Always a favorite for the seasoned New Englander! Great service. Inside and outside seating. Wonderful staff, live music on most nights inside. Love the vibes here. Dishes are ample portions. Food is really good and something for everyone on the menu. Drinks are strong. Across the street from the beach. Ample street parking with meters or valet parking out back. An absolute must visit for Bostonians.

As a Bruins/Celtics/Patriots/Cannons fan I am the Black Sheep of my Family. With that being said, my Parents cannot argue how good the food is. Ipswich Clams in So Florida is definitely a treat. The menu is diverse enough to accommodate different types of eaters and never had a bad drink poured. I love all the Massachusetts memorabilia in the place and a really upbeat staff. Always a great place to put my problems to the side for a while

Starting with the convenient $ 5 parking in crowded Delray Beach, this was a good experience. I had the fried fish on a coconut roll with lime tartar sauce and home made fresh french fries and raspberry iced tee. This is a perfectly executed generous portion that could easily serve two diners. at $ 13.95 that is a bargain price. My husband had a chicken salad wrap with homemade potato chips, also excellent and at $ 10.95 also a good value. Another of our party had the appetizer of peel and eat shrimp, very generous portion and I was told it was also excellent. We sat inside near the bar because we had 6 people and the outside was crowded, but at 1:30 it was quiet and a really good place to eat.

Born in raised in Boston and had lived in Delray for 5 years, this was my favorite spot to get a little taste of home. I love watching every sports game here and they also serve amazing shell fish from a company that I am familiar with in Ipswich MA.

‘Ello chaps! Back to re-review Boston’s On The Beach, which is normally one of my favorite spots around. They are dog friend, have good food and a nice view. But, had to knock down their star rating because of the extremely rude service recently. Tried to check them out for breakfast but showed up at 11 a.m. and told by the hostess that she wouldn’t seat us. This left my group quite confused. The hostess without explaining they were no longer seating for breakfast only told my group that we must leave and go to a restaurant upstairs and or to the left. I was dumbfounded. After about 5 minutes of questioning I think I figured out she was trying to explain that they stop breakfast service and for a full hour they don’t seat people at all as they prepare for lunch? This is what I’m assuming. I’m a very patient and understanding person, I just don’t understand why this hostess was so rude and unhelpful. I have nothing against Boston’s, but I certainly won’t return with that hostess working.

Boston’s does get kudos for being one of the few Boston-oriented sports bars in South Florida with its décor a mix-match of representing all four major sports teams of that area. If you’re a Bostonian or a transplant from the area, you’ll be at home here for sure as well as tourists who are in town and want a spot to nosh and drink given its perfect location across from the beach on A1A. From what I have had there in the past, the food is solid and really good portion sizes like their Fried Clams and Chicken Fingers. Their Buffalo Shrimp Roll is also really good, and you can have them make it hotter if you want — they serve it normally at mild. T The only major minuses are the pricing on the menu, which is a little higher than what you would expect for pub grub at a sports bar — many of the sandwiches and entrees tend to run at least $ 18 – 25(although the Buffalo Shrimp roll was $ 14 and was worth it). You may justify this due to its location on the beach and appeal to tourists, but still I’m not going to spend $ 15 on a burger at a sports bar — gastropub or upscale place, OK, but not here. Plus street and lot parking can be tight, especially during the weekends — and the meter maids are always out in force. Overall though, Boston’s is a fun hangout, and a good place to start and/or end a beach day. Plus with its other two locations next door and upstairs — the cabana-oriented Sandbar and the upscale 50 Ocean respectively, you can always mix it up and make a day out of it.

Pretty fun late Monday Night get together to celebrate a friends birthday. We had a decent size group so we spent time gathering chairs for our area and awaiting all the arrivals. We only have one server for our big group and she wasn’t the most attentive though extremely pleasant. As I waited on her the leaking AC water dripped on me. Of course I moved to only notice additional drops on the table? Was beyond starving after a long wait in south Florida traffic. Not sure I should rate the food for that reason alone. Nothing was great — okay at best. But the clam chowder was good on the first spoon full but there was a strange after taste.(I wonder if any of that leaky water found it;s way into the soup?) Picked off others plates and nothing was that great. And strangely everyone told me that they normally avoid the soups? Pretty nice band that played. And the drinking members of the group seemed to have fun. So I’d try this place out for happy hour and music, but no rush for the food.

Saved by its location and tradition. Love the venue but food and service are nothing special. Located across the street from the beach. We were seated on the sidewalk which is a great spot to watch the action if it is not too hot. We ordered the Nantucket Nachos, Crackling Calamari, and Artichoke and Spinach Fondue. Our server was friendly but our waters were not filled enough. We had to ask when we clearly had empty cups. The nachos were underwhelming lacking any crab and queso. Presentation lacking as well. It looked like a careless pile. The calamari was served in a cone with a meager portion of calamari and half the dish was fried jalepeno. Not worth the price. The fondue was actually quite good. It saved the meal. Good enough to hang for drinks. The food may be enjoyed once your tastebuds are numbed by alcohol.

Came to Delray Beach for the day with my boyfriend and we stopped in to Boston’s to watch the Jets game. Even though it’s a big Patriots bar, we still had a great time! My boyfriend ordered their wing special and I had their lobster roll with sweet potato fries. The roll was filled with meaty lobster chunks which i really enjoyed. We also unlocked the coupon code though check in and ordered a free drink. The place is spacious and has a great atmosphere. The service is great, everyone is friendly, and our server Will was great as well. If ever in town again, we will definitely come back.

