When have I not said oui oui to macarons? I didn’t expect much from this place when they first opened. Their location didn’t help them when they first took over the empty Burger King spot. It didn’t suit their cutesy bakery theme, and it was too large of a space. It felt a little desolate walking through the former fast food chain just to get to the counter. But now their new location in the mall looks bright and attractive. I wasn’t expecting the best macaron, but for $ 1.75, I still wanted to give it a try. They looked bigger than the average macaron. The cookie shells were okay, but could have been more airy. I looked past that, since most macarons made here rarely achieve that irresistibly light, almost flaky shell. Most of the flavor came from the cream filling, which was nice and sweet. The second time I tried the Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch. I mostly detected a chocolate flavor from the filling with some chopped hazelnuts embedded into the cookie shells. It was okay, not exceptional. I still returned a third time and tried one of their ice cream sandwiches for $ 5. I was curious because I had never tried a macaron ice cream sandwich before. At the time, they didn’t have many flavors, so I chose the Vanilla Sprinkles cookie shell. I didn’t know how to eat it like a sandwich since it was rather thick. I always have trouble with ice cream sandwiches, because all the ice cream oozes out when you bite into it. So I ended up just eating the ice cream and macaron shells separately. The ice cream tasted like average store-bought ice cream. The cookie shells hardened a bit from the cold temperature and became too chewy. It’s not close to the satisfying macarons I have had in the past. Here, the quality is average compared to the rest of the pack churning out macarons to accommodate the macaron trend.

These macarons are consistently bland. You pick a flavor like red velvet or lemon and it DOESNOT taste like it. They are sweet but flavor and texture of their product SUCK! F+

Unfortunately, my macaron ice cream sandwich looked nothing like the pictures by the store. The sandwich was not refrigerate properly. It was a bit melty when I got it. I was disappointed by thin layer of ice cream. The macaron was soft to the touch. So messy! For $ 5, not quite what I was expecting.

Decent but not something I would go back regularly for. I say regularly bc I love Mac ice cream sandwiches! I had the Thai tea Mac ice cream sandwich. After half way it was beyond sweet! Couldn’t finish it.

finally been a year and it’s time for me to update my review about the place. i still feel the same way about oui oui macarons and not only that — there’s so many different flavors to choose from. the packaging boxes are so cute along with the place as well and improved a lot from a year ago! handmade from san francisco. it’s expanded to a point where there’s new flavors from cookie butter and earl gray. they have a various ones from the fruity, sweet like chocolate and tea flavors as well. the color coordination of the macarons are well organized too, random but it really does please my aesthetic vision when i saw it. hah. sad part is, some macarons are too well designed or adorable to eat. it’s impossible to bite into it without pouting for a second and realizing you won’t see the sprinkles on the outer layer or maybe the hint of petals they leave on the side. it’s beautifully done. there’s also ice cream macaron(even churro) sandwiches. a friend of mine actually had one, informed me that it’s perfect when purchasing a few minutes later since the ice cream is quite hard. but when it’s melted a bit to where you can bite into it the ice cream is rich, flavor is evident and it’s become a sweet little delectable treat to have. one — 1.75 half a dozen — 11 $ a dozen — 22 $ 24 — 42 $ ice cream macarons — 5 $ (a dozen /24 are just a guesstimate since i ordered half a dozen last time i was there. but it’s still reasonable price for the macarons.) will come back to try more flavors!

Delicious and addicting! My son gifted me a box of red velvet and toasted almond for Mother’s Day! Thank you, mommy loves them.

Their macaroon ice cream sandwiches are pre-made so you can’t customize what you want. My favorite is the strawberry ice cream sandwich. I also like the thai iced tea flavor. The assam milk tea is strong and really tastes like your Tuesday boba. They tend to sell out of popular items, and that’s too bad as many times it will be what you want. It really does the trick to satisfy my sweet tooth at the Serramonte mall. Though, I can’t help to feel guilty indulging in front of the Crunch fitness center and Dick’s sporting goods. Oh, well.

I love this little gem in the mall! It’s so perfect! Their macaron ice sandwich is the best. I’ve heard their vanilla bean macaron sandwich is the best, but they’re always sold out by the time I get there. I ordered their chocolate macaroon sandwich and it was delicious and soft. I was afraid it would be really cold and hard to bite, but it was actually soft and sweet. Definitely recommend others to go here to also try their macarons. We ordered a few and we love the nutella flavors. Also, their box design is super cute. Will make another stop here when I go back to this mall

Stumbled upon Oui Oui! Macarons two weeks ago after doing a little shopping in the mall. The ambiance of the store was very appealing and was what ultimately drew me in the store. I bought six macarons: thai tea, green tea, earl grey, lychee, rose, and peach. $ 11 for six reasonable but I read some reviews before posting mine and saw that they do $ 1 macarons on Fridays so I must come back on a Friday(lol). My boyfriend got the green tea ice cream macaron sandwich. He liked it a lot although it was super frozen so he had to wait a few minutes before he could bite into the ice cream. For the price, it was a fairly large ice cream macaron. Reminded me a lot of Milk in LA. I also really liked their macaron boxes. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back often except I live in the East Bay and it’s quite a far drive. My macarons were crunchy and soft and was perfect. Not sure why others complained that it wasn’t. I even came right before they were about to close. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

My go to spot for macarons. I really like their variety of flavors and they always add new flavors. The pricing for the macarons is pretty average $ 11 for 6. Their macaron ice cream sandwiches are also good. Although one time the shell was really flaky and just broke apart easily but normally it’s fine. They run out of flavors really early though. They used to have the Friday specials where one flavor of the macarons are $ 1. But they said they might not have that for a while. They do have an Instagram where they do give update on the flavors though.

