Just had lunch here. As we were leaving one of the servers advised that I should leave a tip. First of all, she wasn’t even our server. Second of all, I’m not new to the world, I know how tipping works. And she didn’t know who was paying and whether we left a tip yet. Because she WASNOTOURSERVER. Why the hell would you tell a table that’s not even yours to leave a tip? And why would you ever TELL anyone to leave a tip? That’s the last time I’ll be eating here. The food isn’t worth it.

Their food is good any everything but I’m so pissed off rn. I ordered take out 30 min before I got there and I still had to wait more time when I got there while a normal rate of serving would be 10 – 20 min. I was fine with that bc sometimes it can get busy. (But there was only like 6 tables eating.) Then when I got the food I asked for the side dishes and the waitress annoyed, dismissively(and in a rude manner) said its in there(the box). I was like Oooookay then. And I left but on the car I realized there was no side dishes. NONEATALL. This ruined my day THANKSALOT. To a foodie having everything is important. If she just forgot the side dishes I would of been like oh… Ookay then. But she had horrible attitude too. That waitress sucked.

(Based on 2.5 stars) Located in the same plaza as Hannam Chain Market World and Goodwill(specifically between Goodwill and Paris Baguette). I came by this restaurant with my family for dinner yesterday at 6:15 pm for our 6:30 pm reservation. About 2 weeks ago, I made a reservation on the phone for a party of 4. Then had to add 2 more people a week later to my existing reservation without any problem. When we came in, our table was already ready with a reservation sign. After browsing the menu, some of the items that were ordered included: Complementary Banchan– 7 different dishes were offered. I liked the broccoli, tofu strips and noodles the best. Because we had a table of 6, we were served 2 of each banchan so that 3 people could have their own and not have to share with the rest of the group. I really appreciate that they did this. Seafood Pancake, $ 15.99 prior to tax– Tasty and crunchy. My mom and cousin referred to this as a pizza. I liked the seafood pancake, but it was oily though. The flavors of the egg and seafood really went well together. But I did have a piece of hair in my food(gross!). Spicy Pork and Soft Tofu Soup Combination Dinner, $ 14.99 prior to tax– My husband ordered this combination dinner with the oyster tofu soup. I did not have any of his food but he did like it. The amount of spicy pork that came with this entrée was more than plenty. Mushroom Soft Tofu Soup, $ 9.99 prior to tax– All I wanted was the tofu soup since I knew I would be eating the seafood pancake and the banchan. I ordered this mild, but it still had a little bit of spicy-ness to it(but mixed with rice, it helped to lessen it for this non spicy eater). I thought this was made well. I wished there were more mushrooms in this though. Spicy Octopus Rice in Hot Pot, $ 14.99 prior to tax– My sister in law ordered this medium spicy. I thought it was a little on the spicy side, but it was good. The chewiness of the octopus was good and the rice was flavorful. This entrée is an excellent portion to share among 2 – 4 people easily. BBQ Beef Ribs and Soft Tofu Soup Combination Dinner, $ 18.99 prior to tax– My brother ordered this with the mushroom soft tofu soup(just like the one I had). His tofu soup was burnt though. You could immediately taste that burnt taste from the first bite(mine did not have this). When we told the server, she did nothing about it other than to offer another one. My brother was already getting full from all the food so he declined. They did not take this off the bill. The beef ribs were fine and not burnt. BBQ Beef Ribs and Soft Tofu Soup Combination Dinner, $ 18.99 prior to tax– My cousin ordered this combination as well and liked her food. I did not try any of her food but she was happy with her choice. Her tofu soup was not burnt like my brother’s. Grilled Yellow Croaker and Soft Tofu Soup Combination Dinner, $ 16.99 prior to tax– My mom ordered this combination dinner because she wanted the yellow fish. This fish is good, but just has a lot of bones(too much work for me, not worth ordering because of it). She enjoyed her tofu soup(also not burnt). — — — — — — — — - (Total= ~$ 122 after tax, prior to tip) Service was just okay. We were asked if we wanted hot tea when we first sat down but was only given 5 and not 6(but not a big deal because I did not want any). Our tea was refilled 2 times during our meal. But we were rather annoyed when we were done with our meal. My mom got up and asked a server for 7 to go containers and 2 containers to take home soup. The server brought us 2 containers for soup and only 5 to go containers. When asked for a few more, she told my sister in law in Korean to just combine/consolidate our food into those containers(so basically not going to get any more). That was pretty annoying and really lame. We are a party of 6, going back to our homes. How can 3 different families combine all the leftovers when we want to bring home our own leftovers to our own home? Why were they being so stingy about these containers? If you decide to eat here in the future, you are better off bringing your own containers so you can actually bring home all of your leftovers. By the way, I thought it was funny to see that the hand soap in the women’s restroom was in a Sriracha bottle(Asian people, lol). I hope it was cleaned before the soap was poured into it and hope it was clean when I squeezed out an amount of soap to wash my hands last night before eating dinner and after using the restroom.

Nice lil krn joint. I was drawn to this place because it had more than your standard tofu soup and bbq. Food: Napa Cabbage w/smoked pork: This is one of their specialty items. I didnt know exactly the best way to eat it so i asked the waitress and they were really nice and gave me tips lol. I probably wouldnt get it again but it was def solid. Beef Tofu soup: slightly on the blander side. Not bad but not great. Spicy buckwheat noodles: I felt this was the best dish for me. Noodle texture was nice and chewy. Flavor was good. Chicken Ginseng soup: This was very good as well. Not super mediciny and texture was like a porridge. I would get this again. All in all, i feel everything was made pretty well and service was really great. I wanted to try the pork stew, but they ran out so ill hafta save a trip back here for next time im around.

Oh man, the chicken soup is amazing! I had a stomach ache late on a cold night and wanted something hot to eat but wasn’t too hungry. It dawned on me to to try Il Poom. I’ve eaten here before and I remember liking it but I ordered to go this time and didn’t have any expectations. My order was up in under 5 minutes and I went on my way home to eat it in my pj’s for maximum comfort and upon opening my bag I found my soup completely sealed up(heat sealed) in a soup container. Nice touch! I was concerned of it spilling on the drive home but I didn’t need to be in the least. It came with kimchee, radish, and cucumber ban chan. The soup broth was full flavored and still hot. The soup comes with a full game hen(small chicken??) stuffed with lightly flavored rice and dates. Its supposed to be a healthy enriched meal for the body.(I believe there is one geared more for men and another geared more for women) It was the best meal I could have had that night and I will definitely be eating this again very soon. Plus I have no qualms of take out but would be down to dine in as well. A plus in my book. Why the 5th star? I don’t know anyone else that makes this amazing soup!

Great place getting number 2 lunch special traditional Korean ginseng chicken. The inside of the chicken has rice and it pretty much taste like a chicken porridge. I like this soup as well because I feel like when I do get sick this brings me back to life. During lunch hour they do have quite a bit of customers but didn’t have to wait in line or anything. Service is also pretty good and the ladies are very nice. Enjoyed the meal here as it was my first time at this place. I’ve had this soup at other Korean places and I think it’s also pretty healthy. If you want there is a side of salt that you can add to the broth to make it more flavorful but most of the time I just eat it as how it comes to you.

Food review: Their chicken soup was really gooddddd! Yummy!!!:) but their kalbi tasted very bland… Lol… I think this place might be only good with chicken soup. but hey… That’s good enough for me: P Service: it was okay. Not great… I waited like 15min to be seated and there were like three tables opened… It just took forever for them to clean it up. –1 star for being understaffed
