Adorable little coffee shop with a friendly Italian owner. Coffee and lattes are no frills but delicious. Would definitely come back and enjoy another latte in the big comfy leather couches.

This place makes me feel as if I am in Italy. I’m an espresso person but was feeling a capp today. While I will admit that the cappuccino was rather large, it was excellent. No latte art here, just authentic coffee. The owner, Basilio, was very friendly. While he offers a seat, standing at the«bar» is encouraged. Truly Italian style as is cash only

The best italian style in the middle of ny state. You can eat and drink the most genuine and fresh food and coffe. Tasty sandwiches and perfect italian cappuccino. Basilio is very nice and the athmosphere is comfortable. Opera in background like Verdi and Puccini.

Cash only establishment, but the blue berry muffins, chai’s, caffé latté’s, and regular coffee are all great tasting! The owner is super friendly and that alone is reason enough to be a stable continuous customer. The place doesn’t look like much from the outside or even the inside but it is a nice quiet quaint tranquil place to enjoy some Java in peace and quiet.

Super cute and relaxing atmosphere, owner so sweet. Tried the decaf cappuccino and the chai latte, both absolutely delicious, as were the mini biscotti on the side.

My sister and I enjoyed perfect decaf cappuccino here the other day. We’ll return, but the owner warned us that it takes time to make the lunch sandwiches on the menu board. The cup of hot decaf cappuccino was $ 3.96. Note: cash only.

UPDATE: Every time I go back to NY for a visit, I come here. The delicious cappuccino & cornetto are not to be missed. But most of all, I go back for Basilio’s fantastic & entertaining company. We keep each other on our toes :-) There are very few places to banter in Italian & I relish the treat!

I love this little coffee shop in the heart of Dobbs ferry! It’s owned by an Italian man named basil and he is the nicest man! They are known for there espresso of course, he also served sandwiches, desserts and gelato! Whenever you order a latte or cappuccino be gives you a homemade complimentary biscotti which is delicious! I love the cappuccinos here and iced cappuccinos!

Authentic coffee shop. As in – this guy knows how to make and serve coffee, tea and refreshments. No paper cups here and no store bought goodies – all hand or homemade goods. And there is REAL furniture — no folding chairs or bar stools, nice comfy plush seating. I have gotten to know the owner, Basilio, from my visits and he is a smart, knowledgeable, authentic man. GOHERE!

I love coming to this lovely café! The service is absolutely wonderful, with an incredible amount of attention and care. In winter, the hot chocolate is stellar. Basilio makes iced cappuccinos in the summer, which are also very tasty and refreshing. You can even bring a book or work, since there is always room to sit(in my experience),

With all due respect, this place was a little depressing! When I think back on my visit and try to picture the café, all I can see is beige and yellow. It was very sparsely furnished and I don’t recall any color anywhere in the room. The pastry case was a little sad and empty but hopefully that’s a testament to the morning rush and consumption of the earlier patrons. I think the owner was behind the counter and he was lovely and very friendly; ebullient actually. He served me a tiny little Biscotti with my coffee(It seems that’s customary practice). The coffee was just ok. I would return to try the espresso. Don’t look for soy milk, skim milk or anything fancy at this joint. It’s no frills but other reviewers seem to love it, so maybe I missed something.

Caffe latte is the best café in Dobbs in my book! Basilio, the owner is very friendly and funny. I always enjoy my chai latte there. The atmosphere is very relaxed and casual. You can tell other patrons are there not just for the coffee but they also enjoy sitting there and reading the newspaper or chatting with the owner. Your coffee always come with a small almond biscotti which my kid loves to nibble on. The one time I did try his caprese sandwich, it did not disappoint. Even the plain croissant is perfect and flaky but not dry.

Caffelatte is the embodiment of Italian café simplicity. It also makes you question why you would ever spend a cent at a corporate shill operation like sbucks or dunkin. The coffee here is great. The vibe is relaxed, provided by the background Verdi, chatter of paisani, and the ebullience of owner Basilio. You will rarely encounter more personalized service and honest friendliness in a coffee shop. The menu, while limited, uniformly good. I usually go for the ham and brie on baguette or the Delizioso, which is prosciutto, mozzarella, and tomato. Simplicity and execution. All the more reason to permanently boycott all chain coffee shops. Grande mochawho? Whatever… I want a cup of cappuccino and a free biscotti served by someone with skin in the game and who actually gives a damn.

Why fly to Roma? Spend a leisurely 30 minutes in this place sipping wonderful coffee and drinking-in the Italian atmosphere. Everything about the place is frighteningly authentic, including the owner.

Best Rivertown Coffee. I’ve loved this place for years! The atmosphere is relaxed and the owner is super friendly. Haven’t tried the food yet, but just might, since it looks delicious. Plan to sit and enjoy– no book/laptop needed! The owner/barista will provide the entertainment.

I love this place for its old world, relaxed European café vibe. I’ve been in town working on a film shoot, and whenever I step in here, I feel like I am leaving all of my production stress behind for a few minutes. It may not have quite as extensive a coffee menu as more modern coffee-snob establishments(in fact, there is no straight-up iced coffee, just iced cappuccinos & lattes) but the coffee drinks are truly delicious. Other things to love: charming owner, outdoor seating & delicious biscotti from Tuscany! Perfecto!

Such a nice place I just had«brunch» there which turned into about three hours of just enjoying the atmosphere, the comfortable chairs and, or course, the delicious food. I would STRONGLY recommend the hot chocolate, I am pretty sure it is the best in the rivertowns. I also had a deliziozi, the freshest prosciutto, mozzerella, bright red tomatoes and greens served on a warm baguette. It was really really good. If you are in a rush, it isn’t your place. It is extremely relaxed and half the reason i go there is to enjoy the authentic Italian atmosphere

Great local place for a refreshing salad an an authentic cappuccino. This no frills local town secret is the ideal place for a Sunday light salad and a great cup of coffee however you take, frothed, iced, steamed or doubled up. To add to this there is an authentic collection of Italian cakes biscottis and gelato to either compliment your meal. Or you can just have desserts alone but I would recommend lunch. upon entry you will greated by Bacillio(I am sure I spelled his name wrong please forgive me). He is authentic, a wine sipping, charming distinguished gentleman that owns, manages and prepares all of the items at caffe latte. His character is almost reason enough to be here. It’s probably why people normally are not in a rush to leave. Why would you, the guy that is making your meals is telling stories, singing opera(or at least trying to) all while making yours and others meals. Plus he eats his own food if that’s not quality control I don’t know what is. if your in dobbs ferry make this a must stop. Thank you and enjoy.
