Great bar to view bands and solo artists. Delray is a great place to see really great bands and this bar is a simple and friendly.

I’ve only stopped into the Bull Bar a couple of times for drinks during the early evening hours, so my impressions of it are only for that time period. I understand they have live band entertainment, but as that occurs later and on weekends which I didn’t get a chance to see and can’t comment on it or what it is like. The Bull Bar appears to me to be one of the more serious of daylight hour drinking bars to be found along Delray’s Atlantic Avenue sector. Its causal, laid back, clean, and has a decent rather upscale décor about it. There were only a few customers both times I was there, all being rather friendly with the exception of my most recent visit when two fat women, both of whom were sloshed out of their minds, drunk, binge blitzed but who continued to be served, and were accompanied by two rather scrawny emaciated looking males, presumably their respective husbands who were begging them to leave. However, the largest women, and I do mean large, told them to sit down and shut the f**k up; a command which they both, presumably in fear their lives, obediently obeyed. I know when I laughed aloud about it and one of the big ones turned on me with a scowling face asking«What the f**k you laughing at?,» I shut up too. LOL! It would have been funnier and you would have further known what I’ve meant had I included a pic of them, but that would be an «unYelp» thing to do, so I didn’t, and to further cover for any innocent bystanders, no pics taken on the occasion of that particular visit. Matter of fact I didn’t even do a check-in of that visit as such might date relate the incident. The drinks I had on both occasions were of a decent pour which they should have been as the prices are the typically the higher as are common to Atlantic Avenue establishments. The bar staff was pleasant, friendly, nice and on my last visit apologetic about the loud drunken behavior of their two female patrons though they continued to serve them. Overall I don’t have any complaints about the place. It’s a more serious drinking bar during daylight hours than are most others along Atlantic Avenue and when people over drink, unpleasantries are bound to happen. But, I actually found it to be an amusing rather funny humorous experience, and it’s a bar I wouldn’t hesitate returning to.

Music here is good and has a good vibe, but at $ 8 for a shot of Fireball«Are you Friggin Kidding me! » Talk about a rip off. Just buy beer here and you won’t get ripped off.

fun place to drink… They usually have pretty decent bands and its a bit a way from all the Ave noise.

Great little place, and when I say little I mean little. Always a great live band. My favorite is The Three Amigos. It’s a very laid back type bar but drink prices for the establishment seem steep and you can smoke in here.

This was a fun place to have a casual drink on Atlantic. It’s right at the start of all the bars/clubs in the area, so it’s a good place to start if you’re going bar hopping. They had live music which was actually pretty awesome — rock and alternative cover songs like Wonderwall and Creep. The only bad think is that there is smoking inside so the place smells like an ashtray. It’s small but in a cozy way — wasn’t too crowded when I went like some of the other Atlantic bars get(even the bigger ones).

Smoky, upcharged for drinks, and staff blocked patrons from using juke box for 90s bad music. A band was beginning to set up but the music was obviously someone’s personal playlist. Multiple attempts were made for a Rum and coke yet it still tasted like olive juice and coke. Not a favorite.

Really fun atmosphere… great location in downtown Delray Beach… everyone was very friendly… a bit on the small side.

Man I wish this place banned smoking inside so I could go there to watch one of the best local bands without reluctantly being exposed to second hand smoke. It’s outlawed in NYC and other progressive cities– ask people to go outside to willingly harm their body with cigarettes, not mine. Thx for listening.

Great bar, comfortable, much more laid back and fun than most places on Atlantic Ave, and great staff. I find South Florida lacking in Live Music, so the Bull Bar is one of the few that supports live music that goes beyond cover bands. This is a smoking bar and I do not smoke or enjoy being around it but the Bull Bar is one of my favorites and live music is usually good!

Best bar in delray! Always a good vibe and bartender is the best! Very attentive. Before I order, he’s one step ahead. Even when they are busy. Service is amazing!!!

Always a good time. Drinks are good but could be cheaper. Live music is a regular occurrence here and it’s usually good. Bartenders are good enough. They won’t be why you come back though. There can be a fair number of young frat boy types sometimes so watch out for that. Still my favorite bar in the area though.

If you’re on Atlantic ave for an evening I suggest you check out Bull Bar. It gets crowded and loud and alive. I have not had any kind of problems with anyone that goes there. There is really not a ton to say about the place other than it is a place worth stoping by for a good time.

I’ve had many good times at this bar, I performed for open mic a couple of times as well and let me tell you that if you are in the area do yourself a favor and have a drink here. It’s so laid back and chill, the interior is decorated with surfboards and fish, I love it.

Met here for after dinner drinks… if you don’t like the crowded loud scene this isn’t for you. Being from NY, being able to find a good beer, a soco on the rocks and smoke a cig at the same time indoors is a wonderful thing to me. It is in fact your typical bar, shoving at the bar and staking out your spot. Bartender was nice and kept my drinks going. But the bar itself was nothing special… but a good time all in all.

The typical bar. You go in and have a couple drinks. Maybe a few for the ones that want to party it up all night. It tends to get really crowded, so don’t be surprised if there are bumps and spills during your visit here. The band was awesome. I loved the mix of songs they played back from the 90s to the current day. The crowd was lively and it comes with a lot of people watching. Yep, another typical bar… hehe.

I went to Delray Beach for the first time last weekend and found myself at this place called Bull Bar. Things I liked : –The very happy bar back who even though I had a date constantly wanted to dance with me and a bunch of other obviously taken women –The band rocked! They played stuff like Hootie and the Blowfish, DMB and basically just stuff we can totally jam out too — We found $ 50 on the floor so our couple of drinks were taken care of for the night. Things I didn’t like: –These 40 year old women who were very drunk kept dancing into EVERYONE and constantly spilled their drinks on my toes –I don’t like when people randomly walk up to me and overtly ask for drugs. Not my thing… –The bar was dirty and I felt sticky leaving So it was a fun and profitable night but I probably won’t go back to that particular bar. There are enough bars closer to Jupiter that are Hole in the Walls and charge less for drinks. Bull Bar seems like they were going for an upscale high priced Hole in the Wall type bar. Not my cup of tea.

If you don’t stake out a spot you’ll be bounced around like a pinball in this overcrowded night spot. On the bright side you’ll always meet someone new in The Bull Bar before the night is through. The live music is always first rate; the electric violin, guitar and drums trio is a favorite. The avenue’s trendy’s people find their way to this late night hot spot the ladies wearing four inch heels, fashionable halter dresses and occasionally corsets. The guys hold their own with fashion in fine italian shoes, designer shirts and tailored slacks. This is a great people watching bar. In a prime location.

After wandering around Delray a bit my group finally decided on Bull Bar, I wonder why we bothered to even tried to go anywhere else! Yes it will be rediculously crowded on a weekend night because it is one of the most fun places on Atlantic. Live music is fun though if you can push your way through to dance it is even better!

The Bull Bar is small and usually crowded with the pretentious Atlantic Ave crew. I usually like my bars to be a bit more low key. If you are looking to watch a game on a big screen, or run into a bachelorette party, Bull Bar might be for you. I hear they have two-for-one specials on certain weekdays. Good bartenders.
