Comfy place, and good food. Bang bang shrimp is a must, if you haven’t had Bang Bang Shrimp, you’re not done eating yet. There was a stuffed shrimp I tried but I can’t recall its name now, ask the server about it as weel because you don’t want to miss that as well. I read that the Imperial Salmon is good, but when I tried it, it was dry.

My wife had never been to a Bonefish Grill so yesterday we decided to stop here on our way home from Nashville. The restaurant was surprisingly not very busy for a Sunday afternoon which usually is not a very good sign. Guess what my wife ordered? If you are familiar with my posts here the answer is usually SALMON. She found it excellent. I ordered something very different trying the crab stuffed wolfish which I had never heard of before… Suffice to say that both entrees were excellent. Sides were also prepared perfectly and the service was exceptional… We will return…

Simply amazing. Went for the first time tonight after(much prodding from my wife) with some friends. We tried the bang bang shrimp as it was highly recommended by our server, the manager, and the entire Unilocal community. The shrimp was very very good(after a week long vacation in New Orleans I thought I had enough shrimp and seafood, I was wrong) we all had the same dinner as it was a special and again recommended by the manager, crusted wolf fish with garlic mashed and a salad. The wolf fish was a first for all of us but we all agree it was the highlight of the meal and was perfection. The garlic mashed was very good with the right amount of garlic to compliment the butter and lemon on the fish. What is not mentioned much on Unilocal and not offered in many establishments is the spaghetti squash which comes Nicky paired as the seasonal vegetable on this dish. I chose to use the crab from the top of my wolf fish as a texture and flavor additive to the squash and was very pleased. Please if you are a seafood or burger lover(yes burgers at a fish place) please try this location. You won’t be disappointed.

I needed a place for birthday party for my wife. Bonefish gave me reservations for 15 at 7:00 pm on Friday. The food was excellent, the service was even better. Everyone in the party raved about both. I had fears about Bonefish being to pull off this size party but they exceeded my expectations. A great night.

Let me start off by saying I am not a seafood person. I can eat certain kinds but im not crazy about it. I visited bonefish with my husband for the first time last night and i was very happy with our experience. Its kid friendly… they offer crayons and nice coloring books. The table can even be drawn on. The waitress was excellent and expected our needs before we had to ask. The food: The Bang Bang shrimp was AMAZING! It really isn’t much to look at but the flavor!!! Its a perfect amount of crispy outside texture and pops in your mouth! I dont think they are breaded. They have an amazing sweet tangy and spicy sauce that is perfect. I could of made a meal out of them. The bread that comes with the meal is not impressionable and was a disappointment. It was too hard and the flavor of the oil was lacking. I ordered the cold water lobster tail a salad and mash potatoes. The salad was good. The lobster very good but i was disappointed with the small size. The mash potatoes were DISGUSTING. It was an overwhelming garlic flavor that made them inedible. The coconut pie was also good i got it to go home and ate it later. I didnt overindulge the shrimp and left it to my husband. A mistake i regret considering the extremely small portion of lobster and lack of a side. I unfortunately left still kind of hungry. My husband ordered the lamb chops which were pretty on his plate. They were good but not exceptional or enough to draw us back. I rated 4 stars simply because of the AMAZING Bang Bang Shrimp great service and the friendly attitude and accommodations for the kids.

We were there on a Saturday night around 5:00. No problem getting a seat. I had ribeye with a lobster tail, My wife had the filet mignon. Both of our dinners were cooked perfectly and on the table in 15 minutes. The manager checked on us after we were finished and the plates had been removed. He named exactly what we had to eat.

Came here with parents and had nice enough weather to enjoy the patio seating. Our server(like all Bonefish servers) was wearing a white chef’s coat, but it had big orange stains all over it. Not appealing to look at when you’re ready to enjoy a nice dinner. She also had a rose pinned to her lapel, which was clearly dead and wilting. She was helpful in the menu selection, but after that, the service was SO slow and we had to ask for everything — bread, refills on waters, etc. Everyone enjoyed their meals, but the consensus was that each entrée was just OK. I’m glad we were able to eat outside because the restaurant inside was freezing cold and very dark. I would only come back here if my parents took me out again.

