All I remember about this place is the burger and the fries! I was really hungry that day! and this was the first closest choice for me! I would agree with many the Patio is really good! Go enjoy!

I’ve seen better… Honestly not sure how this place is still open? Service is horrible! Food is, at best, just ok… And they let a lot of odd characters in there!

Came here this past weekend. I’ll keep this short and sweet. Staff = Clueless. Needs to accept they are in the SERVICE industry. Management does not seem to care. The management/owners need to pay for good entertainment Only saving grace of the night is there are plenty of other bars nearby

So, i’ve been here 7 or 8 times. My buddy Paul Stark plays his acoustic show here every other thursday. If he wasn’t playing I wouldn’t likely be here. The bartenders are really nice to girls at the bar, but they seem bothered when I come up for a drink. The service on the patio is slow, even when nobody is there. I kind of scratch my head as to why there is never a crowd there, considering the great outdoor patio, and busy mckinney ave. locale. And after reading these Unilocal reviews I understand why. Thanks Unilocal

This was my first time here. If you’re having to go out of your way to direct people to tip you, you’re obviously not doing something right. Douchey bartender decides to point out the oversized tip jar to patrons BEFORE drinks have even been ordered. Hmm. In an effort to let him know his attempt to drum up some money was a success, I let him know as I was dropping my money down in the jar, «this.is.for. you…» «oh hey, no big deal man,» he says. I laugh. Apparently it is, buddy. 3 stars for having three bathrooms. Women, unisex, and men. Didn’t try the food and drank beer, so you can’t screw that up.

Sundays at The patio are a good time if you are looking to drink, listen to some good hip hop/top 40, dance and have a good time! I will be back.

Nothing is «rude» about this place. Come by on a Sunday & see how crazy it gets. Cheap drinks, good food, great vibe & an awesome DJ(Tekneek) provides one of the best Sunday Fundays Dallas has to offer.

I had a great time when I went Super Bowl weekend. Great crowd, lively spot, bartenders actually look for you in the crowd to see if you are ready for another round. Lots of pretty faces but overall a good mix. Very comfortable atmosphere with a great mixture of music. I liked it.

I came to The Patio Grill to see a friend play music, or otherwise I would have just left. We sat down at the patio(which is nice! big TV’s fans etc.) and waited for the waitstaff to notice. It wasn’t really that busy, but we ended up NEVER getting a waitress and just went inside to the bar to get a bucket of beer. Really, it was not that big of a deal. Its only 8:30 so we decided to grab a bite to eat. Once again, NO waitstaff in sight, so I once again went to the bar and grabbed menus. We finally flagged down a waittress who apparently knew the group beside us bc she was laughing and hugging them. She came over seemingly put out we ruined her conversation and she took three orders without writing anything down. I also asked for another bucket of beer. From the time I went inside to get the first one, to 20 minutes later the price had gone up SIXDOLLARS. I asked if the first one was happy hour. She said no they weren’t doing any specials and it must of been a mistake. Sorry. 30 minutes later, I get a grilled ‘chicken’ sandwich that looks like something that came from a middle school cafeteria and of course it was completely wrong. I had to sit there for another 10 min waiting to tell her my food was wrong so I could wait some more for her to fix it. Just awful service. But hey, the waffle fries were actually pretty decent. We waited around to close tabs for so long I just went ahead and went inside and closed out my tab. Low and behold, who was SITTINGATTHEBAR flirting with guys and giving out her cell phone number? Our waittress. She didn’t even bother to say hi or sorry or thanks for coming in. Why have a waitstaff if patrons have to do everything? Won’t be going back again.

This place is pretty terrible… I’m not sure I have ever seen more than 10 people there at one time, and I live across the street. During the summer they blast their music entirely too loud, and I think that scares people away. Personally, I wouldn’t walk into an empty bar with cranked music like a dance club. I’ve been inside once, on a Saturday night. I think there were 2 other groups of people there. The drinks are unimpressive, the patrons are unattractive. Overall, Patio Grill is a FAIL

This place has a GREAT view of McKinney Avenue(for people watching) and good music! It was a little hot outside, but I guess that is beyond their control. The burgers and wings were excellent, and so are the drink specials. This place ROCKS!

They have great specials on monday. The queso is so good, mainly because they have amazing chips. Pretty much everything I have had is good. Nice place to watch TV outside. The bartender is very awesome too and has given us some free shots a few times. There is buck hunter so my boyfriend is always happy here. They use to have some really awesome chairs, but then they got bar height furniture and it just isn’t as comfortable.

Usually on game days, this place is ridiculously packed and loud, so i’ve always avoided it. But my friend had a going away party here on a Thursday night, so i had a chance to check it out. The patio is definitely nice, especially if it’s not crowded, and you can have all the space you want. The service was pretty good and the glasses of wine(and shots of tequila) were generous. Nevertheless, after all this drinking, I needed a snack and the seasoned waffle fries were EXCELLENT. Oh — one probably not key piece of information — if you order a shot with a cheesy name, the bartender may not know how to make it. This happened when someone from my group ordered a B52 shot. It’s also a great place to people watch and see all the obnoxious sports cars that like to rev up and down Mckinney Ave. This place doesn’t have much ambience, but it’s a good place for a group of friends to hang out.

Pretty nice patio! Stopped by to watch the final game in the Spurs/Mavs series. The would be tv closest to our table was broken off sadly, so my seat was not optimal in any type of viewing pleasure. I did love the chairs though. Iron patio furniture, they rocked, and rock I did. Our server made his rounds frequently and was pretty quick about it. They had the game up on a huge projector and although it was the opposite end for us, the patrons here were laid back enough to sit and chill to watch the game. We did ask a few guys that got excited and stood to return to their butts and they happily did. Thanks! I only had bottled beer so I can’t speak to their pours, but a few people at the table enjoyed their margaritas. I was also informed that after I left, there was a round of free shots dropped off. Missed out, sad. Pretty chill place, enjoy the patio quick before it gets too steamy out there!

