It was good pizza. The inside was a little dirty as others have reported but I was sitting waiting for take out. I really like that they have online ordering and offer discounts. The pizza was ready relatively quick.

These guys always surprise me with something new. I recently started to eat healthier and I’m happy I can always find something healthy and fast at Brick Oven. Of course we always end with a little treat of ice cream, but why not. I been seeing new things at Brick Oven and I’m looking forward to what is yet to come.

We had an occasion where we had some guests for the evening and had planned on ordering pizza. It happened that we had received in the mail a flyer about this pizza place with some discounts. When I went to the web address I saw that there was a deep discount for ordering pizza online. I followed this encouragement to order online and ordered two large pizzas online, which I then sent my husband to pick up. Upon arriving there, my husband was told that they had not received the order and that that system never works and that they often don’t receive the orders. Of course this threw our schedule off an hour or more and was very awkward given that we had these houseguests. what should a business do in this situation? Well of course, they should apologize and offer a huge discount or even give the order for free. My husband suggested this to make things square, yet they refused. The lady that he spoke to said that simply, she has plenty of customers. and that it wasn’t her fault that the online ordering system doesn’t work LOL. When you piss off customers, it’s not a great way to get more customers! I never took business classes — but this is business 101! YOU offer a discount to order online and when the order messes up all the time you say«not my fault» and push the customers out the door? What is wrong with people? We are laughing all the way to the next pizza place-and so are our friends… Sigh.

This place is a great local pizza parlor. My kids love this place! We’ve been coming here for years and the pizza is always great, service friendly and prices are reasonable.

I stopped in here today with a friend as she had a prepaid coupon/certificate. Upon arrival there were 3 – 4 guys behind the counter just BS’n, maybe 5. We looked for a clean table on the Pizza Parlor Side and after finding 3 – 4 of them with crumbs, we found one clean one and sat down. I wondered why if there were at least 3 guys doing nothing, why there was only one clean table? Granted they were not filthy but each one had crumbs on them. There were only 3 other customers in the place, all of whom had already received their food Having read that they have waiter service on Unilocal,we waited for one to come by. After 5 plus minutes sitting there we approached the counter and and were told we had to order there up-front. No waiters. Meanwhile if we hadn’t approached the counter none of these guys would have clued us in and we’d still be sitting there. Everyone behind the counter seemed totally disinterested in the customer. We ordered and then were persuaded to sit on the other side for whatever reason he had. I looked at 4 – 5 tables none of which had been cleaned on THAT side-again not atrocious but crumbs on all at minimum. At this point I’m a little upset with this place and say out loud something like«Why are none of these tables clean?» I’m standing next to two tables– for– 2 pushed together. The guy comes out from behind the counter and cleans that set-up but cleans NONE of the others-doesn’t even look at them Anyway we sit down and i feel this cold wet strong breeze on the back of my neck. It’s 58 degrees out, 100% humidity and it’s misting. The front door is open! My partner offers to switch sides-we do and it’s worse on my new side but i just grin and bear it. About now a diesel truck apparently pulls up right outside as the whole area is filled with diesel fumes in 30 seconds. Lovely. We don’t have our food at this time and luckily by the time it arrives. the fumes have cleared out but the gale force winds continue. We get our regular bread and a short time later our Garlic Bread. A short time after that my Calamari appetizer arrived. It was the size of a full meal! Why? I later found out it was $ 10.99! Why have an appetizer the same size/price(or more) as the main courses? Why not cut the size in half and make it $ 6.99? I ate 2 bites and moved the whole plate and the watery sauce to the other table, wanting it as far away from me as possible. It reeked the whole time– Im hoping the diesel truck will come back and cover up the smell but no such luck. I should have moved it all outside or brought it up to the counter but that seemed over the top at this stage of the meal. Our main course arrives in a reasonable time(as did everything previously) and either then or a short time later, the ‘main guy’ asks if we’d like the front door closed. «Yes Please» Meanwhile upon delivery of the main course we have no utensils except 2 knives which came with the bread. We ask for utensils and this fella seems a bit annoyed that we hadn’t been given any and comes back a minute later and literally tosses them on our bread plate which at this time was mostly trash-the old butter containers and the covers that you have to strip off. The fork was the cheapest POS I’ve seen in memory. The edge of the handle might cut you if you aren’t careful. That reminds me, i literally laughed watching my partner deal with her butter. She was making a spreading motion with the knife but the frozen butter was just sliding down the top of the bread to the end, leaving no traces behind. She’d pick it back up and start over with he same results. Mid slide it rolled over once or twice also. After about 4 passes, the butter began to cooperate-the friction having raised its temperature a bit during the bread slides I imagine. For me the sliding/rolling butter show was the highlight of lunch. At some point the ‘main guy’ asked about the Calamari. I told him it was rubbery and i couldn’t eat it. He offered no credit on it but did say«I’m sorry». I repeat it was $ 10.99. My partner liked her Spaghetti with Meat Sauce but my MBs were just so bland, barely any taste. The texture was good(they must have one of those Hobart blender machines or similar) which made them edible for me thankfully. My partner liking the Meat Sauce is the only reason I’m rating this 2 Stars today. Im not doing a conclusion as i think the above is pretty clear. I will never return-not even with a 100%- off coupon.

I’ve ordered from here a lot of times, but it’s honestly not worth the stop or money, its just convenient that you can pay online. It is quite over priced for a pizza place, and the food is mediocre. They have really good mozzarella sticks, but that’s about it! I ordered penne vodka once & the sauce literally tasted like vomit! (So stay away from that one if possible lol) There are a lot of really good restaurants & pizza places in Dobbs Ferry & surrounding areas, but this is definitely not one that I would recommend.

I am happy to update my review of this place to a 3 star review. I have come back a couple of times to get salads here and they are fresh, tasty and generously sized. You can add grilled chicken to any salad for $ 4.25 and that’s quickly becoming my MO. I like to get the chef salad and add chicken or get the chicken Caesar salad. A chicken Caesar salad is $ 12.35 with tax, which isn’t cheap, but it’s most certainly a meal, and it’s worth it to me.

Had the baked ziti, Mozzella sticks, and fried calamari. Was great! I go here weekly and this gang is great! Very nice and helpful. There is also an ice cream pallor on the other side of the store and believe me they serve great ice cream all year long but it’s so great during the summer months to have.

I really like their pizza here. Though it’s not the best pizza I’ve had, it’s up there. I usually get a pepperoni and garlic pizza as a measure of how much I like the place. It’s a simple pizza and you can taste all the ingredients. The price is very reasonable, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is great for the family. I’d happily return here for pizza and to explore the other dishes on the menu.

Yes, their pizza is very good. But, did you know that the ice cream parlor section serves breakfast on weekends now? The Belgian waffle with sausages was exceptionally good. I devoured the waffle, the fresh berry-topping, and the sausages with nary a crumb left on my plate. Others in my party enjoyed their choices, too. Their breakfast gets a thumbs up from this satisfied customer!
