There’s only one sub shop in Denton as far as I’m concerned, and it’s this one. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had a brief love affair with Which Which, I dabbled in New York Sub Hub in college, and I had a short-term relationship with Schlotzsky’s, but I always came home to Mike’s. The store is always clean, the service is always impeccable, and the subs are consistently on-point. I have 0 criticisms of this place. It’s run the way I would want my restaurant to be run. Hail Jersey Mike’s, the best sub shop in Denton.

Quite disappointing and underwhelming. I could not say this is even a notch above the standard and keep a strait face. Was going to go there a third time –only– because it was next to my workplace, but one of the servers was so pushy and rude… and guess what? I ended up having to deal with him ALLTHREE times–«Ok, you want extra cheese. is that a yes, or a no?»…“Ok.what else you know what you want on there… you want lettuce… yes or no?” For some reason he was surprised when I said«no, actually, I don’t want anything at all on there. Then I walked out. Oh well, it sounded interesting, with a name like Jersey Mike’s…but in Jersey, I guess all the subs are extremely average.

Sandwiches are always good. But it the service that keep me going back. They take clean, they friendly, and help find a new sandwiches to try. Keep up the great job.

Turkey Bacon Sub was really good. Not to die for, but satisfying. I’d go back for sure.

Their sandwiches are great! Service is great as well. I’ve only gone a couple times, but will stop by whenever I’m close and super hungry.

The best subs in Texas. They remind me of the hoagies you get in New York and Chicago.

I know people love the subs done ‘Mike’s way’, but to me I couldn’t even taste the sandwich because it was drowning in sauce. And for what they charge, no thanks.

Really fun staff and seriously tasty sandwich, ordered the Club Supreme, «Mike’s Way»(whatever that is) and as these things go, gave my money to a nice tattooed man and magically got a fantastic sandwich that I loved!

There is nothing like a good Jersey sub. Being from there, I know a good sub sandwich. There’s a little place in Edison, NJ that is the high standard. Tastee Subs. So good that our president visited it when he was campaigning through New Jersey. So, I said, high standards. Jersey Mikes is a chain that seems to be expanding rapidly, and I have been to several. Denton, Plano, Fort Worth, Richardson and Frisco are just a few of the local shops. Freshly baked bread is a good start. White or wheat are listed but they have a rosemary cheese bread as well, if you ask about it. Good quality meats and cheeses make it better. They have hot and cold subs, wraps and salads. «Mike’s Way» is with lettuce, tomato, onions, oil & vinegar and seasonings. But for an added bonus they added hot cherry pepper relish to the list of condiments a year ago and totally makes it a Jersey sub. Go there. Now. Shoot, I want one now… Oh, and the best first sub to have is their roast beef. They make it in-house and it is beautiful and pink. Enjoy.

I am originally from NJ. Never had been to a Jersey Mike’s when I lived there. Funny. Now I’ve been to one in Texas. That is a bit strange. I wanted to take a sandwich with me on the airplane for my trip home. This is the closest I have gotten to a Tastee Sub(Edison, NJ) since the last time I had a Tastee Sub. This is a good simple sandwich. I like my sandwiches simple. Your best bet might be to get the Roast Beef. They make it on the premises. That is what I got. If you get it Mike’s way it comes with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, vinegar, oil and spices. This is how they would make it for you in a sub shop in NJ. None of that mayo crap here(although they probably have mayo). They will also add hot peppers and bacon if you would like. I opted to not get either of those. I actually didn’t even eat this sandwich until the next day. It survived a flight from Dallas/Ft Worth to Phoenix and from there onto Portland, OR. When I took it out for lunch the next day the bread was soggy from the oil and vinegar and that was a very good thing. Taking my first bite took me right back to my favorite NJ sub shop which I talked about earlier. This sandwich is not as large as the one you will get there, but equally as good. As far as chains go, this one isn’t half bad.

This place has just recently opened up here and to be honest i could care less! That’s only because i’m not a sub kind of guy. I was giving a card to get a free sub, so i decided to try it out and was amazed at what i tasted! Please note that of the three times i have been there i’ve only had the Philly cheese steak regular. Amazing, simply amazing! You would think a philly cheese steak would be easy to make, but i can’t find anywhere in texas where it’s actually good until now. This place really has nothing special going on. It’s just another sub shop that uses fresh meats and cheeses, but you can find other places that do that as well. I’ll have to try a regular sub one day so i can actually compare to other places, but it’s so hard to do that when the philly is soooo good. Imma give this place 4 out of 5, because the philly is really that good, but this shop really has nothing great to offer out of the normal. The prices do sit a little bit higher, but i don’t think they are all that bad.

Love this place! bread is so fresh, cheese steaks rock(and I grew up in philly), and mikes way is the only way. You get what you pay for to the other reviews, and I don’t agree. Can’t get out of mcdonalds these days for less then $ 6

About time that the Loop 288 area gets a «good» sub shop! These guys make a great tasting sandwich and option wise they have everything that I need:) The thing that sold me on this place was their Meatball… mmm. mmm, it was the best meatball sub I have had in a long time. The guy that runs the place is very professional and courteous and I never feel like I am being rushed, even when they are crazy busy. they have made quite a few fans here where I work in Denton and we will be frequent flyer’s submariners;) make sure you order your sub«Mike’s Way»!

A nice addition to the Loop, this sub shop touts its top quality ingredients… and it delivers, but with prices to match. Expect to pay about $ 7 or so for, roughly, 10 inches of soft bread filled with tasty meats(sliced after you order) and cheeses. For those who love options, Jersey Mike’s might disappoint as its toppings are limited to onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and a few sauces. But if the basics are all you need, check out Jersey Mike’s, I give it about 3.5 stars.
