SCAMMERS!!! Ordered to go. 1) Two eggs scrambled with corned beef hash.(Menu price 9.15) comes with home fries and toast. — charged me $ 6.15 and charged the corn beef hash as a side $ 4.95(totaling $ 11.10) 2) Fried egg sandwich $ 2.55 — charged me $ 3.55 Extra .40 cents for to go orders(they charged me TWO times @ .40cnts!!!) I didn’t realize that they charged me extra until I looked at the receipt. Charged me $ 16.82 versus $ 13.15…extra $ 3.67($ 13.28 if ordered on Unilocal24 app.= extra $ 3.54 Parkway Diner charged me). Asked the young blonde lady who took my order to explain the overages. 1) Asked shouldn’t the egg platter with corned beef hash be 9.15; reply was that she had to charge me separately cause there was nowhere in the system for that option and that I ordered the items separately. Note, I pointed at the menu when ordering and when I was disputing the questionable charge. I then went onto the Unilocal24 app and added all things into cart to show that there was a price difference. Young blonde Lady in front then says okay I’ll do it for you next time… WTF?! What kind of excuse is this. There is no next time… So basically their response was that«sorry for the charge error, but will fix that next time» is like saying«sorry for robbing you a few bucks, hope we fix that next time you come back.» Tasted the food and the sodium levels were through the roof. So salty and so dry. After a few bites, I tossed everything into the trash. I was hoping the food would be somewhat better, but nope. money down the drain and food down the drain with it.

Service quality was decent. Other than the fact that we had to wait a few minutes for the waiter to even notice us at the front. Food on the other hand was far from. My father ordered a medium rare Texan Burger, he received a well-done burger. My mother’s cauliflower in her mixed vegetables were ice cold and her potato was very tough. She couldn’t dig into the potato due to how hard it was. My brother didn’t even receive his vegetables and potato until we asked for it, which was suppose to come with his meal. I ordered the French Dip which was roast beef on garlic bread. I just received a regular kaiser roll and not a hint of garlic was on it. I could understand if it was just buttered or something like that, but that wasn’t the case. Given the price, the food was okay. Not good enough to come back though. Sorry.

Great place to eat lunch. Friendly staff and the disco fries are delicious. They have valet parking now. I didn’t need it, but its nice to have the option.

I don’t usually leave Unilocal reviews but this place rocks! Beautiful atmosphere on a sun morning around 10am, not loud and rowdy like most diners in bayside area. The service was on point and the waffles with all the fresh berries were delicious. the table got a side of hash browns best in north eastern queens, crispy but not burnt and not oily love the mixed peppers in them! Wait staff was super attentive and friendly it was clear they enjoyed working there! Coffee was yummy too, fresh and strong! This is my family’s new go to spot! Check it out!

I was looking for a new restaurant to try and came across this one on Unilocal and I was pleasantly surprised. I came here this morning with my boyfriend and my parents. We arrived at 10am and had no problem getting a table. I ordered the whole wheat pancakes with a side of 2 eggs. My boyfriend ordered the whole wheat waffle with fruit. My mom ordered a vegetable omelette. My dad ordered a get and spinach omelette. The eggs come with home fries/french fries and toast/bagel. My pancakes were great; flavorful, somewhat dense and filling but delicious none the less. Everyone was very happy with their meal. The staff was wonderful– attentive and very friendly. Reasonable prices. We will definitely be back!

Horrible service! Don’t come here! Want to give them a zero but have to give them something. Waited with children at 0900 — didn’t get asked for orders until 0915, which took us to get their attention. Still forgot to bring any drinks that we asked for — No consideration for kids. The thing that was extremely frustrating was a another customer who came in after us — is already done with his meal and we are still waiting for ours — don’t come here — they suck!

Great service. We came with our one year old baby and they were very good with her. Their brunch kids menu came with milk or juice in a sippy cup which I appreciate as opposed to just a smaller cup. Their kids’ menu included one egg with potatoes, mac and cheese, silver dollars, etc. They weren’t cheap with the napkins either, and kept the hot coffee and plates away from her without being asked. All seems obvious but it doesn’t come natural to everyone and all restaurants. Refills were fast. Food was quick and tasty. Reasonable priced especially for the area. While not amaaaazing, it was very satisfying. Loved the carrot cake(although the carrot decoration itself was this weird gooey texture). Staff was friendly as can be. I can see why it’s rated highly. We’ll be back.

It’s right off of northern blvd and on douglaston pkwy. Parking can get tough so best bet is park along northern blvd. It’s not a typical diner where they have a lot. It’s a small restaurant sandwich in between two stores. We got there at 8:30am and service was unbelievably slow. The food was average. Nothing amazing out of the things we ordered. I probably would never go there again.

This place wasn’t bad. We were hungry and needed somewhere to grab brunch quickly on a Saturday afternoon. It was cheaper to order from the regular menu instead of the brunch menu for breakfast. Me and my boyfriend both had the waffle with eggs and bacon. Our waffles were overcooked.

