Step one: sip on some bubbly(pink, please!) and munching on delicious noms from Jezebel’s for a stellar start. Step two: have someone else wash and style your hair.(I opted for curls because I’m always too lazy to attempt the«beachy waves» do.) Step three: leave with a goody bag. How can this event be less than great? All of the staff at Clementine’s were so friendly and helpful, and Frances G. was great as usual. Thanks for hosting this wonderful event, Clementine’s! The next time I want to color my hair(which may be soooooon), I’m coming to you.

Is there anything better than someone washing your hair? If your hair is styled afterward AND you get nice-smelling, fancy presents, then YES! I had a great time at this event. It was relaxing, made me look better than when I walked in, tasty food… and I always love a photobooth(shout out to Alissa R!). Thank you to Frances for putting this together(and those little milk carton gift boxes — too cute!), Clementines for hosting(I’m coming back!), Jezebels(I need to visit you), and Chipper(I LOVE my pics).

What a fun idea! Getting pampered and eating delicious BBQs. If it wasn’t because I already had a drink before I went there, I probably would accept a glass of wine. I got my hair washed by a lovely stylist. Even though I was her last client, she didn’t skip on any steps. She and I chatted about our lives and work while she did a great job shampooing and blow-drying my hair. Afterwards my hair was so smooth and soft. And then before I left, I got to pick up a little gift bag from the salon and Unilocal. It’s an A+ experience.

I had a Unilocaly day this past weekend. First, a few lucky Elite women were invited to get pampered at Clementine’s. A super cute salon in the Highlands, with plenty of street and private lot parking.(Later, I went to ANOTHER Unilocal event in HR. So much to do, so little time). Upon approach, Frances welcomed us and let us know we had parting gifts(what?) and that there was wine, beer, and champagne available to go with our yummy apps from Jezebel’s next door. Roasted brussels with julienned green apples and lots of shaved parm, jerk pork ribs, and jerk chicken wings. It was all super tasty, but it was a bit on the warm side for me to really dig in. Ok. Onto the real show. I chatted with salon managers/hostesses while waiting for my turn. They were very knowledgable about product(they carry all the Bumble and Bumble, I think) and let me sample the dry shampoos I was interested in. I appreciated the honesty that the non-aerosol version would give me more bang for my buck. Then, Sarah came and grabbed me. She used shampoo and conditioner she thought would be best for my hair. Who doesn’t love getting their hair washed by someone else? Here in the USA, it’s a real treat. Then, we agreed on a cute/fun/casual hairstyle.(You see I’m Asian, right? My hair doesn’t need straightening. She blew it out, then added some waves for fun.). My friends that I met up with later couldn’t stop commenting how cute the style was on me. THANKS, SARAH! To top it off, we were given our Unilocal gift bags(cute little hairbrush and a Unilocal can opener) AND a gift bag from Clementine’s. With three samples of scrubs/product and a not sample but not full size B&B thickening hair spray. AWESOME. Thanks, as always, to the entire salon, esp Sarah! And of course, big shout out to Frances for always thinking of awesome events for us Yeeps! Edited because I used«first» eleventy billion times. And too many«thens.» Proofread much?

This event was super fun, and something a lil’ different from the usual noshing /drinking /mingling. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but this one peppered in some pampering to boot! There’s something a little therapeutic about having my hair washed at the salon, and it’s amazing what a little different styling can do for one’s hair, and overall look, even. My stylist, Abby, asked a few basic questions about my hair, what one thing I would change about it if I could(seriously tough question! So many answers to choose!), then got to it. I had lovely wash, then she did a basic blow-out. Basic, but it really did do wonders for me when she was done. I especially liked that we got a few little samples, and the little goody box from Unilocal! On top of that, no one seemed overly pressuring on pushing product(how you like that alliteration??), which can always be a little awkward in situations like this. Instead, they were informative about what they used, and what its purpose was. Helpful, but no guilt tripping into buying anything. Afterwards there were glamour shots galore in the Chipper Booth! I had a hot date of carbo-loading with The Dude at home, so best to get that fancy hair action in picture form! Fun props, as usual, and the three photo styles to choose from make it different and entertaining every time. And while I did not imbibe on this day, nor sample the bites available, the generosity was much appreciated. Thanks to Frances(who I didn’t even recognize at first with straight hair!), Clementines, Jezebel’s, and Chipper Booth for giving a little pizazz and style to a Saturday afternoon.

Wowzers, this was so much fun! I loved being greeted by the lovely Frances G., especially so when she is offering to pour me a glass of bubbly! I liked that we were encouraged to come before and or stay after our appt time was over, to enjoy some drinks and tasty food from Jezebel’s(some yummy wings, rib tips, and tasty brussel sprouts), and of course to mingle with fellow awesome elite ladies! Chipper Booth was there for some super fun picture taking time to show off our lovely before and after tresses, and what lovely dos we had! Sarah took care of me, giving me a great shampoo, conditioning, and a wonderful scalp massage. She was very friendly and was a complete pro with hair. She even offered to cut my bangs, like a year over-due for me, awesome. My hair really looked and felt great. Thanks Sarah, I’ll be back to see you! They left us with a great gift bag, a full bottle of bumble and bumble hair spray, some great samples, and a 20% off coupon, this was so cool. On top of all this wonderful fun, there was a personalized little gift box for each of us from our super cool CM Thanks Frances G, Chipper Booth, Jezebel’s, and all of the lovely stylists at Clemetines.

A fun gathering and a relaxing way to be pampered after a very stressful week. Walking up there was a table with pink and white decorations and a bucket of bubbly. There were also cute gift boxes that Frances put together with individual name tags — a nice touch. Once inside there was a selection of wine and beer and some delish nibbles from Jezebel’s — jerk wings, dry rubbed spareribs and the most amazing brussel sprouts! The staff at Clementines are super, duper nice. They were welcoming and friendly and really took the time to chat. My stylist, Anara, was«the bee’s knees»! She gave me a head massage with lavender infused oil followed by a relaxing shampoo and blow dry. She was a real sweetheart and did a great job with my unruly mop of hair. As if that wasn’t enough — the fine folks at Clementines sent us off with a swag bag with some great samples including a generous sized Bumble and Bumble product. Chipper Booth was on hand too! A big thanks to all involved and a thanks and shout out to Cheryl L. who kindly swapped appointments with me so I could still have my hair coiffed before heading to a work function.