We went to this bar just because it was right in front of my friend’s place and we were a little too buzzing to drive at this point. :) So I cannot write about parking situation… The place was traditional American grill/bar with traditional bar crowds. Service was decent even when it got somewhat busy, bar food was decent, and drinks were decent. Just like any other not-so-special bar drinks, drinks were not so stiff. I don’t think the place is meant to be a dance club or anything, but the crowds that night were chill and there was some dancing near our table. I would recommend this place if you just want to hang out with your friends and do not want to be bothered by pretentious people. It was a cool neighborhood bar.

Did we miss the memo? We came here Friday night and the place was nearly empty. After about an hour my party were the only people there? What gives? The location is good. Nice Patio, big TV’s, space heaters and one random set of life-size Jenga. Barcadia called, they want their idea back. There were no other bar games. Menu looked decent– typical bar food. My BF and his brother shared a pizza. It was tiny and paper thin. One major complaint: they only serve one type of red wine. Want some wine? Here are your options. Cabernet. And don’t even think of asking if you can buy a bottle, the answer is no. So instead, I drank a bottles worth and paid $ 28 for it. Awesome. I mean it’s a large patio, there are drinks and TV, but this place is not special. I would have given it 2 starts but I bumped it up to 3 because it was not crowded(and the 2 bars we went after were ridiculous), and at one point«Night Moves» by Bob Seger came on the jukebox. And for once, I was not the person playing it on repeat… for that and that alone, we’re cool.

The Patio Grill. One would assume that there is a patio and one would assume there is a grill. Well, they got the patio part right. And I will admit it’s a damn good patio. But whether or not there is a grill is still up in the air for me. For starters, arriving at noon on a Saturday the first thing that I noticed is that they offered Self-Parking for $ 5! Self-Park, not Valet. You’ve got to be kidding me! I’ve had it up to here with the parking in Dallas! If I hadn’t agreed to meet friends here, I would have left and gone somewhere that provides free parking for its patrons. After driving around aimlessly for parking, my friends and I were finally able to grab a seat on the patio. It was an amazingly beautiful November day! Football was on the TVs; though I’m not sure this would be the ideal place for watching a game. It was a good while before we were able to order drinks as the service was terrible. I think the owner must’ve gathered all the strippers he knows and asked them to come to work there. This was seriously the worst service I’ve had in awhile! They probably would’ve made more money off of us ordering drinks had the waitress not spent the majority of the time inside texting on her phone.(Yes, we could see you!) My burger I ordered medium rare came out well done. When I asked if it were cooked medium rare the server told me, «I don’t know; I didn’t cook it» as if I was burdening him! I decided not to say anything to the waitress because I knew it would be half an hour before she just happened to walk past our table again. To top it all off, when my credit card wouldn’t swipe at the end of the meal, I gave a waitress another card which she so kindly put the entire tab on despite us having given her the breakdown for each card. After I made her correct her mistake she brings only my receipt to sign, leaving all the others at the register. When we ask where they are she grabs the stack of receipts off the register and hands us the pile as if we should separate them and distribute them ourselves. Wow, I’ve never experienced this! Needless to say, home girl didn’t get an extra dime from me!

Last night after dinner at Lumi, BF and I were faced with the age old question: to go out and have drinks, or be good and go home. It was 9pm. I want some drinks, dammit! We walked next door to The Patio Grill to see what it was all about. The patio area is really neat — they poured a huge stamped concrete area and erected a bunch of wood beams that looks to be the start of some sort of patio cover. There were only 4 or so tables taken, and the patio seating is über comfortable — nice, big glass tables surrounded by 4 chairs at each. The kind that lean back and you can settle in to. Score! The only drawback to this I can see is if you have a large group, combining tables is going to be a little difficult; and they’re so big, they’re really not maximizing their patio space. I noticed quite a few bikers coming in and out with their loud-ass bikes, which they parked right out front. They’re also dog-friendly: we brought Shadow, our lab, and there was a Great Dane at another table. The GM came by to introduce himself and said that he is going to have ceramic dog bowls made with their logo in the future to keep pups hydrated. Service was really attentive. I had an ice pick, and Kim(our server) offered a flavored vodka so I took it… way to slide in that upsell! BF had Jameson and soda, and both of our drinks were poured nicely. Music is controlled by a jukebox, and I heard everything from Amy Winehouse to Michael Jackson to Neil Diamond. I overheard another server telling a table that this past weekend, they put up a 100″ screen with a projector outside for the games. Unfortunately they didn’t account for the sun though, so their next plans are to put slats overhead and install a retractable patio cover. The way she said it made it seem more like gossip, but it would be cool if they actually did! If you want to give this place a shot, I suggest doing so now. I give it a month before you won’t be able to find a seat on the patio. Yay for another great patio bar!

The new bar/grill(finally) opened last weekend next to Lumi’s. We grabbed a few beers there Saturday night and watched the college football games. Fairly small inside but great if you want to just grab a drink, watch some TV on the big screens or just meet up with friends. Bartenders and wait staff were fun and they seemed to have it together for opening weekend. Crowd was pretty young but there was also a table or two of people like us who are old enough to have raised some of the youngest patrons in the bar. We didn’t try food this time but we will definitely keep The Patio on our short list for quick food and beers whenever we are walking along McKinney in Uptown.
