The place is pretty relaxing. It is kind of sad, but this is one of the only coffee houses that I can do homework without hearing obnoxiously loud people and music.

So I am a fairly busy student and the work at times can get dreadful. I am also a HUGE coffee person and I am quite picky about the way I like my coffee. This place fits the bill perfectly. It’s a nice, small coffee shop that can certainly offer quite a lot in terms of their menu. If you’re tired of getting Starbucks all the time, this coffee shop is a nice change of pace. I come here a few days every week to get work done, and let me tell you, you will absolutely get your work done here. The environment is perfect and provides a calm atmosphere with the music quietly playing in the background. The chairs are quite comfy and there is a fireplace in the corner of the shop. Trust me, if you’re struggling to read a book or finish that essay that you’ve procrastinated on, come here and give it a try. The drinks they serve here are pretty good and the workers are very friendly and helpful. So far my favourite drinks are the Triple White Mocha and the Passion Fruit tea. My only gripe so far is how the tables can be a little dirty. I think they can be wiped a bit more frequently, but I’m only nitpicking here. I would definitely continue to come here and I recommend that you try this place out. It’s worth it!

This was honestly disappointing. My friend and I came here because we read the reviews here on Unilocal and thought it would be a good place to study. Before we even walked inside, we noticed the baristas just staring at us. Uhh okay? We walked inside expecting a warm greeting or at least for their faces to change from a frown to a smile. Nothing. There was a guy barista and a girl barista. I didn’t catch either of their names, but the lady wore glasses and had tattoos. I told her that it was my FIRSTTIME at It’s a Grind, and I wanted suggestions on what teas were popular. She seemed annoyed and impatient, and told me to get the Passionfruit iced tea. I drank the tea and realized it wasn’t sweetened. I’m used to going to Starbucks and being asked if I’d like it sweetened with Classic, but that’s not a problem to me. I asked if there was a way to make it sweeter, and the guy barista(trying to be helpful) said that they only had the sugar packets on the side. Right after he said that, the lady rudely pointed to the bottles with the pumps said, «these pumps are going to COST you extra». Umm… okay… After all, it was my first time so how would I have known? Geez. She made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed :(RUDE. Enough for me to not want to come back. The tea was alright, nothing special. 1 star for the WiFi. 1 star for the cute atmosphere(and chairs).

This is a pretty cute coffee shop in the diamond bar area. It’s also fairly easy to navigate to if you’re coming on grand ave. I wasn’t greeted right away, but that doesn’t really bother me as the barista/cashier was busy with another customer. The menu is quite extensive but I decided to get a iced caramel mocha. I got a medium size, which was quite large. The barista was quite sweet & patient. Always a plus! I sat down at a table near the entrance. They have sofas and a bunch of outlets. The size of the store is on the smaller size, but it kinda reminds me of sujus back in the bay. Within few minutes, the barista brought the drink to me, which I ask thought was a nice touch as well. The coffee tasted great in my opinion! It was pretty much a blended drink with some caramel & whipped cream. Def not like a frap at Starbucks. You could taste the coffee. This is a cute place to study(def got a lot of work done!) and I recommend coming if you need a break to study or try something different than Starbucks. It’s a nice cozy atmosphere & service is quite friendly(don’t know why people said service is bad here)

I had an almost empty Starbucks coffee when I sat down on this coffee shop’s outdoor table and was planning to get another coffee for this coffee shop after I am done. The moment I sat down an elderly man who claimed to be the owner said: «oh you had a Starbucks you can not sit down. You have to leave!» Why are you so sensitive? I almost get another coffee from your store had you not been rude to your potential customer. I will never come here again or recommend people to come here.

This review is for the bartender(s), not the coffee. My girlfriend and I walked in looking for a seat. Initially not seeing an open table, we started to leave, when I heard a catcall whistle. My ears perked up and ignored it. I We found a table and sat down. For the duration of our time there, the bartender whistled a few other times at other woman as they left. Some responded with disgust. I realized the it was the barista who did the catcall whistle. My blood was boiling at this point, and only bc my lady had asked me not to say anything and create a scene, I didn’t. He left, with his girlfriend of all people, but just before I left, i spoke to his co-worker. I expressed my anger and disgust to him and all he did was say to me was I should have told him myself and he smiled. This is totally unacceptable, and disrespectful. I WILLNEVERGOBACK. The barista’s name is Adam.

Just A.O.K. to me. It was my first time there, no one greeted me and just gave me a blank stare while waiting for me to order :(I got an iced coffee with vanilla flavoring and that wasn’t so good either for the price. I think I’d stick to going to other coffee shops where I feel more welcomed.

This place makes the best americano! I used to get drinks from starbucks but I wanted to try out americano here and I loved it! I realized that starbucks americano is too strong for my tummy. Now I come here more often to enjoy a cup of ice americano even though this place is little far from my house. :) Thank you for making delicious drinks!