My husband and I have had some great meals at Bonefish in years past, but on our most recent visit we were very disappointed the food quality has gone down severely. Like, everything was prepared just like Red Lobster and I’m certain they’ve changed chefs or just started buying cheap food and using poor service tactics. Our service really wasn’t great either, my drink was wrong and our waitress left us for like 15 mins before taking our order. My husband ordered the Chilean Sea Bass with a house salad, I ordered shrimp and scallops with lime tomato sauce and a Caesar salad and our child got a cheeseburger. BFG gets 2 stars for the salads which are still delicious. Served on a chilled plate, generous portions and delicious flavors. My meal was a disaster, the tiny scallops were overcooked and smeared with pesto which I didn’t order. The shrimp were also covered in pesto and sat on top of the scallops, making them all a watery, rubbery mess. The meal is served with«seasonal veggies and a choice of one side» so I asked about the veggie and the waitress told me it was cous cous, which isn’t a veggie but a grain. I think seafood with cous cous AND potatoes is a bit of a carb-load. We decided to switch from cous cous to broccoli. The broccoli was 100% mushy and microwaves and topped with an extraordinarily salty coating. I love broccoli and I hated this. The potatoes au gratin were scooped from a large spoon(think lunch lady style) and room temperature. At one point, our toddler spilled her water all over the table. The waitress came over and looked at it, mentioned it and didn’t bring any napkins or attempt to clean it up. The the manager came over asking«is everything wonderful?!» The walked away without seeing an enormous mess on the table. Then she brought over our bill without offering dessert. Since we were celebrating, we ordered the macadamia nut brownie. It was completely tasteless and microwaved to a searing hot, just molten hot sugar flavor and bland ice cream. Bonefish had been one of my favorite chain restaurants but we will not be coming back.

Great food and great service. I had the chillean sea bass with couscous and wow I was in heaven. Light fish that hit the spot. Also fantastic bread. Ate whole thing by myself. Price is just right for what u get. Love this place.

What a disappointment. I have been here previously and still remember those wonderful meals. This time, well the bread was good. We shared an appetizer, stuffed shrimp, shrimp small and overcooked to the point of being rubbery. I had the mahi mahi, also overcooked, had to use a knife to cut through the hardened bottom of the fish. My husband had stuffed tilapia, presentation poor, looked like it was just slapped on the plate and he had to use knife to cut. Couscous was the winter vegetable served with entrée but was cooled down. I wonder where in the world cous cous became a vegetable. We both ordered broccoli steamed perfectly but unevenly salted. Really folks, this was awful, canned tuna would have been better. The portions have been sized down, which is not a bad idea, but the quality needs to go way up.

When my husband and I come to Dayton we make a beeline for Bonefish! Always great service and food! This trip we took my youngest granddaughter for her sweet 16. The manager gave her a box of chocolates. So sweet

First let me say the service was fantastic. The problem was the ½ KOBE Burger with egg on the brioche bun. I ask for my burger to be cooked medium and my egg to be cooked over easy. What I received was a burger cooked well and my egg was sunny side up and over cooked. The worst part was the bun. The bun was so hard on the bottom I couldn’t cut it with the table knife. I can’t believe anyone in the kitchen didn’t notice the stale bun!!! Normally I would have sent this garbage back to the kitchen, but I was trying to enjoy a meal with my wife. I didn’t want to set and wait for my meal while my wife ate hers and then have her set and watch me eat. This isn’t fine dining!!! When I spend $ 13.10 for a burger and fries I expect nothing but the best.

I had a pretty miserable experience two days before at another BFG in west Chester so I thought I’d give this one another shot Sunday brunch. My wife’s sting ray punches er, I mean scallops were overcooked as were my muscles. Both rubbery and dreadful. Seems like the best dishes of the day were the mayonnaise soaked shrimp and the hamburgers. This was a family gathering at my wife’s request. This signals the absolutely last time I spend money at a bonefish grill. The only positive note about this or the previous visit was the staff. Your servers are still outstanding but that doesn’t make up for your red lobster like quality. For shame.

