Formerly Taco Factory, now under new ownership and rebranded as La Olla. Overall menu is the same and is still very much like Taco Factory. They have new $ 6 specials that they added to the menu with several options. Nothing really changed much. A coworker and I came in for lunch. I ordered the enchilada plate, and he the $ 6 special bowl. Food was served in a timely manner. The enchiladas were pretty good, nothing special. Came with rice and beans. Beans were a little cold, rice a bit dry. But the enchiladas did hold their own and I overall enjoyed the plate. My coworker enjoyed his bowl with had chicken, rice, beans, lettuce, and guac. He said it tasted good and was a good price. Overall I think the new owner needs to revamp this establishment. Still serves a lot of the same Taco Factory food. As previous reviews show, it’s time for a change. Decent, but needs improvement.

How has the health department not shut down this place? Went in last week after craving a Carne Asada burrito and after driving around all day I just wanted something local and half decent. This was a horrific choice. Don’t order the«wet» burrito unless you want to watch your pitiful burrito nuked in a MICROWAVE on a plastic plate. I’m shocked the plate didn’t melt. Oh well, I was starving so I ate my Carne Asada burrito anyway, damn the cancer risk! Here’s the best part: I could see the«cook» in plain view from the middle of the restaurant, texting frantically and then proceeding to slice tomatoes with his bare hands. I’m no chef but I’m pretty sure that’s gross. Oh and affixing a cleaning rag to your belt loop is pretty nasty as well. Go back and get that ServSafe certification before you give someone a disease.

So I come here for the first time ever thinking a local taco place. I was indecisive at what to order I wanted tacos. I order a soft taco and hard shell(carne Asada). The cashier tells me it will be 1 $ more for each taco with carne Asada. Soooooooo I think okay let me get a taco meal instead. The menu says 6.49 for 2 tacos and rice and beans. The tacos are supposedly to come with lettuce and cheese and guac. I ask for the guac on the side. 1 $ more. So she tells me it’s 10.49 so after all the hidden taco fees im like it has to be good for that price. LOOOOOOLATME ! I get home and open the box. Seriously thought about driving back and returning them. The tacos were a joke !!! Do not waste your money. Literally presentation was so bad. No cheese and like a minuscule amount of lettuce. And my guac on the side was about 2 tablespoons. I could have bought a avocado next door for 1 $. Do not eat here.

The restaurant looks alright and It was Tuesday so I wanted to get tacos. Their Tuesday special got me 2 tacos for 2.20. Their drinks are $ 2,for a regular. The food looks gross. The chicken I got was rubbery bland and disgusting. The workers are not pleasant either. One star is for their fountain drinks!!! Orange bang, horacha and more. Yum

I wanted to like this place after my first visit a year ago, they switched management and it has resulted in the decline of this long standing establishment. The cashier was extremely rude and lacked the general knowledge of the menu. I ordered the carne asada burrito plate and was severely dissapointed, the meat was dry and lacked substance, it was filled mostly with side items such as beans and rice. It’s like I died and went to Taco Bell, not an authentic mexican restaurant to say the least.

Not the best place. I grew up in La Habra, so I know good Mexican food. This was a disappointment. Chicken tacos are expensive, and they were so salty and gross. The only thing my husband and I liked was the rice. Don’t waste your money!

Wow, the food is horrible. The«Carne asada» is just diced cheap steak. The carnitas is dry and bland, and the Al pastor tasted like rubber. $ 1.59 per taco is pricey, unless the meat is high quality. This is not the case. To top it all off, their system has been«updated»; meaning the price is higher than the menu. Complete horse manure. Raise your prices if the quality of the food is actually good. Don’t raise it because you can’t attract a customer base. Their meat is not fresh either. They sit in trays like Chipotle, except they only refill the trays once a day. This place was empty at 6 pm on a friday. By empty, I mean 0 customers when we left. That says a lot about the«food». You’re better off with El Pollo Loco right across the street, and your will pay half the price.

good food. fast service. nice, friendly, clean. Only gripe was no napkins dispensers! At least not on the tables, I didnt search around. Cuz I shouldnt have to. Its a restaraunt, I expect napkins on my table. Im sure its a cost saving measure. But when I pay $ 9.00 for 4 tacos and a soda. Throw in .05cents worth of paper please. I will probably go to El Pollo Loco now due to this…

This was such a let down. The burrito was ok, wish I didn’t get it wet. The red sauce on the burrito had a fresh out of the can taste. The fish taco was ok except the fish was salty like some reviews state. The tortilla shells are too big and would be fine with one shell instead of the two. The carne asada wasn’t half bad but all in all, the food is prep for drunk customers who will say that the food is «BOMB» but when they return the next time when they are sober will say it tasted way better last time.

Wow where do I start. the tacos here are not fresh, the tortillas are not fresh. this has to be one of the worst taco stands ive ever had. I had the carne asada, or jerky asada. Nothing here is authentic. the staff was nice though, 2 pts! There are a lot of better options in diamond bar

Wanted to come on here and warn everyone of this business’ rewards card, which is a borderline scam. I received a gift card for $ 25 for this place that is also a rewards card. After buying $ 100 worths you get a 1 time $ 10 credit. Since I received a $ 25 dollar head start I kept coming back and just as I was about to make the purchase that would’ve put me over the $ 100 the guy at the register tells me it’s not giving me the the credit and the system is not working. Ok so he writes $ 10 credit on my receipt and initials it. I come back about a week later thinking I have a $ 10 credit. I still have the initialed receipt. Same guy that initialed the receipt is at the register and takes my order. I hand him the receipt and tells me they’re still having problems with the card service. I told him I honestly don’t care I just want my $ 10 credit, I’m not going to be using the card anymore. Basically he can’t give me the credit and offers to call me when they have it fixed. I said never mind, I’m never coming to this place ever again. Walked to the trash can, threw the card away and walked out. Don’t use this business’ reward card. That guy could’ve made it right and I probably would’ve continued coming back since it’s one of the few places with al pastor.

