Great little food shop, absolutely loved the selection of off the beaten path wines. Definitely will be back.

If you read my Fine Foods review, this will be a shock. This is pretty much the premium liquor, beer, and wine store uptown, barring none. If you want 120m IPA, there are only two places nearby to get it: Argonaut and Marczyk. Argonaut will sell out in a day. Marczyk will have it. Same goes for all awesome rare beer I’ve noticed so far. They do specialize in higher end liquors, but they also carry totally reasonably priced spirits. Their wines are in line with local retailers and they have an on-staff person who’s decent(as far as I know) at recommending wines for you. If you are looking for rare beer or modest liquor, visit here! Wine, I can only imagine — their selection is good and so is the staff. Check this place out. :)

Absolutely love this place! I tell everyone this is where I go to get my absolute favorite Pinot Noir, Toschi, for only $ 9.99! It really is unheard of to find a GOOD Pinot Noir for under $ 10 — and believe me I have tried. The wine shop itself is quite small but the selection is fantastic. The location is convenient being that I live only a couple miles away but the other thing that keeps me coming back is the Friday night wine tastings! I am reluctant to encourage even more people to come out for this but they always have four different wines to taste paired with four different cheeses. And you know Marczyk’s has amazing cheeses, right? Also, some baguette bread to cleanse the palate! It’s a great way to kick off the weekend and discover a new wine to take home. And lastly, to reiterate what other reviewers have mentioned — Elisabeth is really great and will offer suggestions but is not pushy.

There are a couple of things that I like about Marczyk Fine Wines. 1)Helpful, knowledgeable staff. It is a small wine shop, but the staff is very well trained and knowledgeable, and friendly. I especially like Elisabeth, who REALLY knows their wine and makes great suggestions. 2)Discounts on 3 bottles, 6 bottles or a case. You can already get reasonably priced wine at Marczyk, but I really like it that they give discounts by quantity. 3)The grocery side has good(if a bit pricey) meat and cheese departments, in case you need something to go with that wine.

This is one of my favorite little wine shops in town. The selection is surprisingly large for how small the space is, and I really like the way they organize the bottles, doing both region and varietal. However, the best thing by far about this shop is the pricing. For how expensive the grocery next door is, I had assumed this wine shop would have crazy expensive bottles, but they actually have more affordable selections than Argonaut. I have been pleasently surprised to find bottles that I couldn’t find anywhere else, and for very low prices. The shop also has plently of spirits and beer, also for very resonable prices. The only downside for me is the service. I have never been approached by anyone asking if I needed suggestions or had any questions. The same gentleman has been there both times and even at the register there is no chit-chat or even a smile. He just seems frustrated. Maybe it was just the days I have gone in… Otherwise I highly recommend this wine shop, no matter what kind of wine one is looking for, this shop is sure to deliver.

Yo, they get it– that’s all there is. The recommendations are always on point, and you’re never hassled, you know? Like when you walk in a retail store and they’re bumrushin’ you at the gate ‘cuz they watched some ridiculous training video on ‘Meeting, Greeting, & Selling Up,’ and you just want them to take a step back and let you look around first? Right? These ladies are stellar– Uptown and Colfax(and the gentleman at this latter location).

I love this wine shop. It is a little deceiving because it is connected to the food store(which is expensive). The prices are really reasonable here! They curate an excellent selection of wines and have amazing tastings on Fridays(with yummy cheese parings). To top it all off the staff is really knowledgeable.

How in the world have I not written a review on Marczyk Fine Wines?! I love this little wine shop located in the back of Marczyk’s. They have some wonderful and affordable wines. Go ahead and ask for a little assistance because the gals that work in this store are happy to direct you toward a bottle you have probably never tried and that you will not soon want to forget. Some bonuses to this little shop: 1. They have free wine tastings on Friday. Why would you not be here for free wine and burger night? 2. If you«friend» them on Facebook, you can win $ 10.00 gift cards once or twice a week. Why pay for that new bottle of wine when you could win it?

«The Best Wine You’ve Never Heard Of». This phrase sums it up. The people who work there, especially Elizabeth(my fav) and Mary are very knowledgeable. I love being able to walk in and tell them what I am having for dinner and trust they will suggest the best pairing. Most of the wines I purchase are $ 9 – 15 and worth every penny! They also have a small beer and liquor selection. Try their free wine tastings on Friday, but beware… it’s hard to walk out with fewer than 3 bottles!

2012 Review #30: As much as I like the idea of Marczyk fine foods, I also know that if I wanted to get a lot of what they sell, I could go elsewhere to get a similar product for cheaper, though not necessarily better. However, at Marczyk Fine Wines, I feel that I can come in and get a great product and not have to spend very much either. I have browsed here a few times, and purchased something once. I love that they have cards on some of the wines listing foods they go with, because they are very specific. Instead of saying«beef» it’ll say«bacon wrapped fillet,» or «juicy burger» or «beef fajitas.» I love that they make it easy to tailor to your menu. I do wish, though, that they had those suggestions on every wine, though I know that’s not always feasible. They also have, on some wines, a little«meter» of how bold, acidic, or tannic a wine is. Although it is not on every wine either, it’s a nice way of looking at a wine and figuring out what I like and don’t like. I can’t really figure out how the wines are organized here– geography? grape? I’m not sure. I do know, though, that probably 90% of the wines here are really reasonable. Cheap even. We ended up going with a bottle under $ 10(there are a lot here right around $ 10) that fit our tastes and it did not disappoint. They also offer hard liquors, sake, and beer. Although they don’t have a Unilocal check-in deal or anything, they will give you 10% off if you like them on facebook. Overall, since Colorado still makes buying groceries and wine so inconvenient, it’s great to have a specialty liquor store attached to a specialty grocery store. Their visions are in sync, their products are in sync, and the prices are very reasonable.
