While the cupcakes are still good, they have definitely gotten smaller within the last year. They are no longer slightly oversized cupcakes with an overflowing muffin-top. They’re just a normal size now. The size is very similar to HEB or Kroger’s cupcakes. This might be forgiven except the icing seems to be half as much as well as the filling. My chocolate crème is not what it used to be. I might need to start looking around for a new dessert spot.

Cupcakes taste good, worth the money. Tried several different flavors and red velvet and white chocolate were my favorites. Cupcakes are topped with a lot of icing… yum

The customer service here was horrid. Unless you like chocolate… the variety sucked too. I won’t be coming back.

Was really disappointed with the cupcakes. Tried the lemon, pink chocolate, and double fudge cupcakes. Was really expecting a lot from the lemon and the only on lemon was a little on the top and some jelly under the buttercream. The double fudge tasted like a Duncan Hines mix. Don’t normally like to give bad reviews but for the cost of these cupcakes I expected much more.

The best cupcakes ever. I could eat the entire store without thinking twice! I like to bring these as a hostess gift because who doesn’t want a fantastic cupcake??? My favorite from this last order was the Reese’s peanut butter cup. But I have yet to have one of their cupcakes that I didn’t like!

So far, so good! I took a bite before I took a pic… oops!!! So the first bite was the kicker… very moist on the vanilla mint chip cupcake. Vanilla flavor is sufficient, mint is very subliminal and not too overwhelming. The chocolate icing is moist and??? chocolate lol… can’t think of the word but not milk chocolate :). I haven’t tasted the second one cuz I planned on taking it home for my hubby to try. It is «Pink Chocolate», which is chocolate cake w/pink buttercream icing… I hope it makes it home :). The location is in Fairfield across the parking lot from the outlet mall. The directions on Unilocal direct you to possibly an old location) near Target) don’t go there! Anyway, I should be back soon. They say they have«wedding cake cupcakes» on Thurs which are my all time Fav, so Thursday it is!

I’m a baker, and admittedly a bit of a cake snob. The cupcakes themselves were decent and moist. The icing? Way too much, and not that great. I had the«chocoholic» cupcake. I expect to be slammed with chocolate flavor. I got some in the cake, but zero in the icing… I don’t know if I’ll be going back. At $ 3.50 for a cupcake, I could make a dozen exactly the way I want them for less.

If I could I would give them 0 stars. Don’t believe their so called«classifications»!Nasty cupcakes, I gave them 3 chances and they always disappoint. The only good thing about them is their cake balls.

Wow — weirdest worst service ever. I’ve been in twice and both times the same girl was working. She does not smile. Looks annoyed that there is a customer inside. Does not make eye contact. When I asked her about the signs on the window advertising tv shows the place had been on she has no idea what I was talking about. When I asked her about the cupcakes and her favorites, she had no comments. I bought a cupcake and it was served on a cheap styrofoam plate. The plate could not support the cupcake and the minute I was handed it, it fell off the plate. The girl then asked«do you want another one» DUH. Then she rang up the register to charge for a new cupcake!!! Thankfully when I looked shocked that she was going to charge again, she said«oh I guess I won’t charger you.» So odd. It was technically her fault. Will not be returning. The cupcake itself was nothing special.

Absolutely loved these cupcakes, so decadent and delicious, perfect for little ones and us adults with a sweet tooth, they offer a great variety and are very knowledgeable of what’s in each one. The moon pie cake was amazing! And I saw one with bacon lol I won’t try it but heard its amazing!

I’m all over bakeries and tried to give this place a chance — TWICE! Won’t try again. Visiting a bakery is an experience in itself. The counter help — if they know what they are doing — can usually convince me to try anything. Not here. The young girl at the counter barely says hello. Forget any greetings or «How can I help or you?» You won’t get that here. She has NO people skills and she clearly knows nothing about her product. We asked a few questions and she barely responded or showed any emotion. Sorry, dear… didn’t mean to bother you. If you are looking to satisfy your sweet craving, you may be ok, but don’t expect anyone to be too thrilled that you even walked in the door and don’t ask any questions because they won’t know the answers.

Just when I think I’ve had all of the cupcake trend I can tolerate, I come across a shop like this that has bite size choices in the form of small cake balls roughly equivalent to the size of a ping-pong ball. Surprisingly, these were just the right size to quench a sugar craving without the toothache sugar after burn. Equally surprising was how, unlike some full size cupcakes, these were soft and almost chewy. The flavors were interesting and different and with the small size, are guilt-free if you take a bite and decide«yuck». You probably won’t have that experience in any case, because they do a nice job in keeping the flavors true to the name.(chocolate coconut is great; the fat elvis made of banana and peanut butter sounds a little less so.) Don’t misunderstand, Smallcakes still has the full size cupcakes, but the kid-sized cakes are a perfect alternative. It’s a nice spot to rest for a bit and re-energize with sugar or to pick up a surprise treat for home or the office.

Good cupcakes, not too sweet like most places, icing was not overwhelming but delicously enough and cupcake was soft and moist and full of flavor! A bit pricy though. $ 3.25 for what seems to be like a «regular» cupcake compared to the gourmet ones like crave/sprinkles which is the same price

We decided to give this place the full shot. It was break day from the diet, so what the heck, we bought ½ dozen. Sadly, the result is giving Smallcakes a two star rating. I can say that the storefront was nice and the service was friendly. Sadly, the cupcakes are just too sweet, too heavy and crumbly. I had the peanut butter, the chocolate stuffed with cream filling and the caramel crunch. I knew I was in trouble when I picked the first one up. It was way to heavy. Don’t get me wrong. The flavors were good. They were just dense, had way too much icing on them and were overly sweet. By the second cupcake, I just removed the icing and tried to eat the cupcake as it crumbled apart. I would just assume have an HEB or Kroger’s cupcake. Sorry Smallcakes.

If there’s anything I’m a sucker for, it’s delicious &MOIST cupcakes. That has been very hard to find in a cupcake and I’ve had my fair share of dry, sub-par SPONGES… ops…I mean cupcakes. Just like the little engine that could, I keep on atryin’. Smallcakes had a decent selection of cupcakes and freshly made sweet treats to try. I went for the carmel crunch. It had the most amazing pillow-y soft decadent chocolate cupcake bottom I’ve ever had — I’m not that much a fan of the icing, but the cupcake cake was sooooo nom. I also tried the sweet potato cupcake –it was reminiscent of sweet potato casserole– marshmallows and all — with very delish cream cheese icing. In fact, I ate a little of the cream cheese icing with my chocolate cake and my mouth exploded. fin.
