Great craft cocktail and creative menu make 50 Ocean one of Delray’s «must visit” restaurants. Great views of the ocean and great service, too.

I recently came to this place for my friend’s birthday. We’re all about brunch, mimosas, and birthdays! Mix that together, and it’s a party! I have to say that not only the service was superb, but the food that the 15 of us had was the best brunch that we’ve ever had! Being that I’m allergic to shellfish, I ordered from their side dishes. Grits eggs and applewood smoked bacon. Yummy! Can’t wait to go back!!!

Delish!!! Their lobster roll is soooo tasty! I also love their wedge! The manager, Jeremy(I think that’s his name) is also so friendly and always visits our table for a brief hello. My family and I always have a great experience. It’s always our«go to“‘spot in Delray!

Delicious and love that you have to take an elevator to the 2nd floor and overlook the sandbar area but make reservations during high season

We were last minute looking for Easter Brunch from out of town. It was Friday and we were receiving snarky comments from everywhere we called telling us we were too late for Sunday reservations for a holiday. But 50 Ocean was happy to accommodate, excellent service and delicious food.(Not to mention a meal wth a view!) Would recommend to all, hope to return!

Loved this experience — sat in a window seat. Best beet salad of my life! Beet salad. Delicious bread and seafood. Use the valet parking — it’s easier!

Have not had our food yet and I have already decided that I will not be coming back. It is way too noisy, unable to have a casual conversation without yelling across the table.

This is a lovely restaurant right on the ocean in downtown Delray. There is valet parking which makes it easier. The food is excellent they have a delicious lobster roll that you can order without the bread. The service was excellent. There was a little wait but they were very accommodating to us.

Phenomenal meal at 50 Ocean last Friday night! Whole Belly clams, roasted beet salad with Goat Cheese and perfectly prepared Sea Scallops. Dessert was beignets that were as good as New Orleans! My compliments to Chef Blake and his culinary staff! Service was spot on too! Wine & water glasses filled continuously, plates cleared quickly! Great restaurant!

My wife and I ate here last night(Valentine’s day) and I can’t say enough about it. We enjoyed the special couples menu. We selected the caprese salad which featured slices of heirloom tomatoes and ricotta. It was an interesting take on the caprese salad you find in most restaurants and I have to say far more delicious. The entrée was a 26 oz porterhouse and split lobster tail served with scalloped potatoes and green beans. 5 stars for taste. 5 stars for presentation. The steak was cooked perfectly. Dessert was a selection of small confections and the dinner included a bottle of wine. The food was great but the ambiance can’t be discounted. The floor to ceiling overlooking the ocean and the bar in the center with the aquarium all make for a perfect romantic venue. The service was excellent and the management stopped by frequently to make sure we were enjoying our dinner. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I love going to 50 Ocean for lunch on the weekends. The view of the ocean is beautiful, the staff is very friendly, & we love the food. it is always nice to go for a drive by the beach on the weekend and enjoy lunch at such a great place with a beautiful atmosphere.

50 Ocean has the best of everything South Florida has to offer. It starts with the Location with a gorgeous view and beautiful décor. But what makes it special is the excellent service and what for it… the food. Executive Chef Blake and his team have created an incredible menu full of delights all sourced locally. Octopus, mussels, salads, soups and entrees to satisfy all, from a pasta dish to duck, steak and chicken. But the seafood dishes are my favorites. The snapper is a favorite. Served with coconut risotto and corn relish. The flavors work. Light but filling. Perfect. I can not say enough about 50 Ocean. You will not be disappointed.

Love the menu, great buzz, fabulous ocean views and warm, friendly service! The Sunday Brunch menu is beyond belief. How about the Vanilla Malt Stacked Pancakes with cream infused maple syrup? Or The Elvis? Silver dollar pancakes with peanut butter mouse, caramelized banana’s and vanilla whip cream??? To die for! The 2016 winter menu is inspired from the unique back kitchens of Europe. This restaurant just gets better & better!

A second floor room that has awesome ocean views with floor to ceiling windows providing one a panoramic view. The bar has a built in aquarium that features recognizable fish. For lunch, we had Fish tacos and the Lobster Bisque which were excellent along with the service. Looking forward to our next visit in the near future.

For a well-priced neighborhood café, this is outstanding. I have had breakfasts such as eggs over(cooked perfectly) and Poached eggs over corned beef hash and English muffins with Hollandaise the food is excellent. The complimentary sides of hash browns and choice of bread are excellent. 2 eggs with those sides is just $ 5.95. I have had salads and many sandwiches. one of my favorites is ½ lb. hamburger, juicy and perfectly spiced and cooked with wonderful savory fries — crispy and soft inside They are even good cold. That meal is just $ 8.95!

