What a find! This charming and intimate restaurant can boast the best food I have had since being in Italy. We had the gnocchi which was amazing… light and in a delicious pesto sauce. My salad with gorgonzola was perfect, sizeable and also fresh, well dressed but not overly saucy. I would go again often

This was my second time having a meal in the last 2 months. A causal atmosphere with wonderful food. Simple yet refined… elegantly presented. The portions were generous and you felt that what ever you order was cooked just for you!

Small place that can get pretty busy, but servers work hard to please. Really good food, stay away if you are a vampire or otherwise have an aversion to garlic. Artichoke hearts and calamari are outstanding antipasti. Linguine with clam sauce(white) is the epitome of how that dish should be made, with silken fresh linguine, real clams in their shells, and a broth of olive oil, juice from the clams, parsley, broccoli rabe, and of course lots of garlic. All pastas are fresh. The pappardelle with butternut squash in a hazelnut cream sauce is sophisticated comfort food. Fruitti di mare with squid ink linguine is excellent. Been here twice, never had room for dessert. Decent wine list with reasonable selections.

Four of us each tried something different and each dish was really good to excellent. Nice atmosphere, good service. Only our second meal there over a decade in the area but we’ll be back on a regular basis.

This is a small Italian Tratoria very quaint. Food was excellent. would recommend our servers were very accommodating. It took some time to get our food, however it came out hot and delicious actually I think it’s a large steak I’ve ever seen served at a restaurant try the bananas with the Nutella really yummy. Definitely have reservations its small resturant.

First and last visit. Waiter was inattentive and practically nonexistent. We waited 20 minutes for him to take our drink orders and two tables that came in after us not only ordered their drinks but received them before our drink order was taken. We waited an additional 30 minutes before our dinner order was taken. We were there almost 45 minutes before bread was put on the table and we had our drinks. The food itself left a lot to be desired. It lacked flavor and seasoning. You would think that a place with such a small menu would have mastered each of their dishes. I had told many people I was going to try this place… I have nothing good to say about it and will not be going back.

We have been here twice for lunch. The wait staff are really helpful & the owner is charming. We shared the fantastic 3 cheese meatballs(a must!). I had mussels in wine & garlic and spouse had the house pasta. Both dishes were plentiful, tasty & satisfying. Very relaxed atmosphere. Reminded us of our honeymoon in Italy. Recommended!

Ambiance was very quant and romantic, the service was absolutely wonderful and attentive. The food was very flavorful and hearty, you have to try the pasta dish with cream sauce, hazelnut and butternut squash(voted best in Westchester 2015). The chef who is also the owner came out shortly after the meal and was very caring and kind making sure me and my GF enjoyed our meal which we did. Food 8⁄10 Service 10⁄10 Dessert 6⁄10

Went to the restaurant for restaurant week in Hudson valley 3÷13÷16 and I wish we didn’t. The service was very inattentive First off when me and my girlfriend walked in the asked if we had a reservation when there was 6 empty tables. They finally gave us a table in the corner and took 10 minutes to give us a menu and then another 20 to bring bread to our table. We both ordered pasta and it being an Italian restaurant wouldn’t think that it would be over cooked. But it was.

Best Italian food in Westchester! Place is small and very intimate. The owner Sergio is a complete gentleman who makes everything from the butter to the dessert. Calamari is amazing, ribeye w chimichurri was amazing, Bronzino was great and dessert, tiramisu was amazing. Great dining experience.

Have been here countless times and the service and food are always amazing. They have the best Calamari I have ever had! I always order it when I come. All the pasta dishes are great. The chicken and fish are always cooked to perfection. Everything I have eaten is great. No complaints. The chef and his staff are super attentive and professional. Can’t say enough great things!!! This is a must go to place!