This was our first time visiting the Bonefish Grill and our group of three picky eaters with moderately high standards agree that this experience was amazing especially for a franchise restaurant. We had a reservation for 17:00 and arrived 30 minutes early. It wasn’t busy yet so we were seated immediately. One of our group is a disabled man in an electric wheelchair and the staff were very accommodating and respectful – some places we go the staff and servers won’t engage him I guess because they think he can’t speak or something, but everyone was engaging, kind, and treated him just like they treated the rest of us. This gets a 0.5 Star bonus. Our server’s name was Daemon and he was amazing. He could easily be a server in a much more upscale restaurant and fit right in. The only flaw in his service was a very minor one not worthy of a loss of stars – a reach across the table, but it was only because the aisle was blocked and he really wanted us all to have our drinks refilled promptly. he even apologised for the reach as he did it. Also, the disabled man in our group is the reason we were there as it was his birthday so Daemon provided him with a complimentary dessert and chocolates. Daemon, if you’re reading this, thank you. You are amazing. Service was 5 stars! One minor odd thing about this place is that they cover the tables with a tablecloth and then place a piece of brown paper over the table. It gives it kind of a cheap feel, but we agreed it’s pretty genius for making turnover faster so we see why they do it. It would be nice though if they were to upgrade the tablecloths, not cover the tables in paper, and use real candles on the table instead of the battery-operated flameless candles. This would provide a classier ambiance.(–0.25 Stars) Now for the most important part of the review – food. We ordered two appetizers: Wagyu Beef and Ginger Pot Stickers, and NY Strip Tataki with a hot mustard and soy sauce. Both of these appetizers were phenomenal, and the hot mustard and soy went fabulously with both. Our three mains were the Wild Mahi Mahi with mango salsa, steamed asparagus, and herbed couscous; a filet steak with shrimp scampi and garlic potatoes; and a filet steak with butternut squash and garlic potatoes. The Mahi Mahi main was perfect and the asparagus and couscous were delicious with it. The filet and shrimp main had a couple of minor flaws with the filet being a little under the requested medium rare temp, the shrimp were overcooked by about a minute and a half so they were rubbery, and the shrimp were also served without a sauce. The filet and butternut squash main was perfect with the filet cooked to a perfect medium rare and served with a delicious Béarnaise sauce. The cooks in this kitchen, unlike in some franchise restaurants, mostly know what they’re doing and seem to strive to put out quality food.(apps and mains get 4.33 Stars) We tried three of the desserts as well: the chocolate crème brûlée, the custard crème brûlée, and the macadamia nut chocolate brownie with raspberry sauce and vanilla ice cream. Both crème brûlées were okay, but far from perfect as they were served completely cold instead of with the hot caramelised sugar crust and cool custard base that it should be. Both were also served with a large blob of unnecessary whipped cream. The macadamia nut chocolate brownie was served with the raspberry sauce, ice cream, and a blob of unnecessary whipped cream – getting rid of the whipped cream on all of these desserts would be a solid decision.(desserts get 2.75 stars) Conclusion: We’ll be returning here someday, asking for Daemon, and probably skipping dessert. Overall we give the Bonefish Grill 4.25 stars, and we’ll round up to 5 stars for the Unilocal rating. You should definitely give this restaurant a chance if you haven’t already, or give it a second chance if you happened to have an unpleasant first impression. :)

Made a reservation days in advance. Had to wait two hours with children and grandparents until we could be seated. The staff was incompetent and our waitress was rude. Ruined New Year’s Eve.

YAY for Red Lobster being packed and with a 20 minute wait! We were starving and in the mood for seafood. We strolled by this place and although I saw a few couples walk in wearing suits and ties and I was in jeans and a hoodie, we decided to give it a try and pray to God that it was decent and that they didn’t make you put on a suit jacket or tie! After reading all the tips and reviews about the«Bang Bang Shrimp», I decided to trust my fellow Unilocalers and order that. THANKYOU, Unilocal. This was the most amazing thing I’ve ever tried. It was sweet, tangy, spicy, crunchy and soft all in one bite. We ended up ordering two others and spending 27 $ on just appetizers. Out of this world delicious. I decided to order the 6 ounce sirloin steak as I was already kind of full from the 3 orders of bang-bang shrimp and although it was tasty and cooked perfectly, it was incredibly small. If this is your only meal and you can pack away the food, order something bigger! It came with fresh green beans(which needed salt and pepper and the pointy ends cut off) and mashed potatoes. All in all, if I wasn’t incredibly hungry, I’d order this again. My husband had the pasta and had the salmon added in. He loved the pasta but wasn’t a huge fan of the sauce they used which didn’t compliment the salmon very well. He would order it again, but would probably have chicken or shrimp added instead. I wouldn’t exactly say this place is exactly kid friendly as the place is dark and more set up for an intimate setting but they do offer kid’s meals with crayons. They are also free to draw on the brown paper they used for a tablecloth. Although I wish their craft beer selection was bigger and the menu was more extensive, we had a good solid meal here with a friendly, helpful waiter and the bang-bang shrimp was absolutely delectable. We’d choose this again over Red Lobster any day!

I had the 6 oz Filet topped with a Lobster Thermidor sauce. The steak was cooked to my liking and the sauce had chunks of lobster meat. Yuuummmm. The dish came with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli, but I opted for green beans rather than the broccoli. The meal was excellent.

I think this is the WORST Bonefish Grill I have ever been. I have been to one in Alexandria, VA(Kingstowne) and Augusta, GA. This particular location in Dayton, OMG, the utensil had food particle and my water with lemon gave me the bad after taste. I will never go back to this location again.
