The food is always good and normally the service is too. Tonight not so much

Dive bar. Dirty. Not enough seating or dance floor when my favorite band is playing. Great drink and food prices. Never a cover. Incredible bacon cheeseburgers!

Great hole in the wall country bar in Deep Ellum. They have great bands about every night. If you want to go two-steppin to a live band and don’t want huge crowds, this might be the place. Plus, they have great craft beer.

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. I sat there all night enjoying myself and paying for drinks all night long. Come closing time, they kicked me out without even letting me close out my tab. I turned around to try to recover my credit card and close the tab and they refused me! I took LITERALLY(yes, *actually* literally) took less than five steps out of the bar before turning back, but they didn’t care. «Got a plane to catch in the morning? Who cares. You’re on our schedule now!» I knocked on the door and tried to explain my situation — and had them threaten to call the cops on me, simply for trying to pay my tab. This is a bar that will delight taking your money, and then throw you out on your @$$ when they can longer profit off of you. There’s countless better places in Dallas for live music — INCLUDING the bar next door.

Bartender dumped a beverage on me, didn’t apologize or take ownership. Love this town, but the worst experience I ever had.

I take it all back. After trying the burger a few times I finally had a burger that made me see what the hype was about. I went in a week or so ago and ordered the cheeseburger. It came out pink, which was wonderful. Good flavors and juicy. Dear baby burger jesus — I have seen the light.

Great music, burgers and staff. Derek W. A great bartender well established in the Dallas scene. A place to time with friends and just relax and have a good time. Live Music most nights.

Old school feel with new music and a very heterogeneous crowd — The music is the biggest draw of this place. I’ve never been disappointed with the performances. Dancing is possible most of the time. Just go for it with a stranger, and you might get the dance party started. — Who doesn’t love a GOOD dive bar? — The beer selection is a little better than what you might expect when you walk in. Yes, there is A LOT of Bud Light and Lone Star floating around, but class it up and get a Shiner!

I felt right at home at Adair’s Saloon! Even on a random week night they had live music and a great crowd. Only a few people, but everyone was having a great time, and one couple even stood up and danced. Dallas folks are just awesome. The bartender was super personable. I had problems with my eye contacts, left my tab open, and he directed me to the nearest 7 – 11 to get contact solution. I came back blind but I still had a great time. I believe they have live music almost everyday starting at 7pm. The band that night was great. They engaged the crowd and were just having a great time. They even said bye to me mid song as I was leaving. Adair’s Saloon is a divey bar but not dingy. Also they had a fantastic deal on Texas liquors. I’m pretty sure my tito’s and soda was about $ 3 each that night. Crazy how just the other week I had paid almost $ 12 for a tito’s soda in Los Angeles. Hah, I love you Texas!

I was in Dallas, looking for a good burger in a divey joint. Well, I found it in Adair’s! It’s definitely a spot that has a divey feel but with good customer service. Their menu isnt that big but the burger was pretty good.

Really good burgers, they cook to order which means quality meat. Best bacon I ever tasted. I had my burgers done to medium. The French fries were just so-so. Blood and Honey beer is on draft and was really good with oranges. The place is really small and divey but has lots of character. They also have a really great shuffle board and some great live music.

Visited Adair’s on a Saturday night on a suggestion from an acquaintance(was visiting from Boston). Had heard the Deep Ellum area was a little«seedy.» Reminded me of Adams Morgan in DC. Lots of bars and restaurants in a few blocks. We went to Adair’s to hear live music. I’d describe it as having a lot of character — from the pictures and writing on the walls to the music. The crowd was mostly 20s/30s. People were up dancing to the band and a lot of people seemed to know each other. Overall, it had a low key, but fun vibe.

Urban Cowboy Getaway Probably one of the oldest bars left in Dallas is Adairs. From it’s start in Uptown before it was Uptown to it’s move to a low key Deep Ellum, it’s a great place to come have drink while listening to a great live music band. I have heard from awful to awesome and everything in between. For the most part, they are normally pretty good though. Make sure to check out their schedule. It’s a dive of a dive bar, nothing fancy here but decent food and drinks. I like their fries and burgers, cheap and made the old fashioned way. You can also feel like a celebrity when you come here. The walls, tables and ceilings are all tagged up with names and dates of Adair’s many patrons. If you can find a spot, take it as your claim to bar immortality. Writing’s on the wall

I’ve never been mad enough at a business to write a negative review, but Adair’s customer service(or lack thereof) from one bartender was appalling enough that writing a negative review is well warranted. It was a Friday night, so naturally the place was busy. The atmosphere was great and the music was fantastic. My wife and I went up to the bar to order shots for the group we were with. We waited 5 minutes for service, which is not a complaint by any means. I expect to wait 5 minutes or more on a busy Friday night. But this is where it went downhill. This bartender asks us «What can I do for y’all?» My wife tries to order one drink, and the bartender says he’s out of the main ingredient for that one. She asks for a different one and he says, «Okay what else?» I ask for an Alien Brain Hemorrhage, and he says he doesn’t know what that is, which, okay, it’s kind of an obscure drink so no problem. So I ask for an Irish Car Bomb, and he says he’s out of Bailey’s. Pretty basic liquor, but whatever. So I ask, «Well what do you recommend?» And he says to me, verbatim, «Uh, I’m thinking you better make up your mind, because I’m kind of in a hurry.» And it was in the exact tone you just read it in: pushy. I was a bit taken aback, as you can imagine, so I just said I’ll get what she’s getting. But afterwards, I kind of regretted giving this dbag my money. I’m so sorry to inconvenience you, buddy! Maybe if you would stock up on some basic liquor, we wouldn’t have taken up so much of your precious time. Next time I feel like getting treated like the dirt that was caked on the bar,(as opposed to, you know, a paying customer) I’ll come to this place. Until then, I’ll head elsewhere.