What a fantastic restaurant! It’s a tiny quaint little place so keep that in mind. Almost every table I tightly placed next to another but if you get there anytime after 7pm you’ll have much of the place to yourself and privacy. They’re homemade pasta is excellent and you can tell the ingredients are reply fresh because of the flavor and vibrant colors. My wife had the Bronzino fillet and is was spectacular! I had the linguine with broccoli rabs in clam sauce which was great! The only disappointment were the crostini because the bread was way too hard to even enjoy the flavor of the toppings. Service was pretty slow but we weren’t in a rush and didn’t care.

Made reservations for 7:30pm and had to wait until 8pm :(but hoped the food is going to be good(based on reviews). Ordered $ 200 worth of food and very disappointed to see the chef(who prides his italian heritage) can’t even make decent pasta. Steak was just bad. Risotto and seabass were salty. Mussels were cold and hard from overcooking. Only good thing we had was a whole Bronzini. I know small rivertowns don’t have much choice. but NYC is 35 mins away. Dont waste your money here.

Piccola is a trattoria, not a formal restaurant, and although we hadn’t been there in a couple of years, nothing seemed to have changed; not the«intimate» space with rustic, undressed tables so close together that many parties strike up conversations with their neighbors(and you can’t help but be party to your neighbor’s conversations even if you might have chosen otherwise), not the Italian-style menu, with just a few choices for each course and cooking more on the heavy than light side, nor the wine list, modest in size, but extremely fairly priced by the bottle or the glass. The burratta with roasted tomatoes and peppers was still excellent, and the grilled veal chop was still hearty winter fair; the pork osso buco(veal osso buco has been off their menu for years) was a bit flat, and neither plate was graced with much in the way of vegetables. We didn’t try the offerings from the sea, but those who did seemed satisfied. We shared a tiramisu, and like their other desserts it was on the petite side, meant to send you off with a sweet taste, but not constitute a meal unto itself. Be sure to make a reservation, at least for dinner; neither the entrance(up a step) nor the(tight) facilities are accessible. There are lots of dining spots in downtown Dobbs Ferry, so parking can be tight, but meters are free after 6:00PM and there is a municipal lot nearby as well.

Surprisingly crowded for a Tuesday night, but we had made a reservation so there was no problem getting a table. We started with the fried calamari and it was perfect. Homemade marinara was also excellent. I went with the grilled ribeye with a chimichurri sauce that was cooked real nicely and was one of the best steaks I’ve gotten in Dobbs. My fiancée had the house penne a la vodka(for lack of the menu name) and it was also excellent. The tiramisu was a nice way to end the night. Great food, service, and ambiance.

We came here on a Wed. night and we practically had the whole place to ourselves which was great. The place is charming inside, when you walk in you have a very warm feeling and this is due to the lighting. The Restaurant does not have a bar area, however there are plenty of tables, we sat by the window. Our server was great, and the food was good. Now for out meal. We shared the Pappardelle Con Nocciole — house made pasta with butternut squash and roasted hazelnut because it was rated«BEST in Westchester 2015» the pasta was ribbon shaped, cooked to perfection in a cream sauce, but we did get that wow! feeling at the first bite, we were sorry we didn’t order a pasta dish with tomato sauce instead. We loved Melanzane Rollatina — eggplant stuffed with ricotta parmigiana with a tomato sauce, we were sorry we did not order two orders. All and all, this is a great place to dine for date night or just a place to catch up with family and friends.

One of the Rivertown’s best kept secrets. Was closed forever, then magically reopened last year with great food, warm and attentive service, and cozy ambiance. Just delicious.(Friends have confessed it’s their favorite Dobbs restaurant.)

Yet another solid dinner at Piccola. Service again was attentive without being pushy or obtrusive. Tried the shrimp far diavolo, which was excellent. A nice change being served over polenta vs. pasta. Felt so much lighter. Wife had a tremendous cut of swordfish which was also excellent. Probably the largest serving of swordfish I’ve ever seen. Wines for $ 8(or less) a glass is nice.
