Love this spot. Super chill, friendly bartenders. Nintendo. Great food too! They recently renovated– more seating, added more taps. More taps, more options for fresh beer.

Had a very pleasant first visit to the Mack House. I arrived right as it opened on a Saturday afternoon and sat at the bar. By the time I departed a few hours later, the place was fully packed. It has a really good local bar feel to it. I enjoyed my visit. They had deals on any South Florida micro brews, and so I selected Copperpoint, Barrel of Monks and MIA brews that I like. Had a nice conversation with Kyle, one of the managers, who provided background on the place’s history. Impressed with his golf knowledge, too. Friendly individual. It turns out that they were not brewing any in-house concoctions, but this place has several good guest brews on tap. I also sampled a couple of food items — a pretzel with beer cheese as well as grilled cheese with a tomato. Both were pretty good. I was discussing sports and microbrews with some friendly regulars. Again, these places lend themselves to this kind of interaction. I like this place, and look forward to returning

I can’t believe I’ve never submitted a review for Mack House. I’ve probably been here 20 times during the past year alone(does that make me a regular?), and each time is a relaxing, enjoyable time. I keep coming back here, so I obviously like it a lot. Mack House feels like it should be your favorite neighborhood bar. Friendly folks, friendly bartenders, casual comfy atmosphere and a large variety of reasonably priced craft beers on tap and in bottles. It’s kind of dark inside, but I find it goes well with the beer and Kung fu movies usually playing silently on the tvs. Mack House is a great craft beer option in the Davie-Plantation area. Give it a try! I think you’ll find yourself stopping in unexpectedly over and over again.

Had to check out The Mack House after BustDay because I tried all of the samples they had at the event and liked every single one of them! The only mistake I made though was ordering this Brazilian quadruppel ale which I didn’t like so much. I’m Brazilian so that’s the only reason why I ordered it and also because the name of the beer was Belo Ipê and the city I’m from is called Belo Horizonte! Anyway, their set up is pretty cool and I really like the chalkboard beer menu on the wall which had A LOT of beers to choose from. Even with that huge selection I picked the wrong beer! If you’re not a fan of ales, I do not recommend it, it was too much for me. Oh well, now I have a reason so go back there, just to check out other different kinds they have. Me and my two friends had a lot of fun sitting at the bar, the bartenders were both very nice and welcoming and the guys at the BurstDay event were very cool too, one of the reasons why we decided to check it out right after the event.

Down to earth little joint where people just love their craft beer. Not good for a large party, however, as the place is tiny. There is room enough for a couple of couches by the front. These couches are usually occupied by those playing old school video games on the old school tv lol. Another noticeable feature of this brewery is the lighting… there is none! Perhaps the darkness is to assist the latter beer goggles for a date night. Haha jk of course. The Mack House is in the Pine Island Shopping Center nestled between several other businesses. I swear breweries pop up in unusual places. Overall, The Mack House is a nice place to grab a drink after work and mingle with locals…

Stopped by on a Friday night and had no trouble getting a table or a beer. Pretty good variety and selection of beers. I was just little confused about the«drink local» vibe when so many beers were from out of state. They have a happy hour where you get $ 2 off Florida beers. Beer glass was warm, big pet peeve of mine, but beer was still delicious. This place is immaculately clean, that was a big plus. Loved the old school Nintendo and couches set up. Felt like we were in a friends basement/living room. Crowd was kind of weird, but much better than having a rowdy group. Music wasn’t loud, so it was easy to hold a conversation. Will stop by again when we are in the area. Hopefully the beer selection lives up to the drink local vibe next time.

Couldn’t find many places like this when visiting Miami, which makes it a nice little hidden addition for the brew enthusiast around the area. Most definitely heading back if I find myself wondering down south. A really diverse selection that’d satisfy most palates.

Wow! The Mack House is awesome! I’m so lucky to have come across this little hidden gem! I’ve only been twice and I love this place! It’s a small, cozy, chill vibe in here with great people, awesome staff who are very knowledgeable about their large selection of craft brews. They do have the pretzel… I haven’t got around to trying it yet, but from what I’ve seen and heard it is glorious! Another awesome feature about this spot is they have a N64 set up to play and hang out while enjoying your drinks. If you’re looking for a chill night out with friends, or trying your luck at Mario Kart I definitely recommend coming out to The Mack House.