My thoughts were that I want a great atmosphere, great, fresh, tasty seafood with friendly attentive service. We got it here. John was a phenomenal server and the grouper was out of this world. Highly recommend.

The Grouper is AMAZING! Other menu items looked as delicious — excited to return and try the snapper. Lighting outside at the tables(not over-head) could be a tad bit brighter to read menu but otherwise service, food, ambiance … Great!

I really wanted to like this restaurant. Based on the reviews, it seemed like a great choice. The bread and drinks were good. We ordered the octopus and fish ribs as appetizers. Both were extremely small and embarrassing that they would charge those prices for the amount of food that you get. The octopus was rubbery. For dinner we ordered the burger and also the scallops. Scallops were big in size and okay. Everything was slathered in a ton of sauce and salt it was just too overwhelming. The burger was doused in liquid cheese. Too much salt and sauce on everything. I was very disappointed. They also did not give me the credit for my open table reservation I assume because we came a little earlier because we were hungry. But the restaurant was half empty so we were seated right away anyways. The service was OK. Overall we would not go back.

For us, it doesn’t get better than 50 ocean… A really terrific restaurant with wonderful service, charming cocktails, view of the Atlantic Ocean, & an expansive and eclectic menu. Tip: I recommend sitting on the east portion of the bar– the built in aquarium is home to many native fish as well as a little sting ray named Del. One last thing to note: Jared is one of 50 Ocean’s best assets! He is wonderful, and always makes us feel at home

Service. The service and care by the manager and staff was outstanding. A mix up in the kitchen was corrected beyond necessary. Which, is greatly appreciated. The food was exceptional as well. Tip for diners — get the Grouper prepared like snapper — it’s outstanding.

Great dinner at 50 Ocean. Manager Tad was very customer service oriented and accommodating. I took the former Unilocal reviewers suggestion of rock shrimp pot pie appetizer. It was a light pastry biscuit on top of a rich creamy rock shrimp tomato Newburgh like casserole. It was rich and delicious. My husband had the local soup of the day. A Orange creamy squash Thai soup that was equally as yummy with bits of cream and onion on top. Our friend enjoyed the wedge salad. The waiter suggested the grouper and snapper as the most popular dishes. My husband and our friend had the snapper which was divine. The fish presentation was on top of a half coconut with coconut rice and the portion was perfect. Wow what a fresh light snapper. We ended with a chocolate mousse cherry birthday mound that was to die for. The atmosphere was romantic, the view sublime of the ocean. A fabulous bar that had an embedded fish tank. Will definitely be back to try the really incredibly inventive menu.

50 Ocean has the best view in Delray! Very pretty nautical décor. The brunch is super tasty & good deals on bottomless mimosas. The food specials on the weekday happy hour are great. I recommend the mussels(big pot for $ 8), the cheese plate(selection of 3 cheeses — bleu, triple cream, sharp white cheddar, strawberry, grape, candied walnuts, bread & tomato jam $ 9), the charcuterie board(cured meats, house pates, b&b pickles, tomato jam $ 10). Very happy with our selections. Enjoyed Funky Buddah Hopgun. Wine selection kinda stinks for the happy hour. Tip — the wooden high tops in the lounge look cool but have super tiny high chairs & unless you want to work on strengthening your back… So uncomfortable!

The place is perfect if you want to have a view of the Atlantic ocean right from your own table. It’s located right above Boston’s on the Beach and there is plenty of inside and outside seating. The brunch menu has a variety of options to choose from. They do have a bottomless mimosa option along with a bloody Mary bar to indulge your thirst on. The«Elvis» was a creative name for the item I got, which was waffles stuffed with peanut butter mousse, chantilly cream, caramelized bananas, and syrup along with a side of cheddar cheese grits. Even though it probably didn’t come from the King himself, it was damn good. My husband got the biscuits with white chocolate and pepper sausage gravy and a side of bacon. It was damn good too. Our waitress was attentive and friendly and the welcoming atmosphere was very hospitable. There is valet parking for customers that want to park here instead of parking a little further away and taking the walk. Keep your receipt to show to the valet staff to get a discount for the valet instead of paying the full amount if you don’t have it. Take advantage of it if you can since it’s a hit or miss when trying to find a parking spot in the downtown Delray Beach area.
