Racks Fish House & Oyster Bar

This was my first time here and I went during happy hour. I love oysters and the happy hour menu happen to have $ 1 oysters. So I ordered plenty of them. The oysters tasted great and fresh! Their drinks are pretty strong. I also ordered gumbo and it was very delicious. Overall it’s a great place to eat light and drink with some friends and have a good time. People aren’t trying to pack around standing behind you during happy hour so it’s very nice. They have plenty of outdoor seating, indoor bar/​outside bar combo

Excellent service, atmosphere. Exactly what we were looking for. Great fish options, and the ribs were very tastey. Not a huge place but lively enough and has a very new feel to it. Not cheap but the quality is there. Will be back when we go to delray.

Fantastic happy hour with a varied menu of food choices. Unfortunately, not quite as impressed with dinner. Seems the dinner prices are set to make up for the revenue lost from happy hour.

Took myself out on a date to the bar at Racks Fish House and Oyster bar and ordered myself a feast for like 5 but you better believe I ate the whole thing! The bartender was making 3 fruity looking mojitos when I sat down and they looked delicious so when he came to take my order and asked

Happy hours are had here. The fish dip is where it’s at. Don’t go anywhere else on the age of you like high quality seafood. This is the only option.

The reviews for Racks are subpar but my experience was positive. Of course my review is strictly for happy hour, half of wines, $ 4 beers and $ 1 oysters. Winner in my book

Good selection of oysters from the east and west coast. They also have a chicken dish (I can’t remember the name) that’s worth trying. It’s a little pricey but worth it.

This restaurant is fantastic. My server Ashley was amazing. She helped walk me through the menu and knew every detail about the dishes. She made my dining experience memorable. Nick was a hands on manager and took the time to stop by my table and make sure we were all well taken care of. He’s an amazing manager. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Overpriced! And the waiter we had we so obnoxious! He kept trying to up sell us every single time we ordered anything. Add shrimp, add chicken, get the most expensive wine… So annoying! Even after we said no he’d ask again… So are you going to add crab to the crab bisque? The food was ok, really nothing special and for the price you would think they’d operate with more class.

Have been here before and loved it, have reservations tonight for 8. Showed up at 7:40 and were totally willing to wait till 8 at the bar, hostess says We can get you in now. Then plops us, mind you willing to wait for decent table we reserved, at a table literally on the sidewalk. We left, told them no we’ll wait till 8. I shall update at 8:05 once I know the outcome… I don’t want to fight the passerby for my food or conversation w my wife, im not sitting on a sidewalk
So, here is my update: I was upset but I’m so wrong and I’m not even sure in what way other than this, that was an amazing meal!!! Totally worth waiting for. Had new orleans steak and shrimp, wanted snapper but they were out, steak was perfectly temped. Shrimp were crusted w red pepper and grilled! Yum. No sauce, I requested none, and rice was very good. Had grilled octopus and oysters (yamamoto?) for starters… Delicious. Overall once again a great meal. Thank you for making a night headed off the rails into a great date night for my wife and I. Racks is good eats and a comfy environment.
P. s. Bartender, thanks for the extra olives in my masterpiece cocktail. Made the wait easier.

Great place ! Very good food. Had the deviled egg, grilled octopus and tuna tartar. All very nice and spicy! Ryan provided a quick and effecient service! We would come back anytime.

So Disappointed in Manager
Had dinner there laat night and was witness to 4 patrons arguing over their bill. Why, because they ordered the happy hour oysters (or so they thought) until the bill came. Don’t quote me but I think they were charged $ 21 not 6. In their defense, the teepee on table is not specific, i know this because I asked my server for myself. Long story short, manager refuses to budge on bill and calls the police. 3 show up. Unnecessary, all they wanted was a correction in the pricing. I had guests from out of town who were appalled by it all. Needless to say, will not be returning.

Amazing happy hour! You MUST try the Oyster Rock A Fella, fry calamari and the eggs with lobster!

There are few places where critical elements come together-​Racks is one of those places-​their happy hour is unsurpassed. 50% off all liquor and wine and dollar oysters (which are sweet, fat and perfectly chilled). The rest of their happy hour menu is unsurpassed gastro heaven. Lobster quesadillas, tuna tar tar, grass fed burger, crab cake, all this and more that puts most happy hour menus to shame. Even their house wines are commendable. Even better is their staff. We come way out of our way to enjoy Brian’s uniquely enjoyable dry humor and vast knowledge of craft cocktails. We love being greeted by name and treated warmly, with humor and intelligent creative banter.

Yummy happy hour is well worth the stop raw oysters and clams nice place nice price great staff love chef Dre!

Went recently this week. Not as good as before probably due to waiter.
Pros: food good, interesting selection, open air concept
Cons: bad looking menus, staff in rush, slow during week, dishes were dropped and food went on floor me and my purse gross,
Seems touristy at times.

Wow SO expensive for oysters. We ordered two dozen oysters and a steak and shrimp entrée. The bill was $ 100. I am not coming back. I can get oysters at another place. I get that they have different flavors for oysters but it’s not that special for the price they charge. The steak was delicious but the shrimp and rice that came with it was mediocre. Not worth $ 45 in my opinion for that entrée.
The restaurant inside had a few tables with an open breeze. If you’re trying to avoid mosquitos, I wouldn’t come.

We’ve been several times for happy hour. LOVE the macaroni and cheese– we’ve tried every place on Atlantic (seriously), and theirs is the best! The fish tacos, grilled octopus, crab cakes, and Brussel sprouts are amazing. Oysters are $ 1 each… We’ve taken a couple of people who said the shucker is extremely lazy. I’m not an oyster expert, so they are fine to me! Recently had the buffalo shrimp. My husband loved them, I wasn’t a fan of the breading.

Service– 4 stars. Took a long time for our guy to actually approach our table, but hey, it was New Years Eve. Our waiter only recommended the most expensive things in the menu, which was a little obvious & annoying.
The food was great, though we ordered very heavy dishes. We had the bacon Mac & cheese (YUM), the Seared Scallops & Pork Belly (meal was not as I imagined it from the description, but still fantastic). Husband ordered the Mahi Special. Wasn’t overly impressed with it.
We will return… And will make sure we work out that day so we can indulge in Mac & cheese again!