This is my first time at The Mack House and it is a really cool laid-back spot, especially for after work. It has a huge variety of local, US and INT’L brews to choose from. The bartender was quick to offer samples of the brews if you weren’t sure about what to choose. It’s not stuffy or uptight, they even have an awesome worn in couch that has a PlayStation with several controllers for the customers to enjoy. Happy hour is M-F with $ 2 off Florida drafts. They also cut out the middle man and provide their wifi password on the chalkboard menu to avoid the age old question«what’s the wifi password?» I would’ve given five stars but I left it at four. Reason being that there are only two food options. Pretzels or chips and salsa. So if your hungry definitely plan to go some where else after your visit. I noticed that there were many events listed on their monthly calendar so I’ll be sure to make another visit. All in all, a nice place to chill, hang and have good conversation with company. A definite new spot!

I’ve been to the Mack House several times before writing my review. It has a very«locals» bar feel but they’re so nice and welcoming to everyone that walks in their doors. I didn’t know what a nano brewery was before I came here actually. I love that they make a lot of favorites their own and they also have an amazing selection of craft beer. The first time I came in there were so many options that I didn’t know what to order. The bartender asked me what kind of beer I liked. When I told him really hoppy IPA’s he didn’t hesitate to pick out the perfect brew. He chose a Victory DirtWolf IPA which is now one of my favorites. They have a really cool couch section when you walk in that has an old school TV with vintage Nintendo games. Their outside seating area looks really nice whenever it’s not 1,000 degrees outside. The Mack House is a very cool little place, I highly recommend a stop in for a good cold beer. Their motto should be «no frills, just beer»! #DRINKLOCAL

I went to Mack House after hearing many of my friends rave about their beer selections. I went with a group of four on a Friday night. From the moment we walked in, everything was great! They have their own brews(all of which looked awesome) but I was excited to see one of my tried and true favorites(Bell’s Oarsman Ale) on draft. On top of the beers, we also ordered the meatballs and chips and salsa — both were delicious. Best of all, everything was really reasonably priced, especially the beers. They had a ton of board games behind the bar as well as Nintendo consoles and tvs. While my group didn’t use any of these, it was cool to see those options available. On top of that, service was great. The bartenders periodically came by the table to make sure we were doing okay. I thought that was nice, considering how busy they were. It’s nice to know this place is a(closer, less expensive) option if you want an enjoyable experience without having to go all the way to Ft. Lauderdale or Miami.

8÷2÷2015 — So glad to have this place 5 minutes from my house. We came here on Sunday before we were about to catch a movie. They open at 4pm on Sundays. We were seating outside waiting for it to open and so were 6 other people. This place is pretty popular with the locals. #DrinkLikeALocal They have tables outside but since it was muggy out we decided to go in. They have some tables and a couch with an old school TV and Nintendo! Chalk paint on the walls so they can easily write all the beers they offer. At the far right side is their cozy bar. That’s where everyone seemed to want to be. I ordered Monk in The Trunk. We were only able to grab one beer but this spot is definitely one I want to come back to. They have bar bites and my favorite bags of chips. Lots of craft beer on tap, bottles and cans. Would love to come here and listen to some live music. I didn’t see any upcoming events but I hope they have some. Also, would be great if they played some music on the speakers, it was pretty quiet in there.

Like a lot of great places in South Florida, Mack House is tucked away in a strip mall. A great local bar away from the touristy areas, the Mack House is a really chill place to drink a pint and hang out. I don’t get down there often(it’s a little far from Coconut Creek), but definitely worth it if you’re in the area. The most important thing about Mack House is they brew their own beer. Everything is small batched so it’s nice and fresh when you get it. They also have other local craft beers, and the bartenders know their stuff and what to recommend. The whole environment is extremely chill. Last time I went there the patio was unfortunately off limits for drinks(not sure why this is, but know they are working on fixing it), but you still have couches and plenty of lounge space. As some others have mentioned they have games you can play with your friends, including an NES. There’s also some card and board games. Depending on the crowd there you can sometimes get larger games going and meet new people. Last time I was there was right after work so it was a little quiet, but if you wait until later it picks up quite a bit. Definitely not your typical South Florida bar and a welcome break from the typical scene. Recommended!

