I ordered food at 12:34. It is currently 2:48. I have not received any food. I have called 20 times within the hours and they have answered twice and hung up on me both times. Never again. I’m only giving it one star because I have to.

The food is always fresh Which is good when it comes to chicken and fries Because who doesn’t like fresh fried food? You have to order ahead of time because they are most of the time extremely busy— or else I would give them 5 stars. My favorite is the shrimp! With some sea captain sauce

On 01÷11÷15, I visited the Sea Captain’s Fish & Chicken, and I ordered a burger and fries. It waited over 30 minutes! The food was done before 30 minutes, but the guy at the register did not bother to tell me. I went up to the front and he just handed me my food. He had to know that I was waiting because I walked to the front to get better service on my phone. Next time, I will take my business elsewhere for a burger and fries-Lukulos Restaurant. To make matters worse, my food was cold so I had to reheat it. The food was okay for the price, but I am still mad about the poor customer service. Hopefully, Unilocal does not filter my review.

Its really fantastic food! Everything is seasoned well and FRESH!!! It might take a little longer than most other places because of the preparation time but thats OK with me. I just plan ahead. I would give it more stars but the food IS pretty damn expensive. The place seems to be clean but sparsely decorated. Just stark atmosphere. Also they dont seem to keep regular hours. Thats a huge problem!

So there’s really only 2 things you need to know about this place: Their special sauce in beyond amazing. Haven’t had anything like it. But their service, the way their business is run(open and close whenever they feel like it), and the location is terrible. The food is going to be pretty expensive too. But it’s worth a try and a sweet treat whenever you can’t decide what to order.

Sea Captain has decent food. However, their delivery has been ridiculous! My sister ordered food from here once and it took forever, and we just thought it was really high traffic. However, I just placed an order today of pizza puff and fries and it took forever again. When I finally got through to them the worker on the phone said that it was shift change and he didn’t see the order. How does no one check the orders coming in for 2 hours?! Maybe for walk-ins this place is okay, but I would choose another option for delivery.

HOLYMOLY this place is beyond amazing. 6 bucks for a sandwhich drink and fries with sea captains sauce. The bread is so fresh it amazing, the portions are on point and the price just makes it better. After having it for the first time I ended up ordering 3 times in 24 hours and still wanted more, and I wasn’t even hungry. I have made everyone in my house go there now and we make excuses now just to go. BEST FASTish FOOD in the dekalb sycamore area!

I live down the street and from the flashing neon window lights to their«special sauce», this spot has earned my trust. If you don’t know what to get I recommend their Philly cheesesteak and fries with«special sauce», add a Arizona ice tea and you have a meal fit for a modern king!

They fixed the issue a manager called and was not informed of the issue until reading my review. Much better :)

Definitely cheap. Made my child cry when their chicken nuggets were so spicy it hurt his mouth. There was some sort of seasoning that they poured all over the nuggets and fries in their basket. This was not on any of the other food. Overall it was cheap and the food wasn’t that impressive. It would probably make ok drunk food. My husband also killed a roach on the way out the door.

Sea Captain is a spin-off of Sharks Fish & Chicken, which is a franchise in the Chicagoland area. Sea Captain, on the other hand, is an independent business. First, the décor is reminds me of a pirates munchies’ paradise; there’s a net on the wall with starfish and a bunch of random ocean wildlife replicas. Second, you know that Sea Captain is open when their LED rope lights are on, blinking 500x a second — perfect to see for any drunk person walking through Greek Row or from Rosy’s Roadhouse. Third, the catfish and shrimp are phenomenal — and this is coming from a Southside Chicagoan who has had his share of soul food(Leon’s BBQ, Marvin’s Soul Food, the Original Sharks, etc.) However, the prices are a bit steep, but well-worth it – I haven’t had a bad poop from this place, unlike Burritoville, whose food flows through you like a bad laxative prank. Lastly, the owner once worked at Sharks, so he knows how to make this stuff fresh and piping hot every time. Plus there’s rap blasting in that place 24/7, so it feels like the hood. P. S. Stay away unless you wanna gain some weight. And stay away from the Captain sauce, that stuff is too tangy! And tell the owner to get a liquor license, there’s plenty of room for a bar.
