This place looks and sounds like a fun place on the outside when approaching as well as on the inside. That all came to a prompt hault when I witnessed what makes me want to call the Environmental and Health Department. I walked in and sat at the bar and proceeded to watch the female bartendar with long dark hair take all of the tall drinking cups, dip them in murky water, dunk them in another sink of water and then turn them upside down to dry on dishcloths. Then she proceeded to stack said cups on top of other dry cups that one would think are cleaned, b/c it’s the cups she was using to serve people. There was absolutely NO sponge or scrubbing the cups of any kind! To test out my disturbed theory(in hopes that all she was going to do was take all of the cups to the back to have them dish-washed), I ordered an ice water. To my astonishment, she took one of the non-washed cups and added ice and water to it. I was disgusted and won’t be back. There were 2 other patrons at the bar that watched this bartender perform this grotesque action. We were all appalled, and they had just finished dinner and were squeamish. Yuck.

Part of a chain where the place is the street name and Point. So Northwest Point is related to Addison Point. Its a bar with a decent burger and fries. Cool place to grab a beer and have a bite to eat. Don’t expect a gourmet burger, instead, a classic american griddle burger with good fries. Load up on the ketchup and don’t order anything healthy and don’t forget to order a beer or 6. It’s a classic dive bar atmosphere. Not really a family place.

I have been here twice for lunch. It is an older place and it is a bar more than a restaurant. The food is really good and comes out fast. I ordered a chicken fried steak which is there special and it was really good. The guy behind the bar was nice and kept it entertaining. Lunch will costs you about $ 11 here.

This place is dirty as hell what with the old cow-folk, stale cigarette smoke that will never die, and lunchtime lady alcoholics(I personally saw one in the bathroom, slurring with her white wine on a Thursday at noon. Yes.). BUTTHEMAHALOBURGERWILLMAKEYOUWEEPFORJOY. ½ lb patty, tomato, some kind of chile pepper, sriracha, cream cheese, pineapple… and I don’t remember what else but it was soooo delicious.

This place used to be one in a chain of «Point» bars around Dallas. Some are still there but most are gone. The NW Point has remained closer to the original concept than the remaining others. This place is an off-the-beaten path dive. It’s in a seedy area but not so bad you should avoid it. The burgers are absolutely legendary. The flat fries(thick, fried potato chips) are great. The drinks are reasonably priced. I eat lunch there every once in a while and it’s amusing listening to all the day drunks solve the world’s problems between their 9th and 10th drinks. This is primarily an old-man bar, the hip young urban-ites definitely don’t hangout here. The NW Point is a good place when you don’t want to be seen. Sometimes that’s a good thing…
