Brenna, Jacquelyn, Rachel, and I finally got together at this hidden gem for some brunch grubbing this past Sunday. Cheers to the blood orange mimosas that we all had! They were simply delicious. I got the cheese omelette with home fries and the 7 grain toast. There wasn’t anything left on my plate as I enjoyed every bite of it. I would get it again if I went back there for brunch. I always enjoy good times with some of the Unilocaling ladies! :)

I came here on Sunday for brunch with some of my favorite Unilocalers — Brenna R., Patty W. & Rachel M. I was the first to arrive, so I waited by the podium outside for the hostess. After a few minutes, the hostess came out and took us all in. We were seated and greeted by the waitress right away. She recommended their blood orange mimosa special they were having that morning. We all ended up ordering a glass. It tasted great, and went well with the food. I ordered the feta cheese omelet with egg whites, potatoes and challah bread. The food came out within a decent time. It was cooked well and plenty to eat. Once we finished eating, I asked the ladies if they wanted to continue drinking with me.(I sound like the bad influence lush here. eek). Well, Brenna decided to join me on the early liquor endeavors. I ordered a margarita and she wanted a bloody mary. Brenna wasn’t loving the bloody mary(I’ll let her tell that story), and my margarita was okay. I probably could have done without that last drink. Regardless, the food here was good. I would definitely come back for brunch again.

Joined some really cool Unilocalers for Sunday Brunch this past Sunday… First off, kudos on location. I’m loving Downtown Delray more and more! Spoonfed is located right on Atlantic Ave in the midst of al the excitement. The décor, ambiance and vibe of this restaurant is really cool. A modern twist on the classics. We started off with the Blood Orange Mimosas and it was really tasty! I ordered the Spoonfed Breakfast: scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and 7 grain toast! Food was delicious and definitely enough to fill you up. There is a recently renovated full bar so they can put together whatever your heart desires! Definitely adding Spoonfed to my Downtown Delray faves!

I don’t get the bad reviews… I finally got to try the brunch here this weekend and the service was great they messed up my order I didn’t even know they did but they apologized and comped my meal, now that is good service… I think if you have been here and wrote a bad review you should give them another chance cause I have had nothing but great service and good meals here…

After confirming our reservation for 5 outside — we arrived to find out they had no table for us and put the 5 of us at a table for 4. They messed up a salad 3 times. After the salads and soups the entrees took approximately an hour. The food was mediocre at best. Overall it was such a miserable experience that they offered us free desserts. We had enough of Spoonfed so we just left. Never to return.

My 100th review! Yay! I had the best brunch this morning at Spoonfed. This restaurant is stunning and certainly a place I would want to hang out. Our server, Eric, was friendly and very attentive. He suggested to me a free mimosa that they are offering as a holiday special. Uhm. mimosa? free? Yes, please! He brought it out quickly and it was so refreshing. He then brought us free samples of a nut and berry cake as well as a double chocolate chip cake. YUM! I ordered the lobster benedict and my man ordered their corned beef and pastrami hash. I am happy to report that the food was amazing! The lobster was perfectly cooked, there was just enough chive hollandaise sauce(I hate when it is super thick and drenching the entire plate). The bene being served on a croissant instead of an english muffin was a nice touch, too :) Now for the kicker. I am not a corned beef hash kinda girl. I just have always had a thing against it. However — this corned beef and pastrami hash? Superb. I kept eating off of my boyfriend’s plate even with the ridiculously good lobster plate in front of me. The cajun bloody my man ordered was equally as good as everything else. A head manager was walking around and checking on everyone making sure all was well. I left this place feeling so satisfied and loved the service. This is my new favorite brunch spot, hands down. Oh. did I mention that they serve brunch EVERYDAY until 4pm?! Hi, my name is Brenna, and I am the happiest girl ever.

We went for dinner with a few friends from out of town. The waitress took great care of the dietary needs of one of our guests and the meal was fantastic. I highly recommend their homemade pastas, especially the tagliotti.

The good –No one got sick from the food –We managed to not walk out during the middle of the meal because of the terrible service –The pizza was the only item ordered to get positive remarks at a 7 person table. However, the prosciutto pizza tasted like they used ragu for the base. The bad –Severely overcooked sliders. –Desserts were GROSS. They were oversized and virtually flavorless. Too much lard frosting on their Red Velvet cake. I’d rather a petite dessert made with high quality ingredients. –Waiter was basically incompetent and didn’t know the ingredients in the dishes he was selling. –Waiters used our table to place drinks and other items going to their other tables. –Couldn’t keep our waters or drinks full. –Overheard waiters bickering with each other about each other. The ugly –Our table was in a storage area with a bun burner, espresso maker, trash can and ordering station surrounding us(with accompanying noise). –They forgot our 3 appetizers, then told us they would deliver them following the meal and they never did. Then they told us the appetizers would be removed from our bill and they would comp a bottle of wine and some dessert. Our waiter blamed the kitchen(oldest move in the book) for the mistake. –The bill came with 3 appetizers, 4 desserts of course, automatic gratuity. Conclusion The only break I can give this joint is that it was a super busy night. Crappy seating, screwed up food, terrible service and a ruined holiday dinner for our company is what we got(and it wasn’t cheap). Should have gone with my gut and dined at 32East. Never again.

Excellent service… a rarity in South Florida. Great location right on the avenue! Very dog friendly on the outdoor patio area. Disclaimer: I have only had brunch here, so you are on your own for lunch /dinner! The lobster eggs benedict was insane! Huge chunks of lobster over eggs with a silky smooth hollandaise sauce. Best hashbrowns in Delray!

We were excited to try this restaurant but were truly disappointed. We ordered a hamburger medium rare and the server said Medium is the best the kitchen could do because they precook the hamburgers. The crab cakes and portabella tasted the were cooked days ago. I am sorry this restaurant offers such uneatable and unacceptable food.

What a find! Only open a month. Where else can you get fresh made pasta, and dessert… OMG. Trendy atmosphere, fresh flowers on the table, and great service.
