Okay, I came into this location tonight not really feeling my usual self… I was cranky because of some unrelated issues. but anyway. This was my first time visiting here, it’s updated on the inside but the layout is a little confusing so I somehow ended up at the back of the line instead of at the ordering part… oops! Like I said, I wasn’t feeling my usual self. So Morgan, brunette guy with blue eyes, asks me if I need a sandwich. First I say yes and then made a sarcastic joke about needing a car, definitely was NOT a good idea. I was only trying to be funny, and that’s when I realised I was in the wrong area! Which of course embarrassed me and I apologised for being rude.twice. And he was just not having. He was getting ruder by the moment and I was awkwardly frozen there. Of course we had miscommunication about that sandwich, I don’t even know how that was happening but oh well. I apologised again for making it difficult and he just didn’t care at all, snubbed me. He rudely slaps my sandwich together. And calls it a day. I’ll come back because subway is just super convenient for me but cheer up kiddo! You’re working with PEOPLE. And in that industry you just need to smile and move on. One star gone for service One star gone for an overwhelming baked smell of some sort.

I have been here a few times since moving to town and I agree with another review saying there’s a lot of employee chatter as opposed to work. The food is just like any other subway, except… They were advertising the $ 6BBQ chicken sandwich for the month of May but were out of the chicken with 5 days left in the month. The franchise owner refused to offer any alternative for the same price. While its not a huge deal, there are principles to these things. A corporation that advertises a price on an item for a limited timeframe must honor the advertisement during that timeframe or it’s false advertising which is technically illegal. I found the franchise owner to be pretty smug on the matter and I left, never to return. The next day, I went to the Subway by the Walmart, they had plenty of BBQ chicken and the franchise owner was polite and pleasant. It might be a small point, but I encourage all in the Dixon area to go to that subway. These things matter.

Came here about 2 months ago, and I’m giving them 4 stars because I still remember my positive experience, and that says something for a Subway. Early morning, there was one guy working the entire store — the drive-thru AND indoors! He was toasting sandwiches, grabbing bags of chips, and taking orders like a boss. Wish I’d caught his name(brown hair). Give the poor guy a raise and some help! Bomb sandwiches, good prices, and coffee creamer = one of the best Subways I’ve been to. If I’m ever through the area again and craving an Egg & Cheese Flatbread, we’ll be back!

I like this location a lot better the the location in the Walmart parking lot. The only negative is that are always out of spinach when I come in for a sandwich. The drive thru is a Plus

I have mixed feelings about this place, and I’ve been going here for years. I’ll start with the good. The food quality is fine. It’s pretty much what you’d expect from a Subway, and tastes fine. My family has also gone here a few times to order sandwich platters for various events, and that has all been fine. However, on a normal, everyday visit, I’ve received poor service more often than not. There have been a number of times I’ve been in there and the workers were more concerned with gossiping loudly than serving customers, even when there was a long line. They were also rather rude towards customers who interrupted their chatting. Another time, I was being helped by a worker who was obviously new to the job. She was struggling, which was understandable, but she was causing the line to build up with customers. Meanwhile, her manager just sat and casually ate a sandwich and watched the whole situation. For the benefit of the customers, it would have been nice if she wouldn’t have given the new worker a hand, rather than making people wait. The lack of good service at this location is frustrating. If you have to have Subway in Dixon, I’d recommend driving across town to one of the other two.

Just wanted to add that the drive-thru at this Subway is now a 24 hour drive thru. Nice alternative to the Jack in the Boxes of the world.
