Frozen Guava margarita and brisket tacos were amazing!!! I was literally disappointed my meal ended the food was so good. Definitely recommend, the Margarita was by far the best I’ve had in a long time and… It was only $ 6. Winner, definitely will return.

Tizoncito is great. It’s like a cool little taco shop you might expect to see in Mexico City. The staff is warm and friendly, the food is tasty. They’ve got all the usual selections for tacos with many specialties. Everything new I’ve tried, has been delicious. A great drink selection from Mexican Coke to adult beverages. We’ve been several times and will keep going back. It’s a great casual place to stop in for a bite and a drink. I believe they’re open kinda late, so that helps too. Give it a try, you’ll probably like it.

Love this place and they’re open til 1am on weekends! Took a little bit to get a waitress attention but then service was very attentive. Laid back environment and clearly the crowd comes for the authentic food! We started with the rajas & chorizo melted cheese, then very simply but wonderful bistec tacos and finished with a surprisingly delicious corn cake. Seriously — give it a try! Really good!

Not really that great, tacos are dry and salsa was subpar, service wasn’t that good either, they were not busy and still took a long time to get our order taken and served. will not be back to this location.

Came here for lunch on a Thursday with a friend. I walked in and was expecting a fast food type Mexican place but nope they asked me how many and told me to sit anywhere. They immediately came over and took my drink order and then brought two bowls of their scrumptious black bean soup and salsa tray. The menu was in Spanish and English. The tacos are less tex-mex tacos and more street tacos. They have choices from beef, pork, chicken and brisket. They also have quesadillas and a ton of other options. They have margaritas, beer, Mexican soda and other American beverages. I ordered the brisket tacos and they were amazing. You get three corn tortillas with juicy brisket and onion and poblano peppers on the top. There were so many other options that looked amazing so I think this is a place I will return to in the future :-)

I stopped by this place on my way to a meeting in the area. I will definitely be checking out the one on Lemmon closer to where I live. The pastor sope was delicious and huge! I think it may be the best pastor I’ve tried. I also got a chicken taco, which wasn’t necessary given the size of the sope. It was great, too. The salsas and black bean soup that came with the meal were muy deliciosos. The women serving the tables were extremely friendly and service was fast at lunch. The décor is nothing fancy, but is clean, bright, and plenty of space. Great food, great people, and great prices. What more can you ask for?

Went in on a Sunday afternoon for a drink. Our server suggested something called a Michelada so ended up getting that. It’s basically a drink that has beer, tomato juice, lime juice, hot sauce served in a chilled salt rimmed glass. Had rajas con queso and it was absolutely delicious! The service was not compromised despite being very busy. Our server kept on checking in on us and even took the time to explain and suggest items on the menu. This place is not your regular taqueria. Loved everything about this place!

Came here when I got off of work and definitely didn’t regret it. This is my second time here and I have to say that I am as equally impressed with the service rendered this time around as I was last time. The service is amazing and the food is just as comparable. After being asked if I need help with the menu, I was given the most popular as well as the server’s favorite. The TV’s were a nice distraction for my growling belly until the food came, which was not even 8 minutes later. I ordered the pastor and chicken tacos. The pastor tacos came with pineapple but since I don’t like to mix, I just ate it as my dessert and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend coming here. I hear their alcoholic drinks speak for themselves. I guess I’ll have to check them out next time!

This is it. Real deal Mexican café with excellent quality food at a very reasonable price. I had the gringo tacos(pork). I added some chopped onion, pineapple and drizzled with green salsa. Delicious. The tortillas were homemade and slightly crispy but just on the top layer of the flour surface.(I can never get my tortillas at home to brown like that.) Cheerful hostess, knowledgeable server and bright atmosphere with salsa music playing in the background. When you get a craving for some real Mexican tacos, go here. You will not be disappointed! I intend to go back and try some of the other menu items.

Wow, just wow… We went to the new location at Frankford and Marsh and wow, just wow… It is so delicious. They sat us and gave us a variety of salsas, onions and cilantro with bowls of black beans. They were delicious. I got the brisket tacos and they are SOGOOD! The meat was flavorful and tender. The mix of the meat, cheese, avocado slice and crispy tortilla is absolute perfection!

Met up with friends and I had read reviews before I went. I was happy with the black been soup. I ordered the regular margarita and was disappointed at the small size of it and that I didn’t order the mango flavor because I tasted my friends later abd it was delicious! They got the guacamole and for it to be good I needed to add salt, lime and more cilantro. For my entrée I had to order a pastor taco and bistek taco. Very disappointed with the pastor that others reviewed about. It was over cooked pork. If that’s authentic then I prefer the other pastor I can get any other place. Then they charged an extra .50 cents on the bill for a t.a.b.c. tax. So expect a small margarita for $ 6.50. It wasn’t the worst tacos I’ve had but not good enough to make me wanna go back.

HOLYSHIT! THOSEFLAUTAS!!! Dropped in for the first time yesterday to grab some football munchies to go. El Tiz wasn’t at all what I expected. This is not some slapdash, sketchy, repurposed Dairy Queen next to a gas station. It’s a bright, contemporary place with full service, cold beer, margaritas, and even a couple of TVs(they were showing the Cowboys game on Sunday). Anyhow, I wandered in there and walked over to the eating bar at the back and sat down. After a few minutes with the menu, I couldn’t quite decide how I wanted to mix things up, so the waiter pointed out the mixed taco plate — which also included a cheese quesadilla. Sounded good to me, so I took it, along with an order of the chicken flautas(filled with chicken, cheese, AND potatoes). Right after he left with my order, another waitress offered me a steaming cup of black bean soup while I waited. Man, that bean soup was good! It had little bits of meat in it, and was garnished with a little fresh cilantro. Way better than chips and salsa. As I finished the beans, my order was ready to roll, so I headed back home. I got four good-sized tacos and the quesadilla. There was brisket, pastor, pork chop, and chicken. I had some of the brisket and pastor tacos, along with a bite of the quesadilla, before we decided to break into the flautas. I opened up the box and saw three LARGE flautas, topped with lettuce, drizzled in crema, and sprinkled with a little cheese. HOLYCRAP, THEREWASSOMUCH… STUFFINTHESETHINGS! And, as advertised, they were effing awesome! I could’ve made a meal out of one flauta and a taco, but nooooo, I went back for another half-flauta, along with the pork chop taco that nobody had claimed. Their loss. So, yeah. El Tizoncito is a great find for me. I will be back for the rest of the menu…

Pretty good. I got the everything tacos in the middle of the menu. Usually the chicken tacos aren’t that great in my experience, but here, it was probably one of my favorite ones along with the pork tacos. Got flan for dessert and it was very tasty. Came with my siblings(there are 4 of us) during lunch time and it was pretty packed. I wish it was a little closer to me.