Gotta give credit where credit is due. their el pastor tacos are a must. with cheese and guacamole. omg. not sure how anything else is, but do yourself a favor and get those tacos here. Im going to agree with previous Unilocalers here — not sure what vibe or style food they are going for — authentic or americanized?

This is the definition of «Franchised Mexican food». Although I am not of Hispanic decent, my taste palette is advanced enough to taste some kind of authenticity. This place is called«Taco Factory», because they pump out mass volumes of food and disregard the quality of their product. First and foremost, they have a salad bar with salsa, lettuce, cheese, and other toppings they would use at a Del Taco. This salad bar is there for you to assemble your taco/burrito. Then you have the option to wrap it yourself or have a cook rapidly wrap it. The art-form of burrito wrapping is not evident here. Second, the«Asada» is nothing more than UN-marinated, dried-out, skirt steak. I dine at Mexican hole –in-the-walls to indulge in some rich carne asada! The meat is very bland and the rice is not fluffy! There is nothing unique about this place.

Using the groupon coupon. Ordered the wet beef burrito with extra beef. First, service weren’t not xxxx,(don’t want to say it out), maybe i am using groupon, the lady cashier didn’t ask me my order is for togo or here, she asked everyone else and offer them a cup of water if they didn’t order drink, but me. Food came about 10 min. The beef is kind of crewy, not much beef taste, and i don’t see my burrito got extra beef(not worth for the $ 2), unless the regular has very less beef. Overall the burrito is kind of greasy, without the groupon, i rather to have baja fresh, you pay about the same with the coupon, but it’s fresher in every way.

First time here. First time trying tacos al pastor. Craving satisfied! I just went to work on these tacos and I’ll be back for sure. The al pastor tacos were like a flavor explosion.

Came in with friends for dinner before heading back to work. I got the steak quesadilla with chips and guac on the side. The quesadilla was pretty good, though the hot salsa could have been spicier. The chips were a little on the stale side, but the guac made everything all good. I had horchata from the old school bang machine and it was really good.

Mehhhh, 2.5 stars. I never expect much from most chain restaurants except for a select few places. I rarely ever come here, but I used to eat here more often when my office was right across the street. It was the closest, most convenient, fast, and decent Mexican restaurant around. I’ve had different items from their menu: Tortas, burritos(chicken, carne asada, carnitas, combination), beef tacos, cheese enchiladas, & their quesadillas. Overall, everything has tasted mediocre to me, and I feel that the prices are high compared to many awesome, authentic Mexican restaurants that I’ve been to. The portion sizes aren’t very big either. Again, the food isn’t bad tasting and I’ve never gotten sick or anything, but I’ve had MUCH, MUCH better food elsewhere, so I wouldn’t come here if I was craving Mexican food. The cashiers and cooks here are really nice, the restaurant is pretty tidy, and it’s in a good location, a good plaza with ample parking, and they have a salsa bar with tasty, fresh sauces & chopped veggies(cilantro, onions, etc.).

This has to be one of the worst places I’ve had«authentic» Mexican food. The service was stellar, I love that they’re in a great location with ample parking and for once, a safe neighborhood. I used a Groupon and didn’t have any issues.(I hate using Groupons and the associates look at me like I’m an alien.) I had the pork nachos with cheddar cheese. The entire entrée was so greasy I wasn’t sure if it was the pork or the cheese. Gross… The Orange Bang wasn’t as rich or flavorful, it almost tasted watered down but I didn’t check the horchata to be sure. The salsa bar is adequate and you could take salsa home if you order to-go.(We noticed a lot of people tend to order to-go.) I’d say this is on par with Molca Salsa, and not the good stuff at Molca Salsa either. I would still choose Alberto’s over this or my ultimate street taco favorite, Taqueria de Anda off of Chapman. Just something about those tacos…

3* stars for the food; 1* extra star for the salsa bar, cleanliness and friendly staff. The last time that I came here was on a Tuesday because my girlfriend wanted some dollar tacos. I must say that every time whether I am just passing by or actually have came in, this place have always appeared very sanitized. The tacos here are okay, you get to choose between 4 choices of meat; they are Carne Asada, Carnitas, Chicken, and one more that I cannot remember. Each tacos comes with two corn tortillas, which is a plus for me since I hates flower tortilla. The salsa bar reminded me of El Pollo Loco, which is not bad since I am a pretty saucy guy. Although I do wish that their hot sauces would taste like those at authentic Mexican restaurants, or those at chain Mexican restaurants such as Alberto, if you know what I mean. The problem here is the meat; I tried all four kinds and non of them were very flavorful. All of them tasted bland, and none of them melted away in MAH mouth. I was one disappointed Panda. =.( The main reason why I come to this place beside the fact that it’s clean and cheap is for the relaxing mood that it provides for me and my friends. I’ve never once saw this place too packed or too noisy since I started coming here; therefore its a great place for catching up time if you or your friend live around the area

Friendly staff, clean place, but not so good burritos and tacos. I’ve tried this place over and over again but I’ve only had mediocre experiences with my food there thus far. The carne asada burrito was sloppy, the egg in the breakfast burrito was under-cooked both times I got it, and the bean and cheese burrito was also super dry. You’re also probably paying a buck more for these items than you would at either a hole in the wall establishment or even a taco truck. While on the surface Taco Factory looks like it has it together, you can’t say the same about the food.
