. They also have a reward system for each time you make a purchase. All you have to do is type in your number. Parking shouldn’t be a problem since the lot is spacious. All in all, it’s a great place to catch up with a friend or do some work in the Cypress area!

This a great addition to the pretty lacking coffee scene in cypress. I had some tea and it was great — fairly priced. I can’t say anything about the coffee since I didn’t have any — will update if I get any in the future. The staff were nice and attentive and brought drinks to the table and took the dishes away when you were done. There’s a lot of seating and a cute fire place. There’s also a lot of parking which is always good. The only bad thing was that they weren’t playing any music(and I was there for three hours). Thus, you could hear the conversations of people across the shop. I felt like I had to talk pretty quietly so that the whole place didn’t learn my business. This place would be way better if they just played some kind of background music!

I’m impressed. Great spot and really nice contrast to Starbucks. Most of the coffee is imported from Africa. They offer the pour over technique and believe me it’s worth the 3 minutes… and oh so smooth. My wife had the raspberry mocha and she gave it a resounding two thumbs up. All of their pastries are fresh baked onsite. I’d like to see a few whole grain or less sugary options and I did not try them this time but they looked good. The barista was attentive nice and answered all of our questions. The best part was the nice vibe from this place. Safe to say we will be back and probably sooner rather than later.

I’m all about bakeries and coffee shops; so I was real excited when I heard there was going to be a new one on this side of town. I took my mom and we decided to try out a few things. We were greeted immediately by the staff at the counter and they were very friendly. The interior décor is cute, but I wouldn’t say it’s cozy. The area around the fireplace is very nice, but the rest of the store is pretty simple in contrast. Even though we went on the first day of opening, they didn’t seem to have too much problems with organization or our order. MAPLESCONE– vermont maple and toasted almonds This scone was recommended to us by one of the ladies in charge and I regret listening to her. It was super sweet. My mom and I took one bite each and left the rest on the plate. It was so sugary and it was impossible to eat more. MATCHABLEND I’m all about matcha green tea! The guy at the counter told me it was bitter and asked if I wanted to add some vanilla syrup. I didn’t want to, but he made it seem like it was really necessary. I told him to add a little bit. What I got was just a sugary mess. It was too sweet and undrinkable. I didn’t taste any matcha at all! Extremely disappointed, I just threw away the rest of the drink after one sip. BACON&CHEDDARSCONE– applewood smoked bacon and cheddar This scone was okay. It was a bit salty though, but It’s meaty and a good breakfast food for the morning. It did taste cheesy, but you still got a nice bite of savoriness from the bacon. HAM&CHEESETURNOVER– hickory smoked ham and swiss cheese This turnover was not that great. There was barely any ham or cheese. I had to take a few bites before I was able to get a piece of ham. I can’t really write a review on this because it tasted like nothing. It was like a turnover with nothing in it. I won’t be coming back for the food, but maybe I’ll try some coffee when I come next time, but it won’t be any time soon. The food is below mediocre and the one drink I had was just undrinkable. I’m extremely disappointed in this place and I’m not expecting anything great the next time I come either, but maybe they need another chance because they just opened.

Summary– Preliminary 3 stars, will update when I see how they handle being busy. Starbucks in this area are generally terribly slow so I am looking to Thousand Hills to be better than them. Drinks– 4 Stars Hot drinks(Chai Latte, Latte) were both very good. The Rwandan Chill(frap knockoff) was also very good. The Iced coffee was meh, overly bitter even for cold brew. They also need a much larger iced size. Service– 2 Stars We did a drive-thru. They were pretty darned slow, if there had been any real traffic they would have been seriously in the woods. They are still new so kinda expected. The other really odd thing is they handed me two little creamers with my iced coffee. They need to ask you how you want your coffee, my car isn’t a kitchen. Atmosphere– 4 Stars Looks nice, in cool new retail towne lake is finishing up.

Half of my excitement comes from finally having a specialty coffee shop in the area! Coffee: offer an assortment of options, both pour over and traditional espresso drinks. Their capp was a bit lighter bodied than I was hoping for but overall decent! Some of the employees are unskilled and know very little, so quality will vary Price range is actually a bit below average, which a student will appreciate. The splotchy wifi is less appreciable, but could be just due to the newness of the facility. Large and small tables for working, and quiet environment. Also commend friendly staff! Would return!