People see this place with their own perceptions of dirty grungy immature blahness. I see the diveyness of this place as unique. The writing and graffiti that covers literally every square inch of this place from the ceiling to the floor is art work. It represents a certain American culture of comfort and chill out attitude. So fitting for this place. Beers and wells are limited. Food is greasy cheap, and, the burgers are said to be what every drunk night needs. I’ve yet to try one. Doesn’t mean I won’t. It smells a little off in here. Could be 50 years of sweat, tears, beers and whiskey. They have live music every night for FREE! Famous bands like the Dixie Chick’s have played here. It is a Country bar, but, they have a good rocking juke you can enjoy when there is no band playing. And, if you sit at the bar you can rest your feet on railroad ties. From the blood of the flag to the bumper stickers to the power adapter that hangs from the ceiling to the Xmas lights to the broken Cobb street sign to the good music to the«Two Step Boogie» to the friendly staff and crowd to the graffiti to the greasy food to the smell to the beers and the wells that are limited yet perfect, all make this one of the most unique dives I’ve been in. Gladly give them five stars!

The grubby nature of Adairs with it’s layers of sticky collectibles(and dirt) amassed since 1963, detracts from it’s almost undisputed title as «most authentic country dive bar in Dallas.» Being misplaced as a time capsuled honky tonk in citified Dallas is more novel than comfortable with its grease radiating UFO sized hamburgers($ 7), junk store décor and toothless fat bartendress. My first visit, empty at 3pm during the week, I was asked, by said fat waitress, who might be named«Honey», to leave the premises for not having an ID. No I really wasn’t being offensive. Second visit was more serendipitous and planet aligned with handsome players from the local gay rugby team sparring at the shuffle board table, cute hipster girls, and the fast confirmation by a Texas Toast sandwich consumer, when asked«Was it greasy?» with a speechless pale wide eyed look that might have looked like a burp and sounded like«in space no one can hear you scream.» that I should never order food here. If I get drunk enough, chances are I will. $ 1 popcorn live music con The post hydrochloric acid bath.

Totally fun space! I didn’t know what to expect as my friends and I walked towards the space but we knew it would be fun based on the music pumping out into the street. There’s just one thing to know before you go… Don’t forget a Sharpie! This place is the absolute most graffitti’d bar I’ve ever seen. Ever wall, every surface, even the CEILINGS are scrawled on! I’m not sure how long this bar has been here but just from the scribbles alone I’d guess it’s been around a while. The bar staff was super nice, drinks came quick, and the live music had everyone dancing and smiling. The crowd was also interesting, too. I noticed people in their 40s and older, but also a great mix of young folks. It’s almost as if the bar doesn’t have a theme because the crowd was so diverse. But that’s what made it fun! Good people watching too. On a warm summer night it was perfect to grab some seats outside and talk to my friends over the music coming through the windows onto the street. It was a nice break from dancing and we ended up having such a blast we closed the bar down! But that wasn’t hard to do when nearly everyone else in the bar did too. We had no reference for time because there was still a large group of people hanging out till close. I also recall the door man really kindly reminding us that it was last call and that at some point he had to stack up and pack away the patio furniture for the night. It was so different from Seattle where they holler at you and scream at you to tell you to leave. Here they were super friendly and not too pushy. It worked wonders because as soon as he announced last call we paid up and left promptly. Such a fun night! If I’m back in Dallas I’d definitely make a trip back here.

Adair’s is a staple on this side of Deep Ellum. They offer live music on a nightly basis. The music is country and more specifically Texas Country. If you have to ask what Texas Country is. you might want to stay clear. The interesting thing about Adair’s for new visitors is all the decorations on the wall. Just about every inch of this place is covered with something unique and interesting. So the crowd at Adair’s is a diverse crowd. Everyone is encouraged to stand up and dance if the mood hits you. Don’t worry guys, you won’t have a problem finding a lovely lady to dance with. This place is a bit old school in a lot of ways. There is shuffleboard in the back & if you’re a smoker you can sit on the patio. But one thing you will find out is that is they offer food. It’s basic burgers and fries. But you’re going to be surprised. They are like some roadside gas station burger from Arkansas.(I’m not saying Arkansas burgers are better than the ones in Texas, I’m just saying there are more roadside gas station burgers in Arkansas.) They are greasy, tasty and something to be proud of, especially with that big olé purple onion on it! Food til 1:30am! If you go there more than 3 times, you’ll probably get to know the bartender and enjoy a good laugh or two. Parking in the area is the normal Deep Ellum parking. Some street parking, but most is parking lots around the building.

Two stars because I laughed at tons of people while is was here. They also have Malibu rum which is appreciated. This place literally takes the phrase«writing on the wall» literally. If you have a message you want immortalized please write it on any wall you can find room. This place is awful but that is why I enjoyed it.
