It’s surprisingly expensive for what you get. I mean there are Indian restaurants all over Atlanta with cheaper prices with the same kind of food. Let me try and list anything positive about my experience. First of all, they have enough parking spots, since they’re not actually in the city. Tables and seats are clean, that’s good. That’s it. Moving on to the staff. Staff is okay but you really need to put a smile on your face just to make customers feel good about the place. It’s your typical Indian food, nothing fancy. So why charge more when you serve with plastic plates?

Daal and Saag were great. Naans were delicious too. The chicken boti however was extremely undercooked. We only had a few bites and ended up throwing the rest away. I told the guy at the register about it but he didn’t really seem to care much. I would recommend sticking to the vegetarian entrees here.

Food was awesome. This is my 4th visit and the taste is consistent. At the front counter Zeeshan is always helpful with suggestions. Looking forward to the next visit.

I grab lunch here for takeaway and i always get the Nehari with 2 orders of Naan. I had never tried goat or beef curry with lime or ginger but my boss who’s Pakistani convinced me to try it and it’s surprisingly good! I haven’t had exceptional Indian food in Atlanta in years… still looking for that place that will wow me like the place that closed :-/

The food was terrible, most of the Chicken that I’ve ordered has bones more than usual, cuz the chicken food should be boneless. also it was too much oily. If gone to many Indian restaurants this one was the only one that I didn’t like. and the place wasn’t clean:)

We used to frequent Zyka’s next plot over but after seeing that go downhill over the years but still having the long waits and afternoon closing time on weekends decided to try Luqma. Best decision we made. Everything, veg and non-veg were fantastic! Samosas were better than Suvidha’s, warm and crispy. Much larger portions compared to next door. Seriously better food here.

I have been here so many times and i have some good and bad experiences here. First of all the food is tasty and delicious, its no doubt about that. Prices are reasonable too and friendly atmosphere. They have issues with their cleanness as so many people found roaches in their biryani, when that happened to me I stopped going there. Its been long time now and I heard that they have a new management now and they are doing good now so i am thinking to give them another chance. Till than 2 stars

Great Pakistani food. If you come in here expecting traditional Indian food, be prepared to be disappointed. They are DIFFERENT. More oil, more spice, and different dishes. Try the karai chicken, it is absolutely amazing. Great naan as well. Comparable to Zyka down the street.

Decent meat dishes. But vegetarian sucks. This one and Zyka next door are both identical. From the menu to the way they present the food. Good for meat eaters, but if have vegetarians in your party avoid these two.

Eh. I’ve experienced better. I’ve been to Zyka before, and I gave that place 4 stars because their food was good. The more I experience other Indian cuisines, the more I don’t think Zyka deserved that 4 star rating. I’ll go back sometime and see if it still holds up. I’ll compare the two a little bit, because I’m assuming most people have gone to either one or the other. Both have small entrées(which are also relatively inexpensive). Both charge an additional cost for rice(which is a small container for a couple of dollars). They both say their rice is saffron rice, but it’s as white as regular rice, and doesn’t even smell like saffron. Both have 65−75% bones and only 25% meat in their food. Both places offer small portions for around $ 8(including rice), so much so that I’m able to eat an entire portion in one sitting. To compare, when I go to a burger place, I actually have to cut my burger in half. The last two Indian places I went(besides this one), I was able to get 3 meals out of a meal priced around $ 8 – 10(which included rice). Whereas Zyka’s food was, yes sparse, but still pretty damn good, Luqma’s food is just… Subpar. I like spicy food, but when I eat spicy food at an Indian restaurant, I intend on also actually tasting SPICES, not just heat, heat, heat, and no other flavor. I got a samosa, which they pretended they didn’t understand what my brother was saying when he called them on the phone. And yes, I literally mean one, which is probably why it was something like $ 1.50. It was greasy, and not very appetizing, at about 3 inches big. For my entrée, I got the Chicken Curry($ 5.99), with a side of rice($ 2.49). As you can see in the picture I took, the entire thing was basically three large bones with a scrape of meat on each bone. No, that doesn’t justify the $ 5.99 price here. PROS: They have takeout. Cheaper food.(Which also means cheaper flavor) CONS: Substandard food. FULL of bones. Seriously. When you eat here, expect bones, bones, bones, bones, and MAYBE two mouthfuls of meat. Lots of heat, but absolutely zero flavor. No spices seem to be used! Small portions. Rice is an additional cost. THEVERDICT: I wouldn’t come back here. It’s a lot like Zyka, yes, but unlike Zyka their food doesn’t even taste very good. At Zyka those three mouthfuls of meat are tender, moist, and delicious. Here, they’re dry and full of spiciness that masks any potential flavor. I guess that’s one way to skimp on prices: don’t actually add any spices to the food. Rice is an additional cost, instead of having it as a part of your meal. If you were to buy just an entrée without rice, it would actually be laughable how little food would be inside the container they give you.

