They have great food at a pretty good price. I like that you have the options of getting smaller portions of the entrée if it’s just for one. Their dishes are a nice size.

The flavor and portions are both big. They deliver all the way up to closing time. And I have never had a single order that was delivered wrong or missing anything. I know it seems silly to have to say that, but it seems of late alot of establishments are failing to check what they send out.

Decided to get takeout from here because it was closer, wouldn’t order a single thing we ordered again. I came here about 5 years ago and didn’t like it and thought maybe they’d gotten better, I was wrong. Don’t know why it has so many stars, I would have given it one star but the staff was very friendly (although it seemed like the owner).

Asian fast food at best. Quality is about that of the mall food court. Chewy meat, sad and very few vegetables, potstickers were overly doughy and swimming in grease. If the prices were half what they are I would get it but at $ 10 a plate I would go anywhere but here.

I’d give it 3.5 stars. Great for a quick dine-​in place. Food is decent for the price. And service is quick.

I’ll admit this place used to be good. Too bad it’s not anymore though. The service quality has gone down. The food is way too expensive for its price. And the food quality is just not tip top. I also sat and listened to the waitress argue with the owner because she didn’t have a hair tye and her nasty hair was all over the place. She LITERALLY wouldn’t put her hair up. He repeatedly asked her. If it was me, I would’ve asked her to go home or send her on break to buy one across the street. It’s a hygienic issue and that girls attitude would have been enough to fire her.

Not terrible, but quality has been going down over the years while the price hasn’t. It’s not really worth nearly $ 10 for a lot of the food.

I only have eaten here twice, but everything I tried was very good.

Very good made to order Chinese. The sesame chicken is definitely something worth trying. The place usually isn’t crowded and the service is friendly and quick.

Always order here for delivery and I’m never disappointed. Food arrives within 30 – 40 minutes. It’s always fresh and taste good. Only downfall is sometimes they are so busy the wait time to order may take a little longer then usual.

The food was alright as long as you don’t look up at the ceiling. The ceiling and pendant lamp cords need a serious cleaning.

Quick friendly service. Food is very fresh and tasty. Have never been disappointed coming here. I’ve even gone out of the way so I could eat here.

This has been our go to place for over 7 years. The shrimp spring rolls are my favorite here and the general tofu is delicious. I recommend the korean style house fried rice, even though it is not on the menu you can order it anytime. Service and quality have been consistently very good throughout the years.

This flaming wok is one of the best. We order the spicy shrimp fried rice and will definitely be returning to this location.

For all of the great reviews this place has on Unilocal,I was expecting amazing. However it is just Meh! Upon walking in, the places smells very antiseptic. Not normally the appetizing fragrance I look for when seeking our places to eat, but on a positive note at least it was clean. There was one couple eating at a table, one man who can in to pick up take-​out and no one else came in throughout the entire dining experience. Odd when you note we came in at peak time on a Friday night. The menu is small but appropriate. You order at a counter, not at your table, this made me feel like I was eating in a cafeteria (definitely not a fan).
All of our food was brought out at the same time, this does not lend itself to a pleasurable time. And the service was ok, the guy brought our food and left, bnever asked if it look ok or if he could get us anything. Maybe I missed where I should have ordered «great service» on the menu.
The food however was bland. We ordered Orange Peel Chicken, Mongolia Chicken Hot Spicy with fried rice, Egg Drop Soup, Wonton Soup and Spring Rolls. For the entrees it seemed like the chicken had been cooked way in advance and then according to which ever sauce you ordered, it was smothered in it before serving. Not what I was hoping for, and the Mongolian Hot Spicy lacked flavor with its frozen green peas. The soups were ok, and the spring rolls were very bland, there only saving grace was the peanut sauce served out of a can (obviously not homemade).The fried rice however was good.
As for returning to this place, I will have to wait for my MSG coma to wear off.

Love this place! I’ve had them deliver and ate at the restaurant. Best Chinese food in Pasadena. Staff is great and always pleasant. The food is delicious and they give you plenty enough when you order.

We decided to stop and try it on way back home (Texas City) and we enjoyed the food and service. the food is great so that’s why we don’t mind driving for some more Flaming Wok it’s worth it.

This place has some awesome food. I have one complaint… The shrimp needs a bit more of a bath before they get all fried and delicious… BUT that is it. They were prompt with the delivery and very kind. In fact, they were sooner that they had quoted. I am completely full and all from the comfort of my home in my pj’s! Even my husband is impressed, and that is not a feat easily accomplished! Good Job!!! I will be coming back!

Decided to try this restaurant out with my boyfriend and didn’t regret it! The food is delicious and the service is great. Nice, clean seating areas with good lighting. Prices are good for the amount of food you receive, and its always hot. Definitely recommending this restaurant to my friends.

I have been eating at Flaming Wok on Fairmont since it opened many years ago. I am what you consider to be a Chinese food «regular» — as I enjoy Asian food a few times a week. I LOVE going here and I bring friends whenever I can! I mostly pick up my food togo. The owner remembers me everytime and even calls me by my first name! Great service like this is hard to find these days. Honestly, personal service like this is a big reason I come back so often — it makes me feel special!
I have tried everything from the appetizers to the noodle and soup dishes. The quality is consistent and the food is always hot. The portion size is good too. I can often turn a dinner portion entrée into two meals (dinner & lunch the next day).
