I really enjoyed my Shrimp Po Boy, and the Jalapeño sauce on it was outstanding! The service was kind and the pricing was fair as well for a food truck. It didn’t seem like they had a ton of stuff on their menu however, but I am sure its because its because they focus on what they can make… and I respect that.

My friend and I had the delicious Asia chicken wrap. The truck was at the Hollywood Arts Park on Monday, July 282014. The proceeds from this specific menu were donated to Common Threads.

The first time I happened upon the Rolling Stove, it was parked outside of Funky Buddha for a bottle release party, and there was quite a line. But three menu options caught our eye, and we decided we had to give it a try(yep, totally made that rhyme). Jenn S. and I split the following: chicken tenders, which are breaded with Cap’n Crunch cereal and served with a key lime honey mustard and fries, hand-rolled tater tots, and cronuts(which are not a mainstay on the menu, they were a special). The chicken tenders are served piping hot… and when I say hot, I mean inedible for a few minutes. But once they cooled down a bit, they were delicious. They are a dark golden brown, and the Cap’n Crunch breading isn’t overly sweet. The key lime honey mustard is fantastic, I just wish they gave you a bit more. The tater tots were larger than your usual frozen variety, and were round(hence«hand-rolled»). They were perfectly crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The fries that came with the tenders were forgotten in favor of the tots. It would be nice if you could upgrade your tenders to come with the tots instead. And finally, the cronuts… I had never had a cronut before(I’ve since had a few), and thought it was quite tasty. Now that I’ve had others to compare it to, the cronut from here, while still very yummy, was definitely oilier and heavier than the ones I’ve tried since. Given that cronuts are still a novelty, it’s nice to see a place that offers them, albeit not all the time. I think in terms of quality, Rolling Stove is definitely consistent. I find their prices to be a bit high though… the tater tots were $ 6, and the chicken tenders(with fries) were $ 10. Still, it was good enough that I tried the tenders again last night at the food truck roundup at Arts Park, and they were just as good as before. I’d go back, but I’d like to try some other things next time(for example, Monika K.‘s review mentions a jerk beef empanada that sounds fantastic… except it was most likely a special like so many other things they have).

Pretty quick turn-over considering the lines. I got the jerked chicken which was satisfying. The combination of the jerk, slaw, jalapeño jelly and toasted sesame bun really hit the spot after a few beers. I also tried the Gyro which I do not recommend. Precut frozen meat. The rest of it was alright. The real star though was some sort of fried bacon jalapeño corn bread fritters with a side of honey better. These were amazing and happened to pair perfectly with the honey cream ale. Soft on the inside with a distinctive porky goodness and a nice crisp on the outside. I think it was just a special, but they need to think about keeping it around because it was excellent.

The Sloppy Stove with cheese fries might quite possibly be the greatest thing I have ever tasted! It will change your life!

This truck is fire. I tried it at Coastline Festival and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since. The line was pretty long but they were expedient and the guy at the front had a sense of humor. I had the Jerk BBQ burger. It wasn’t as spicy as I expected but it was amazing. I also tried my friends’ Sloppy Jerk. Oh man. It was so good. Next time I track these people down, I’m definitely having one of those all for myself.

I had the«doughssants» or cronut as they’re not allowed to call it. They seemed to be undercooked as the dough was still well… doughy. Some pieces were fried better than others and I did like the condensed milk on it. But I have never had the original cronut in New York. With that said, if the cronut is anything like what I had here, I really can’t see what the craze is about. They were decent but oily and tasted like fryer oil. I like almost anything sweet. I have yet to try the rolling stove’s main fare so I will leave my mind open to trying them again at another food truck meeting.

Wish it could of been better than what it was. The jerk burger was good and the Philly cheese steak was mediocre.

I get the whole Food Truck movement. It’s a great idea when properly executed. $ 9.00 for a cheeseburger that is not much better than Burger King? Also had to wait 10 minutes for the food. Seriously this cheeseburger was of the same caliber of the food stand at a high school baseball game. Nice try.

Too many great things on the menu to try them all so I went for the brisket sandwich. Glad I did! Extremely tender jerk brisket topped with a crunchy slaw. Found them at the Hollywood Food Truck Invasion — get there early or there will be a line!

I don’t always enjoy a cheeseburger, but when I do, it’s definitely NOT at this food truck. This food truck participates at the Hollywood Food Truck Invasion every Monday during the summer. I went with a few friends, sharing the food we ordered, and hoping to find a foodie’s heaven. Certain food trucks were out of this world! But not The Rolling Stove. I waited at the end of the evening to order a cheeseburger. The man in the truck told me the wait would be 8 minutes, exactly. So I waited. And I waited. I waited some more. And a lot more. Twenty minutes later, I went back to the window to inquire about my food. It was only be a few more minutes, he said. So I waited again. Five minutes later, my number was called. It better be a good burger, I thought. Well, it wasn’t. The meat was juicy, but flavorless. The burger consisted only of a little bit on cheese and raw onions. Nothing else. I thought that such an iconic food truck in the Miami area would be more flavorful. I was very disappointed. Overpriced hamburger. Yes, overpriced, even in the eyes of a New Yorker.

Went to my first food truck gathering last night — Cypress Creek in Pompano Beach, FL. I ordered the Jerk Chicken Sandwich– texas toast w/Jalapeño jelly, cheddar, caramelized onions, slaw. I ordered a small so it did not come with texas toast which was fine because when I got the sandwich it was filling enough. I couldn’t finish because it was a lot for me. I’m glad I have some leftovers for the next morning because the sandwich was awesome. It’s definitly favorful and I love jerk chicken. It was a little messy because of the sauce but they supplied utensil. I highly recommend this sandwich!