They’ve got a sufficient variety: guava, passion fruit vanilla bean, toasted coconut, strawberry passion, lychee, black currant, Thai tea, rose, and sell in boxes of 6, 12, and 24. I couldn’t get a box with three, so I went ahead and bought 6 for ~$ 11 – 12. Not bad. We’ll see what the birthday girl thinks of the unique flavors I picked out for her! Otherwise, I’d be so tempted to bite off a piece from each of them. Place looks like a sugarland fairytale. Clean and whimsical.

Was shopping in the mall and decided to grab a sweet little something to nibble on so I came to oui oui. I think this new shop is definitely way better then their old location which was the old Burger King, a space that was WAY too huge for a macaron shop. Sad to say, but I was let down by the macarons. They were dry in texture and not fluffy and moist as I imagined they would have been.(I was craving some Ketsourine caramel fleur de sel flavor macarons at the time I came here). The flavors were just way too sweet for my liking. The macarons were not up to par; I don’t know if they were old or over baked but they seemed somewhat stale. Definitely not worth paying the $ 11 for half a dozen small bites. I don’t like to give low ratings on reviews but it’s all with good intentions. Hopefully the next time I’ll be back the macarons will have improved! Keeping my fingers crossed.

I’ve always made my own macs from scratch and experimented with different flavors. Not that I’m a pro or anything, just your average amateur baker! I understand the technicality and time that goes into these cute little sweets. But, I recently started trying french macs from specialty stores just to compare and contrast texture and flavor. And this was my second stop. AMBIANCE: Adorable and totally fitting for a french mac store. Cute décor and labels. Interior is quite small with only 2 tables for seating, but most people grab and go. FOOD: Their macs run for $ 1.75ea and $ 11⁄6 which is cheaper than most. Which means you get what you pay for. It was obvious from the color of their macs that most of them are artificially colored and from the taste of the ones I bought, all the shells were unflavored except for the thai tea mac. The cream on the inside is what gave each mac their flavor. In my opinion, flavoring the shell would definitely enhance their french macs. Overall, they were all good, but no flavor really wowed me. But I do love the boxes they come with :) They also offer ice cream macs for $ 5 which is average price. Their ice cream macs are pretty good, but again, all the flavoring is all in the ice cream. If you’ve tried ice cream macs from Ginger Elizabeth(in Sac), Milk(in LA) or Van’s Bakery(in SJ) you will know understand the difference between a ice cream mac with a flavored shell and an unflavored one — makes all the difference! Overall, I will back to satisfy a ice cream mac craving when I’m in the area!

This is a small shop in Serramonte mall that sells and specializes in French macarons. They have a wide variety of flavors, such as rose, guava, pistachio, green tea and also basic flavors like raspberry and chocolate. The price isn’t to bad. $ 11 for 6 and $ 21 for a dozen. My only complaint is that some were overly sweet and I had one that didn’t have a crunch to it, it rather was hard to bite into a tad stale. Probably because it’s been out all day, I don’t know. But it was still good nonetheless. Therefore minus 1 star. Overall this spot is convenient to grab some tastey French macarons when in the area and don’t want to go find the nearest Cocola. Definitely a spot to try. Maybe I’ll just get one of each flavor next time and review their flavors individually.

I really love going here. Their macaroons are amazing. Rickys customer is beyond amazing. Whenever I go here he helps me choose flavors since I’m very indecisive in what I want, plus he recommends to try new flavors.

I came in 10 minutes before closing time because I was craving me some macarons. I’ve had some macarons from here before but I’ve not been inside myself. First impression: The cutesy decors make it look like a quaint French patisserie. It definitely has an inviting feel. Not too many tables inside to hangout though. Service: The girl working there was super nice!(Shout out to Michelle! :) She was very attentive to what I liked and recommended some great flavors. She she was also fast and efficient. Macarons: My friend and I got a variety of flavors so we can taste more. The ones worth trying are: coffee, coconut, thai tea, lychee, and pistachio. The macarons kinda varied. Some were softer and some had more chew, which I kinda prefer. The flavors were on point. Yum. Verdict: I like it! I can definitely see myself coming here for more. The macarons are good and the service was fabulous! Too bad they don’t sell lattes or other specialty drinks because that would bring in more people for sure. All in all l was quite impressed. I recommend that you come in for a quick visit and try it for yourself!

$ 5 for Thai Tea Ice Cream Sandwich? YAY! It tasted so good and I didn’t even have to wait for it to be made because it was already made, stored in the freezer. ALSO every Friday they have a certain macaron flavor for $ 1, for example this Friday it was pumpkin. Definitely should give this place a try if your craving some sweetness. THANKYOUFORAWESOMEDECORATIONSAND good customer service.

So oui oui macarons got relocated to a smaller much more suitable area in the mall. I think they have around 22 or 23 different flavors and ice cream macarons. I think they have more flavors than what they used to have at their old location. I always pay Oui Oui Macaron a visit when I’m in the area.

My favorite treat by far when I’m in SF, these macarons have the perfect texture and sweetness for me. I compare all other macarons to these by default. The ice cream sandwiches are big enough for me to share with another person and I love the ice cream they use. I’m probably the only person on the planet that doesn’t like their rose macarons, that’s just a personal bias against all flowery flavors. But I love everything else I’ve tried, and I appreciate that they have flavors like lychee, mango, and kalamansi. It’s a lot nicer now that they’re not located in an old BK. The people that work there(at least every time I’ve visited) are pretty cute too ;D