Great atmosphere, perfect location. The Wickedmary, hands down, best Bloody Mary I’ve ever had! Garnished with shrimp, a sweet onion, pepper jack cheese, olive stuffed with a piri piri pepper and old bay seasoning on the rim! We just sat at the bar and had drinks and the Gorgonzola chips which were delicious. The cheese was melted and had bacon pieces and balsamic glaze. Mmmm! Even better, when I checked in on Unilocal, the deal was a free drink with an appetizer and my boyfriend got a mojito so I was expecting that to be the free one but the took off the Wickedmary was was $ 12! I would definitely go back to try more of the food!

This place is ok. For the location with it being right on the beach and a great view I expected maybe a little bit more and held high expectations for this place. Honestly the experience only gets a 3 star bc I got my FREE drink with check in, it has it’s perks. I ordered«the patriot» which tastes pretty great! Sweet but has a sour taste as well. Almost like a raspberry soda. It also came with a sou comer cup. FREEFORTHEWIN :) The calamari was the . I personally didn’t eat them but the twins did and they are pretty critical about some good calamari but this one was out of the park! «Wicked good» as the Boston people would say :) Crispy, golden, perfectly seasoned — the list could go for days. All wrapped in a cone figure with sauce on the side. I ordered the chickencabana which was a mess but great. The chicken was juicy and fresh. My boyfriend had the dbl burger he loved it and really enjoyed the mango cold-slaw it was verrryyyyy good. HOWEVER we UPCHARGED for sweet potato fries and after waiting 30+ min for our food we noticed the food was warm and the sweet potato fries were cold! So much for getting what you pay for -, — The twin ordered the lobster roll. He went on reminiscing of living in Boston and had some high expectations. Sadly very disappointed. Lobster was ehhh. Probably sitting out for to long. The bread it was served on is not a good match definitely would’ve ordered something else. As if the food was mediocre enough, the service was poor as well. I guess we came during shift change. Just very very slow and disorganized. Our waitress gave us our food and never even checked up on us for a while.(Fast eaters) so we had t literally wave her down for the check. And started standing by our table to give more of a push for her to go faster — nothing gave her the hint. Very sweet girl… Just in a completely empty restaurant you thought she’d maybe be more on top of things. I guess I’ll add this place to the«hit or miss» list.

It’s just fried food. You would think it’s a great seafood option — but it’s not. It’s like going to red lobster on the beach. Fried shrimp, fried clams, fried fish — and some burgers and fries strewn in. If you want seafood in that area better off to go upstairs. Unimpressed — but the happy hour, like all happy hours in Delray is good.

Being from Boston, I can tell you that the seafood is not nearly as good as it is up north, but they try. We really just go here for the atmosphere. If you go, you have to sit outside, such a fun view if you like people watching etc. They are even pet friendly if you sit outside on the ‘pooch patio’. My husband got a hot dog, which he enjoyed. I got the clam roll, clams were too chewy, but mostly edible. Service is always friendly, we will always go back.

Our visit today was very enjoyable– Boston’s is great atmosphere right across from the beach. Sitting outside is great to people watch and comfortable even on a hot day — they have the fans running and it’s not bad. Our service was on spot — always on top of filling our water glasses. Food is always good — haven’t eaten a bad dish yet. The blackened mahi sandwich or salad is always a great choice. If you use the Unilocal coupon don’t forget to show waiter or manager first.

Had an early dinner here on a recent Saturday. Nice selection of cocktails. Lots of seafood on the menu here with burgers and sandwiches and salads. Had the fried clams which were the«whole belly» clams that are typically called steamers. They were fresh and delicious. Baskets and sandwiches come with fries or chips. Silly me, I assumed the chips were homemade but they were just a small bag of potato chips. Burger was good. A little disappointing that you can’t even see the beach from here even though it’s right across the street. Upstairs is now a more formal restaurant, not great if you’re coming from the beach to have a bite. Server not to familiar with their drink menu. I asked his opinion between a couple of drinks and he was clueless.

My boyfriend is from Boston and had always wanted to come here, but somehow has lived here two years and never made it, so for the Patriots game a few Sundays we finally made the trip. I was a little worried arriving during the first quarter of the game, I figured it would be hard to get a table, but we were seated right away. On the first floor they have two bars, which were both pretty packed. We were seated near the back bar, where there is a large projector screen that plays whatever Boston game is going on, and hanging by the bar are plenty of other TV’s of decent size playing the other games of the day. My boyfriend wanted a margarita and they had one with a corona in it. I didn’t order that because I was afraid it would be a gross frozen margarita mix, but I tried his and it was actually pretty good. I just ordered a bucket of bud light lime, a game special at $ 12 for 5, for us to share when he finished his drink. Our waitress initially seemed a little rough around the edges and was short with us, but as the meal went on she got much sweeter and it became obvious she must have been flustered by something initially, they were quite busy. For food we ordered a few appetizers including the steamers, wings, and peel and eat shrimp. I didn’t try the steamers, but if you are from New England you will probably be disappointed by the portion size here. The peel and eat shrimp I enjoyed, they had some seasoning to them, and the wings were good and had a nice crisp to them, though they were small. We ordered them mild, but they weren’t all that spicy so I think I could probably handle medium. Aside from coming here to watch a game, they have a lovely patio area that is puppy friendly and has a pretty good ocean view. As a place to come watch a game as a Boston fan, I can definitely see the appeal, as a regular meal place it is probably hit or miss depending on what you order, and the prices do seem a little crazy aside from the game time beer specials, but like most things in the area you are paying for the location as well.
