Grand Buffet

I frequent this restaurant quite often and most of the time the food is good. There are certain days I’ve gone and the food was less than pleasant, But, never often enough to make me stop going. Usually I never see the bottom of my glass when it comes to refills so that’s a big plus for me. Overall good place to eat.

Good food and good service. My favorite Chinese buffet in this area.

Okay, when it comes to buffets this place is go. However, to-​go is where it’s at! The prices are reasonable and they give you a lot of food. It’s enough for dinner and lunch the next day. It is always made fresh to order and they never get the stuff off the buffet (some places do). I have ordered to many times to count and I have never been disappointed.

Had a great experience. The service was great. We were seated fast, our drinks never went empty (a huge plus) and the food was good. They cleared out plates quickly as well. I loved their fried rolls and green beans. The food was fresh. We went at around 5:30pm. The place was clean too. There’s a nice little water feature at the front that entertained my toddler while my fiancé was finishing his food. We will definitely be back.

Landed in Houston on business and I was hungry and on a diet. This truly is a «Grand Buffet!» Great service and a great selection of choices. Fresh, hot and healthy food! Do not pass by this restaurant!

So this place is bad. The service is rude, impatient. Food is garbage covered in sauce. I took a huge dump on the bathroom just to find out the toilet over flowed and the manager couldn’t even have the decency to get me some toilet paper.
I had to walk around the buffet line with out wiping. MOST EMBARRASSING EXPERIENCE EVER.
Don’t go there if you want toilet paper. Apparently they don’t use it.

This place has lots of open seats at lunch time which can be a sign of bad location or not great food. Well in my opinion it’s both the location is kinda hidden an the food sucks. And there isn’t much of a selection. But at least you are seated quickly and it’s cheap.

First time ive been there and food was amazing so worth the drive from baytown to eat very yummy service was fantastic omg i will go there again any time. Seating was nice and table was very clean no residue on the tables from what ever cleaner they use which is fantastic. The bath room was nice not as clean as I would like but it was clean. I highly recommend you try thos place!!!

To begin, I’m not even sure why I gave this place two stars — maybe because anyone who can make it this long in the restaurant business must be doing something right and I’m too nice to give a one-​star review.
Had lunch here on a Thursday around 1pm and was not impressed and in fact a bit nauseous by late in the afternoon. But, I’m getting ahead of myself.
We were seated at a dirty table in spite of the fact that the place was nearly empty. We decided to just head straight to the buffet while they cleared the table and wiped the remnants of the previous diners meal off the seats.
The buffet line choices appeared as if they had been there for some time. Rice was very clumpy, the sesame chicken shriveled and unappetizing. The spare ribs were very dry and some of the other fried chicken was very dry, stringy and ‘chewy’. The cheese puff was all puff and little cheese — if there was any ‘krab’ in there it must have reincarnated and skittered away.
The sushi was where I found the krab, in the end and I wish it had lived up to another reviewer’s recommendation. I think that it was the leading factor behind the aforementioned nausea.
Staff was attentive, and other than our table as we first sat down the place appeared clean.
I think this place has put the final nail in the coffin for me with buffets in general. Portions at most restaurants are already ‘super-​sized’ it seems and I’m not not a ‘super-​sized” guy nor do I intend to become one. My suggestion is to pass on this place.

Have been here twice now, one time each for lunch and dinner.
Food is tasty and fresh… nothing special, mind you, but good nonetheless.
Service was actually fairly attentive, unusual for a buffet.
The restaurant itself was quite clean and fresh.
I expect we’ll be back.
As for the 3 star rating… for God’s sake, its a Chinese buffet, not fine dining.

I love coming to this restaurant because 1) It’s close to my job. 2) Staffs are extremely nice. 3) Food is good.
The only thing I wish they would do is change the menu every so often, as long as I have been eating there, the food choices have always been the same, even for dinner.

Ate dinner on a Saturday and all the food was the same, very over cooked. Not many choices. The fries and sweet tea was good and that was all. Very over priced for what they had to offer. Will not be back!

They are usually better than this. Service was fine but the food was mediocre.
The dumplings were cold even after putting steamy sauce on them and the outside was way too rubbery. Egg Fu Yung, the egg wasn’t cooked enough though the outside was crunchy, the inside was gooey.
The Mongolian Chicken was ok. Not their usual, but not bad.
Sweet and sour pork was good as well as the egg rolls.
Would still come here. Usually MUCH better and convenient location for us.

I’ve eaten here a few times. It’s similar to Hibachi Grill Buffet or King Buffet in Friendswood. Narrower selection but did is good.

I have been here more than 3 times and i am always happy with the food and service.

One of the cleanest buffets I’ve ever been to. My husband and I went for lunch on a weekday so it wasn’t very busy. The service was great, we had what we needed when we needed it!
I don’t usually eat sushi at buffets because I don’t know how long it’s been sitting out, and it’s never really that good. However, I read reviews saying the sushi was good. I tried a variety and was not disappointed. I will definitely eat some next time! My husband enjoyed his food as well. We both agree that we will be going back!

Every now and we hop in the car and drive up to Pasadena to get out Baytown for a while. We didn’t know of any decent places to eat, both of us were pretty hungry, and I was craving sushi and my hubby was craving Chinese food, so a quick area search on my phone brought up Grand Buffet as a Chinese place that served sushi and had a Mongolian grill. I was skeptical as I tend to not really like buffet food or buffet sushi, but we tried it anyway. It was much cheaper than Hibachi here in Baytown, and the food was much better. The sushi was actually very good and the Mongolian grill was one of the better ones I have ever had at a buffet. They also serve imported Japanese beer, which I enjoy when I eat sushi or Asian food. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, the place was packed yet clean, and our bill wasn’t that bad, even with my beer. From now on, every time we go to Pasadena we will stop by here for a bite to eat.

Friendly service with an incredible selection of both cold & hot food. The place is always packed no matter the time of day.

very big decent quality clean buffet. it has sushi & hibachi also with the buffet– havent tried em yet tho.
i zoned in on the jalepeno chicken and brocc & chicken!!! damn good!
they also have seafood & alot of diff fruits & desserts!!!

We had a GRAND ol’ time at the Grand Buffet! One of the cleanest buffets I’ve been at. If you like chicken, there are about 10+ different ways they prepare it. They also have a very large selection of sushi and desserts.
Good place to go for a quick lunch. The price is low and you can say the same for your productivity level after returning to work. :D