The coffee is really good — it’s a level above Starbucks– and it’s also cheaper. If you’re around north Diamond Bar, you should go here for your coffee I think. It’s also a nice place to sit.

I’d choose it’s a grind over starbucks any day. I love their ice blended drinks! Perfectly sweet and doesn’t get icy and bland towards the end like starbucks does. My favorite is the white chocolate mocha! I got all my coworkers addicted to it at one point. Recently tried the funky monkey and it’s also good as well. Will probably be getting like 4 a week until i get sick of it haha. When I’m not craving sweet i love iced americanos but when it comes to it’s a grind their iced black coffee tastes so much better imo. I work in the same plaza so i come pretty often and the service is always fast and friendly! Only downside is that this location doesn’t carry alot of the baked goods that the cerritos location does(if you’re ever in cerritos get the pizza croissant. It’s fireee) other than that i can’t find a single negative thing to say about this place.

I really like the atmosphere of this joint. The large chairs in the back are comfy and it’s a great place to study or work. The baristas are friendly and bring you your drinks which is a nice change. I usually get the White Chocolate Mocha or Triple Chocolate Mocha and they never disappoint. I’m sure the other drinks are on point, but when I find a drink I like, I usually stick with it. I guess I just don’t want to be let down. Wifi is free and the code is printed on the receipt I believe. Otherwise you can just ask for it. Drink sizes are also bigger than other places, so don’t order a large(it’s 32 ounces) unless you’re planning to save it for later, you need that caffeine rush, or you’re trying to gain some weight. The only con I can say is if there are smokers outside and the door is open, it’s not very pleasant. Maybe consider making the outside side tables smoking friendly only so it won’t waft in from the front.

One of my favorite places to grab a blended coffee! If one of their locations is at all close, I try to stop here rather then other huge chains. Minus one star for high prices($ 8 large, but it is HUGE!) And inconsistent coffee. Sometimes it is strong, other times not one bit. I am obsessed with their java chip, my husband adds peanut butter and an extra shot which brings it to $ 6. Pricy yes, but also decadent and filling.

Been coming to It’s a Grind now for years and it is the BEST coffee shop in the Orange County area. This is a family ran establishment and the owners are the sweetest people I have ever met. They make you feel so welcome and always help you out with your orders. The staff is also so friendly! The place has large comfy chairs and a lot of tables with outlets. It’s a prime study place because of the free wifi! I always get my studying done here! Sometimes it can get loud but hey that happens everywhere. The coffee is so delicious and fresh. It isn’t like the generic and bitter Starbucks coffee. It’s a Grind has so many different options with fraps, smoothies and food options. The portions are HUGE and very affordable. If you are in the area stop by! I promise you won’t be disappointed.

The first time I came here, I was awed by it’s cozy atmosphere. I came around 12pm so it wasn’t too crowded. I really like how they had some of those really big, one-sitter chairs. They look super comfy but I have yet to sit in one. Anyway, I was determined to try the Pistachio Nut Latte ever since I saw it on their online menu. But of course I’d leave my wallet at home .____. So I ducked my head and quickly walked out to my car. I had failed to get my Pistachio Nut Latte. But I vowed that I would be back for it. Fast forward to two days later, I brought my wallet! So after my calc midterm, I finally rewarded myself. IT’S DELICIOUS! It’s not too sweet, but it balances the drink so well that you don’t really taste the espresso, and it’s PERFECT on cold, rainy day~ Even though it’s quite a drive from my house, I’d drive the distance just to get my hands on that Pistachio Nut Latte. I will go back to try the other items, but for now it will become my regular drink there~ :3

I have found a perfect spot to study! Apparently this coffee shop has been running for the past 12 years(according to the barista) and it’s sad that I just discovered this place after living in this area for the past 11 years. But it’s better late than never! PROs — Variety of caffeine and non-caffeine drinks, including some that you won’t find in other cafes! — Rich flavored drinks(aka love at first sip!) — Fast WiFi so it doesn’t frustrate you — Bright light so you don’t be blind while reading your textbook and whatnot — Friendly baristas — MANYOUTLETS — Again, I cannot emphasize how good the drinks are here. Worth the $$! CONs — Only if the tables were bigger :( But I still give this place a 5 star because coffee.

It’s been 6 years since It’s a grind closed by my old house and I always missed it. Now I finally found a new one and I remember why I missed it even more. The atmosphere is so much more casual than the rest of the big name coffee shops. The comfy couches and the faux(I think) fireplace make it feel like your own living room. And I can’t forget to mention the great service. The baristas will bring your order to your table. The coffee itself is very smooth and less aggressive than most other coffee shops. I highly recommend It’s a grind to everyone in the area or just passing by. Keep up the good work!