Ducked in to attend a Relay for Life event in conjunction with the Davie Cooper City Chamber and it was a fine time, here’s why: * Warm pretzel with homemade beer cheese-SCORE! * The single outside table fills fast so come early * Slightly spicy Meatballs YUMMO! Homemade. 10 for like $ 8 bucks. * Big selection of beers! * Vintage video games were jammed up and in use the whole time. They should set up another one of those. Maybe a stand up game station? Lots of crafty micro nanny beers to choose from, but I am disappointed because I wanted to try the coffee one that everyone is abuzz over. They were out of that one so I shall return. Still a fine time. Cabeza OUT!

Its surprising that a small place like Mack House actually brews their own beer!!! The banana bread beer is awesome. I feel in love with it on the first sip and its the only beer I ordered. Love the cheese dip for the pretzel appetizer. Great hangout spot for an after work drink and even has a area for playing the old school video games with couches around the tv.

Wow! What a great find! This quaint establishment is the bomb. I am a newbie to the craft beer world and am always intimidated when visiting a craft beer establishment. First of all, let’s face it. If there’s more than a few menu choices, I’m stupified! Not here! You just belly up to the bar and the friendly, knowledgeable staff is right there to assist you with your choice. One of the really cool things about this place is that the owners like to support local business by infusing their brews with locally grown fruits and coffee. Kuddos to that! I’m a fan of supporting local businesses! They also brew in small batches so you always have something new to try. It was suggested that I try the Pablo con Loco which is a coffee infused beer made with coffee grown locally. It is delicious! Big fan! I also tried Panic Attack which was a bit strong for me but good. Don’t forget they also have Holey Mackerel which is their own brand. I also enjoyed their own special cheese that is actually made with one of their brews. It comes with a warm preztel and was so good it lasted only a minute. We were fighting over it. Same goes for the meatballs. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great décor and warm atmosphere. Casual. Check out the vintage tv and video games! Brings you right back to childhood. Definitely will be a regular!

Thanks to everyone planning this after party after an amazing Elite event. This bar is a hidden treasure filled with some great craft beer to choose from. It’s not very big once inside but quite comfortable at the bar and some long tables towards the front. The décor is typical of a dive bar. The bartenders are super friendly and give quick great service. They can handle crowds quite well. They offer some great craft beers to choose from. It is a great place to chill with friends. The night we came we didn’t stay to long because some of our friends really wanted spirits and they only offer beer, no liquor. I enjoy a fun casual bar that caters to beer drinkers. Prices are reasonable. Great neighborhood bar that I look forward to checking out more.

If you love beer, you love the chill cool place and no jerk for real scene. Well you find your place Mack House, this is a nano brewery that pours gems into a pint, and host some of the best local beers in town, with a nice rare beer here and there. Decorated with simplicity, what makes this place original is the Nintendo Console and their small batches of beer. What is so good about that? Well that means you always get fresh brew, no some other places where they have a wide selection and their rotation is not as fas at the Mack house, so basically here you are always drinking fresh beer, I can do that all day long lol. You are hungry? Grab a pretzel with a IPA cheese dip, creamy, cheese and hoppy whaaat yes I said hoppy, you can really taste the bitters of the hops in the dip. I wish the best to these guys, although I don’t think they need it. What are you waiting for if you are done reading this review go the Mack House and grab a brew!!!

I think this is a wonderful local pub. We came here after our anniversary dinner to got a couple of beers. Inside the pub is not very big, a bar with a few stools, a few bar tables, but there is a living room sofa with video games in the front. I think they rotate beers very often because they list all the beers available on a chalkboards. But that’s a good because you get to try a variety of beers all the time. They brew their own beers on site but they also do serve a few other local beers. I had the Downpour IPA and it was pretty good. I had a few other beers and they were pretty good too. I like support local business and this is just another one of those business I’d like to brace. The staff was very friendly explaining different kinds of beers. And especially I like beers… why not!