I know the concept of food truck roundups are to get a little something from each truck, or at least try different trucks each time you partake in one of these awesome rendezvous of goodness on wheels. However, I keep finding myself patronizing the rolling stove, not even so much as glancing at the menus of other trucks. My favorite is the chicken crisper sandwich. Cap’n crunch breaded chicken(don’t say«ew gross,» its ah-mazing), cheese, sauteed onions and cole slaw. Now let me just say that when I have the option to either add or eliminate onions from a dish, I usually elimiate– not a big fan. Oh, and cole slaw– hate it. But when I first ordered this sandwich, I figured that each element was there for a reason and removing one of these might throw off the flavor. I am sure glad I ate it as it’s served, because it is sooooooo goooooood. Messy, extremely messy but oh so heavenly when it hits your lips. Their fries are great too. Seasoned nicely and crunchy. I did get cheese fries before and where typically adding cheese to some plain ol’ fries is akin to adding red lipstick to a pale face, I actually preferred fries from the Rolling Stove sans cheese. It was just way too savory and an overwhelming flavor. My sister had a chipotle burger and said it was great. When it was served to her, she was told it was a brisket burger, and she said you could really tell the difference and that the meat was delicious. My favorite food truck by far!

It’s a really good thing this truck is based in Broward or else I’d be in serious trouble! Who thinks of crusting their chicken in Captain Crunch cereal and sticking it in between 2 Texas toast and adding some kick ass coleslaw with it? oh yea, the Rolling Stove, genius! It was truly love at first bite! just. so. damn. good. I have also tried and love their jerk chicken sandwich. It has just the right amount of kick and can get hella messy… hell yea. I’m also a fan of their cheese fries and mac and cheese. Both super yummy and cheesy! If you happen to catch them, make sure to try that captain crunch chicken sandwich, you’ll thank me later.

I have no idea why I have never tried this truck before. I mean who wouldn’t be drawn to a giant stove on wheels complete with smokestack reaching for the sky and an over-sized Tabasco bottle hanging on the back. Well since Rolling Stove was voted best Burger on a food truck by Eater I had to see what all of the fuss was about. I almost deviated from my mission as there was a jerk pork belly sandwich special available(mmmmmm pork belly), but I steadfastly pursued my mission of checking out the burger. I opted for a blue cheese burger less mayo and a side of fries. All I have to say is WOW!!! The burger was extremely juicy and flavorful — melt in your mouth good. The melted blue cheese just brought the flavor over the top. The buns are from a local bakery, are pillowy soft, and delicious. I can definitely see what Burger Beast and Eater were talking about. This burger is AWESOME, and for only $ 8! I would eat this burger over any overpriced«upscale» burgers any day. If that wasn’t enough, the hand cut fries were also incredible. They were well seasoned, crispy, and delicious. One order is plenty to share for 2 people. I will have to come back to sample the jerk pork belly, hopefully the special is there the next time. All hail the Rolling Stove!

Rolling Stove isn’t my favorite food truck, but they do have some interesting things on their menu that set them apart from a lot of the other trucks. I had this chicken biscuit with grilled onions and coleslaw from there once and it was awesome. I took off half of the onions because it was loaded with them, but the slaw and crispy chicken mixed with the soft biscuit was delightful. Really good comfort food. I’ve also had these mac & cheese pancakes that they have. They were good and gooey with cheese, but the best part was the crispy outside. The actual mac & cheese on the inside had great texture, but lacked a lot of flavor. It didn’t even have that sharp taste of cheese. The staff hasn’t been super friendly any of the times that I’ve gone, but I like their menu, so I’ll be back when I’m craving a twist on comfort food.

I’m honestly glad this truck is in Broward. It’s pure trouble. First timer, so I went w/their recommendation of the jerk chicken sandwich(6.95) and ron’s bites(seasoned potato wedges w/nacho cheese)(3.25). The sandwich held surprisingly well, but grab a fork just in case. Seasoned pulled chicken smothered by onion in jerk bbq sauce on thick texas toast(lightly grilled). I opted for no chedder as the potato wedges were exploding w/enough cheddar cheese to meet my monthy quota. Both are massive and can easily be for two,. unless one is me. Follow @TheRollingStove for locations.

WOW! Thank you, thank you, thank you Burger Beast for getting this truck down to Miami for the Fall for the Arts Festival!!! I’ve been following them on FB since their inception earlier this year, thanks to the aforementioned Burger Beast, and have been itching to try them but just haven’t been able to make the drive up north. Now that I know how good it is, there may be a field trip in my near future. All I had was the Jerk Chicken Sandwich, but it was enough to make me an immediate fan. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked, not dry or bland like chicken can so often be. The fried onions added a nice sweet and savory touch and the Texas toast… MMMmmmMMM, perfectly buttered and toasted. Gotta LOVE a place that makes sandwiches with Texas toast. I ordered it without coleslaw cause I’m not really a slaw kinda gal. Man, I wish this truck was closer cause I would be out there at least once a week. Actually, it’s probably good for my waist line that they aren’t that close…

The Jerk Chicken Sandwich was phenomenal I decided to try this since most of the other food trucks are accessible to me down in the bottom The plan was to get some food from as many trucks as possible before blowing up Our plan failed since the lines were crazy The moral of the story I regret not ordering two chicken sandwiches and some of their potato skins that sounded delicious
