We have shopped here since they opened. They have a wide selection of vegetables and groceries. However you have to be careful with purchasing pre-packaged products imported from India because most of them don’t have an expiration date. The quality of these food items are suboptimal and stale. I have also found that’s some packages were already opened by previous customers etc. and the store continues to sell them. On bringing it to their attention they are not apologetic and in fact blame the customers for not checking(by opening packages!!!) before purchase. Their customer service is awful if you have to return anything(for being expired of opened packaging). Unfortunately I have observed this grocery store becoming more and more arrogant and taking customers for granted.

Since there are about 1,000 Indian markets in Atlanta it would be difficult to call any single one the best. However, I am pretty sure this one ranks somewhere near the top. If you haven’t tried cooking Indian food yet, now is as good a time as any to start. Patel Bros may have one of the best selections of spices I have ever seen and you would be hard pressed to beat their prices. THEGOOD Spices and Prices Fresh Produce Fresh Naan Food Helpful staff THEBAD Can be intimidating It’s a big store and not everything is in English Disclaimer: The only downside to buying spices here is that they come in non resealable bags. Its a small price to pay for getting 3 times the quality at 1⁄5 the price of your local Kroger/Publix. Also, if you’re interested in cooking Indian food try for recipes. It has video demonstrations and the most extensive database of recipes I have ever seen. All of my desi friends approve.