Only been here twice, but it’s a nice family restuarant. I’m a huge fan of Zyka next door so I can’t say I like this better, but one day Zyka was so crowded that my family of 8 couldn’t find room to sit so we came to Luqma instead. The food was pretty good actually, their chicken 65 was(dare I say it) even better than Zyka’s. Everything else we ordered was good as well, not amazing but just good enough. The staff is very friendly. When I came with my husband and two year old son, the owner came over to us just to chat with my toddler. Thought that was really nice of him.

SO good! We’ve eaten next door at Zyka’s several times and always enjoyed the food, but never enjoyed the long waits and less than stellar service. Luqma easily fixes both of those — I don’t understand why it’s been so empty each time we’ve gone — but the food is absolutely delicious, the people working there have been very nice, and the service has been super quick. Don’t be fooled by the less-than-stellar outside appearance of the restaurant(on my first trip I drove around entire building, convinced that this couldn’t possibly be it. It is — and it is definitely worth coming for.(In fact, I dragged Boyfriend back with me only a few days after my first visit, and it probably won’t be long before we’re back.) Just a heads up, their food is pretty spicy, but you can ask for them to tone down the spiciness and they’ll do it happily.

Really really fabulous place for Indian/Pakistani. Their biryani is wonderful and their naan is LOVELY: fluffy and a little crispy. Also had their aloo paneer, and it was really yummy too. If you like spicy food, absolutely get the tauva chicken(as far as I know it’s always on the specials board behind the counter). It’s spicy and saucey and tastes so good. It’s a bit more casual(styrofoam plates, plastic ware, etc.) but the prices are great and the food is better.

Came with a group to luqma today and was able to try some more dishes of theirs. It seems like they added more dishes this go around, and they can be found written on the dry erase board where you order. Today I was able to sample, the chicken biryani, kardhai chicken, chicken 65, and chicken tikka masala. The best of the dishes were the biryani, chicken 65 followed by the tikka masala. There sauces although flavorful lack a little something, the consistency is not there and they tend to have a lot of oil. The chicken tikka masala is not creamy enough and comes out on the oily side. Their naan and biryani was very good and definitely tasted freshly made. Overall not much improvement from my last visit but still average.

Great spot to grab lunch or to go! The prices are great and you always leave satisfied. I really enjoy their butter chicken and chicken 65. If you’re on the fence about stopping by, it’s a must! You won’t be disappointed.

A definite solid choice for indian! Please take my advice and have a grease cup(I do this for most indian curries)…and your food is good to go! Here are allll the tastiessss: –chicken tikka masala: good tasting, not as strong as the other chicken tikka masalas i’ve had. –saag paneer: spicy with lots of cubes of paneer… however, the spinach was not a great consistency. –saffron rice: great! fluffly! –naan: HUGE! and so yummy with chewy and crispy parts. Note: –you pay at the end –make sure you tell them what goes on what check before you pay

I came here because Zyka was closed so that kind of set the tone for my experience– it wasn’t exactly what I wanted. They definitely know how to cook, but certain dishes and certain days are just better than the others. The food is very oily, like unnecessarily oily. I think at one point during my meal, I was dipping my naan into oil. I would avoid their more saucy dishes, and stick to the drier foods like Chicken 65 and biryani. The prices are very reasonable, the food is sometimes mediocre, and the staff sometimes doesn’t really seem like they care if you’re a customer or not. I will say this though, their mango lassi has been the only thing that’s been consistently good.

I ordered something randomly, and I sure got something random. I don’t really know indian cuisine beyond Naan, and was quite underwhelmed. I was pulling bones out of my curry while eating stale Naan dipped in the grease rolling off the top, and I think that is what it was supposed to be?
