Very poor experience at this store during this visit. But what made this poor experience worse was the checkout. The girl ran my credit card and the transaction went through and halfway through the receipt stopped printing. I waited 15 minutes for her to try to figure out the problem. She finally had to get her manager involved. Then After another 15 minutes the manager said that the receipt will not print because the transaction did not go through. I was out of time to argue as I was now late for an engagement. They reran my card and printed a new receipt. Later that evening I pulled my credit card statement and they DID change me twice for my one purchase. They swore that there was only going to be one charge. Now I have the inconvenience of having to go back and dispute the second charge. Who has time for these childish mistakes?

I love this store. They have done such a great job with the renovations and their products are great now. People are always friendly here and I don’t have to waste my time standing in lines. I’ll be a customer for life!

Going through renovations seems to be status quo for JCP. Every time I go into one, they seem to be either reinventing themselves or remodeling. This time was remolding, and there was a smell of paint in the air throughout the store along with a bunch of half empty rows of product and a chaotic flow of traffic inside and out.
