Very good, friendly staff, but the food was extremely underwhelming. Unfortunately it seems like they cheaped out on the ingredients because there was nothing wrong w the way my bagel sandwich was cooked… it just wasn’t very good. On top of that(unless I missed the dedicated jug), all coffee comes from the same taps, so if you want iced coffee, be prepared to water down hot coffee with a ton of ice.

Blueberry Lemonade Bundt Cake was orgasmic. Will be back very soon. Keep up the great baking!

Most reviews look good for this place, so we must have hit it at the wrong time. Most tables were not cleared, 3 of their self serve coffees were empty. They did not have those little cardboard coozies(had to go ask for one) and they gave my kid the wrong bathroom code. I walked by a Starbucks to support what I thought to be a local coffee bar, but no way owner was around for this place to be in running this way.

The best part about this Starbucks’ wannabe is the atmosphere. It is casual, and my wife and I loved seeing two elderly men enjoying a friendly game of chess next to us. Even though prices are comparable with surrounding businesses, the food detracts significantly from the rest of the experience. I was disappointed in the chicken pesto sandwich, and my wife gave the Mac and three cheese a solid ‘Meh’. Overall, ok, but we will not be returning regulars.

It was a great idea to get hot chocolate after ice skating, but the staff wasn’t especially nice, didn’t hear up the«hot» chocolate much and even messed up my order.

Horrible place — they need to get rid of the staff — horrible horrible — pancakes where burnt. Avoid at all cost — Safer bet just walk down to Starbucks:

Poor service, way too expensive, horrible food. I would skip it at all cost. Wait time is unacceptable. The only thing this business is got going is location.

The coffee is Meh. The service is Meh. Unless you like salsa with your oatmeal it was gross. I told a person at the counter that I had salsa on my oatmeal and all he could do was say sorry. Guess customer service is something they don’t feel is important.

Visiting Denver. Walked a few blocks from my hotel looking for breakfast. While ordering at the counter a customer was seeking a refund for adding cheese to her meal as she cannot eat dairy. Manger barely looked at her and seemed irritated. I got my order number for the table and waited. My soy late arrived luke warm. Then I waited 15 minutes for my avocado and spinach flat bread and steel cut oatmeal. One of the staff finally asked me if I was«still waiting for my food» as I sat patiently at obviously empty table. She brought it over a few minutes later. Sandwich was a 4 out of 10 and oatmeal was bland.

Horrible management– dirty tables, ice cold hot tea, Ruben was cold and not even served assembled. Epic fail. Never make your customers work harder than the employees.

Being from DC, I didn’t realize it was overpriced until I really thought about it. The prices are the same as back home. Yes, it’s probably a little high for a sandwich, but the paninis are really good, as are the soups(especially butternut squash!). I liked most of the staff — they are pretty laid back and will try to accommodate your requests as best they can. Overall, a good breakfast/lunch place.

This place made me feel very welcome and comfortable. The staff seem very kind. One guy even joked with me when I was looking for a place to return my plate. «Are you going to wash and dry it in the back, too?» He asked. Apparently they collect your plates from the table. Food is delicious. I got the bacon and cheddar panini and hazelnut cream coffee. Nicely priced and very good. I’d be a regular if I lived here!

I enjoy coming in for breakfast and typically order one of the scramblers and sub the fruit and potato side with steel cut oatmeal instead. The place is always really clean and I enjoy the friendly staff, I always receive excellent customer service.

The staff here is composed of some of the nicest people you will ever meet! We came in for breakfast on Saturday 5⁄24 and had a great experience. The staff was so friendly and joking around with all the customers. The omelette I ordered was excellent. It was also very convenient because it was literally less than a block away from our hotel. Thanks for a good brunch Corner Bakery!

Food quality: 4, portions and flavor was on the higher side of most cafés Beverage quality: 3, coffee was poor for a bakery/café, but variety was good Speed of service: 3, looked like they were going as fast as they could, but they could have used another staff member to be more operationally efficient. Cleanliness/general ambiance: 4, would have been a 5 if the layout made more sense on where to stand while waiting for your order.

I almost gave a lesser score, but you know what? Their baked items are really good, you know why? Because they are a bakery. I don’t understand why people go to a bakery and order lunch food. Just because they offer it doesn’t mean you should order it. Get a frickin’ lemon bar, okay? Go here and order dessert ‘to go’ and then go sit outside at skyline park and enjoy people watching with a cup o’ coffee. That is the way to enjoy this establishments’ best offerings.

Yet another downtown restaurant that thinks being overpriced and trendy is the equivalent of offering solid, quality food. It’s also a chain, which speaks volumes about Denver’s lack of originality or diversity. While nothing here is bad, per se, it’s far from great and horrifically overpriced for what you get, even by downtown standards. Once upon a time, I worked downtown and would occasionally go here, always forgetting how overwhelmingly mediocre it was the previous time. For whatever reason, while spending a weekend downtown, I decided to wander back. More than $ 10 for a meh panini sandwich and *small* lemonade is really shocking, especially as the sandwich came with nothing more than a bag of chips and a pickle. NOW I remember why I quit going to this place when I worked just a few blocks away. There are far better and more reasonably priced bakeries /sandwich shops in the area. For that matter, I’ve had better food from many of the downtown street vendors. If you’re wanting to look cute and be seen by the masses while enjoying a simple but overpriced breakfast or lunch, by all means, you’ll fit in beautifully at the Corner Bakery Café. If you’re wanting solidly good food at solidly good prices, wander on, my good sir, and don’t conform to anyone’s expectations. You deserve better.

Occasion: Lunch. Time of Day: 12pm. On my first day of work, a few of the other newbies and I decided to get to know each other over a nice hot meal. With the brisk wind blowing outside, Corner Bakery made for the perfect soup and sandwich lunch spot! I love that they offer comb meals. More often than not, I crave soup and salads or soup and a fresh sammie, so this meal did not disappoint. I ordered the tomato basil soup with the chicken poblano fresco sammie, and mmmmm! Fresh. Delicious. Quick. Right across the street from me! I’ll most def return!
