I’ve been coming here for years since my office was right around the corner. My office has since moved but anytime I’m driving near Mockingbird I get a craving for sushi and Sushi Time is the only place to go. They have the best deals two rolls for $ 10 and their chef is amazing.

Came here for lunch around 12pm and I didn’t get my food until 12:35.my lunch is only 45mins so I pretty much had one piece and had to leave. They need to come up with a different system or hire more sushi chefs because that is just ridiculous how long it took to make ONE roll.

I hate doing this, but it’s necessary. The food is no longer good. Cleanliness is not a priority like it used to be. I have moved on.

The prices are reasonable and they have good lunch specials. Make sure you get your miso soup & California rolls when you order your lunch special because I’ve gone before and they’ve forgotten to add them. The woman, whom I’m assuming is the owner, is very sweet but the service is meh & the food is mediocre but get what you pay for.

Say you want sushi… But payday is a couple days away… And you’re REALLY hungry… Sushi Time is your savior. Good sushi in Dallas really comes in one flavor, and that’s dimly lit restaurants where you can expect to drop at least twenty bucks to even remotely fill you up. Sushi time is not that kind of place. It’s a step down in quality for sure, but it’s still above say grocery store quality and plenty tasty. The décor is quaint(think mom and pop) and the service is great(see above about mom and pop). And the price… Oh the price… You can’t really beat their 2 rolls for $ 10. It won’t win an award for best sushi in town, but they’re still doin’ it right.

Even though Sushi Time is the only game in town by my office, that doesn’t automatically make it decent. I want to like this place, but it’s just too mediocre to recommend to anyone with a taste for high quality sushi and sashimi. In retrospect, it’s apparent they have a design motif going on: staleness. The restaurant smells distinctly of soggy cardboard and the food’s presentation carries on this aesthetic. I’m not one of those shallow sushi snobs who thinks taste is in the plating. However, I do expect the sushi to at least look fresh and sliced evenly. Yet, my spicy salmon roll and my Alaskan roll looked like part of a half-eaten Lu Ann Platter from Luby’s. Keeping with the Stale Chic design mantra, both of my rolls lacked flavor and seemed to sort of droop on the plate as if they had been watered down. Perhaps the chef was the guy in college who replaced his Dad’s scotch with water thinking he wouldn’t know.

Small mom and pop shop. Owners are lovely people. Always clean. Low priced Entrees with variety. I only go out for lunch about once a month; but this is the place I usually go. They sneak in a few Korean ingredients; I wish that they went full throttle and added bimbibap.

Crap crap crap. The quality of the fish is poor. The wasabi is fake and colored to be green and the ginger is shredded and dry to cut down on costs. I would never come back even if it was free

Favorite place to get sushi near my house. Best lunch deal I’ve seen anywhere in Dallas. $ 10 gets you 6 small rolls and an 8 piece specialty roll PLUS miso soup and a small salad. Am I even in Dallas??? Alaskan roll is my favorite, the salmon is always what I’m craving. Love the spicy salmon rolls too. Run by a really nice Japanese family. The quality of the fish is what you expect for the price, but they have good variety in their special rolls. They have other well priced combos for simple rolls and sashimi, but I’ve never tried those. Have tried their bulgogi beef lunch plate and it was pretty good too. Something for everyone here. Is it the best sushi in town? No. But it’s the best for the price and a great place to get your fix. It’s BYOB, too!

I came in with me being the only person in the restaurant. Looks ok inside but I pretended like I didn’t know what I wanted. So another lady comes in and orders. The cook, who was busy eating and playing with his phone goes into the kitchen to start making this ladies food. Never washed his hands, never put on any gloves. He then comes out of the kitchen to answer the phone and goes right back in to finish preparing food. Nah… cheap or not, I’ll pass. If I can visibly see him not being clean, then I definitely don’t want the food.

The sushi tastes good and less expensive than most sushi places by a small amount. However, they are very cheap on the amount of raw fish on top of special rolls. I ordered Dragon Roll and Alaskan Roll and it was mostly avocado on top and a really tiny sliver of the fish I ordered it for. Kind of disappointed. If I pay $ 18 for sushi, I want raw fish. Not just filler, rice, and avocado. I would come here again, but I would order something other than sushi next time. Service is good. Place is clean enough.

This was my first visit and I was a little weary, but it was pretty good! I got the 2 for $ 10 roll deal– Happy Roll and a Spicy Crab Roll. They give complimentary miso and a salad with ginger dressing. I was super full. Looking for a good, cheap, and quick sushi meal? This is your spot. They also seem to have a popular takeout option.

Came on a Saturday afternoon. Was understaffed, main woman was running around trying to help everyone. Several tables from previous customers were covered in dirty dishes. They had 2 rolls for $ 10. Place just didn’t seem super sanitary or smoothly run. They were playing rap music also, which didn’t seem to go with the«Asian» environment.

This was my first time today and I will be returning. SUCH a great deal. I had one of the combos… chicken teriyaki. For a little over $ 8 you get soup, salad and sushi with your meal. I thought the flavor was great. It tasted fresh. I recommend it.

The price is good & the sushi is good, for the price. You won’t be wowed but you will be full & so will your wallet. You can get 2 rolls for $ 10, and it comes with miso soup and salad.(The soup+salad was a surprise for me, so it tasted pretty good). Service is pretty fast, even during the crowded weekday lunch hours. If you’re not a sushi snob and want something fast and cheap, check this place out. Closed Sundays!

A nice spot for cheap sushi. I like the chicken and beef teriyaki for the price(~$ 8). Sushi specials are good, but it’s true, the second, simpler roll usually is full of rice and little meat. Service is always really nice and fast. All meals are served with miso soup and salad with ginger dressing. I love that ginger dressing. If you need a quick fix on the cheap, this is the place to go.

Tried this place out today. Little unassuming place off mockingbird, next to New Fine Arts. Get in, get seated pretty quickly. This place is pretty small– according to fire code, its max capacity is 49. Not 50, but 49. We get our waters and order our food. So far, so good… Sit, talk, hang out for a bit… then a little bit more. then they come out apologizing that our food is taking so long… there were people that came in after us that got food. My guess– they forgot about us.
Get our food, not too shabby. One of the rolls we got were really tiny. No bueno. The other roll looked significantly larger. Both tasted good, but it would have been nice if there was more. The menu says that one roll will have six pieces and one will have ten, but they don’t tell you that six piece roll will be emaciated and sad looking. But, like I said, the flavors were good so that’s a plus. Will give it another try to see how consistent their food and service is.