I will not be ordering from this diner again, nor will any of my staff members. I placed an order today with Parkway Diner, granted the delivery took under 30 minutes, which concerned me. I order a Bacon Deluxe Burger, when I went to bite into the burger it was completely raw! Only the outside cooked, I had to throw the entire meal out what a waste of $ 15 dollars. I will be sueing this establishment if I happen to get sick.

Great little diner off of Northern Blvd that I stopped in a couple of weeks ago, for breakfast. I had the Lumberjack combo plus a side of home fries and, as starving as I was, I couldn’t put it all away. My order consisted of Challah French Toast, copious amounts of bacon, two eggs sunny side up, coffee, and OJ(and the aforementioned home fries). Everything was simply delicious and plentiful. The French Toast was just crispy enough on the outside but eggy and fluffy on the inside. It was not too sweet and a little maple syrup set it off just right. The bacon was crispy and delicious and the eggs were perfectly made, soft, and beautiful. The side of home fries was HUGE! Like the French Toast, the fries were crispy and fluffy/soft in all the right places. I came in famished and left absolutely stuffed. As a matter of fact, I couldn’t think about lunch until mid-afternoon…and I didn’t even care. The greeter/cashier and server were both super friendly and welcoming. They even welcomed me to come back as I was leaving and — as minor as that may sound — you don’t always get that in this area. I would say they gave me the service and warmth I would expect when I shell out big money at a fancy restaurant. I don’t expect that from a(reasonably priced) diner or similar establishment. Parkway is easily my favorite diner in the area and it surpasses other more well known and larger diners in the vicinity. I’m definitely coming back here.

Like this local diner … not many in Douglaston. Their coffee is not great but their food is good. I liked the burgers and the fries. Esp the fries with cheese and gravy. The breakfast food is your standard diner fare. Pricing is a little competitive esp for a diner in a small hood like Douglaston but it’s open late and the service is friendly. Give it a try and see what you think. I measure a good diner by it’s soups, burgers, and service. I’ll go back just because I’d like to see it succeed. They could use a few improvements especially marketing their desserts. I’ve never ordered them but see them in a refrigerated glass case. The staff should try and sell it!

i come from the home of diners, jersey that is and i have to say, Parkway Diner was pretty good based on my standards. They have what seems to be the basic diner food and some creative options, but everything was really tasty. their hollandaise sauce was perfect, not salty(which is what ive had issues with in the past), not too buttery or thick. the poached eggs were cooked perfect and my avocado was fresh — i had the califronia eggs benedict of course. My date had the graham cracker and nutella pancakes, not gonna lie we both thought the pancakes should have these inside of the pancakes but overall he was happy with them. To say they were filling was an understatement. The service was quick and on par, the servers deff. took care of us.

My friend and I came here for brunch this afternoon and it was delicious. The diner is cute and cozy. We both ordered off the Brunch menu which was around $ 13 each. My friend ordered the pancakes with eggs, bacon and toast. I had the Cali Benedict which was supposed to be poached but came out cooked. I sent it back with no problem and it came back perfect. The food was delicious. We were so stuffed. Will definitely go back again.

Me and my friend sat at a booth meant for four so that way my handbag can have her own seat lol! There were many pages to flip through the menu but thank god one page just dedicated to Brunch for $ 13.35 with any choice of beverages! My friend ordered a Cali Eggs Benedict with a cup of Decaf Coffee and a glass of OJ. I ordered a Hungry Jack Pancakes(2) with sunny side up eggs, bacon, white toast and just a glass of Cranberry juice… no caffeine for moi! Holy moly what I order is meant for a trucker so much food. My friend cut through her eggs but there wasn’t any delicious yellow yolk oozing out of them. Seriously how can someone messed up on Eggs Benedict. As she waited for her food, I started devouring my massive meal lol! There’s no refills on juices except for the sodas so I was sad because I love Cranberry juice =) The new Eggs Benedict that my friend got from the kitchen were on point and lots of yolk and she enjoyed her dish very much! Definitely a great brunch spot and very yummy!

This diner just opened up so I was skeptical to try it at first. But my mom told me when she went with my father, that it was really good, so I decided to try it for myself. I have to admit, my mom was right. Their food is yummy. And the service is attentive. I also get what I ask for. Could it be my new favorite diner? Yeah.(Sorry to my old favorite diner, you’ve been replaced).

Great Diner Service Your coffee is refilled frequently. Asked for bacon and home fries extra crispy Pancakes are soft and fluffy. Everything came out right in a jiffy. The delicious sausages were really large and juicy. This cozy joint has an old school feel with classic comfy booths. Easily could be a regular here.

This place opens at 7am and just what we needed when kiddo woke at 6am. The eggs, corned beef hash and crisp bacon were made perfectly with i’d say with fresh ingredients. The service was nice in that he served the child first(after he had about 5 strawberry jams on the table). Clean, nice décor, and fresh food. 2 hour Metered parking out front. We’re glad we chose this over IHOP.

Parkway Diner is a brand new diner that opened up in my ‘hood. Prices are alright. Bit more expensive than an IHOP I’d say. The HUGE breakfast sausages were pretty awesome, never had the kind they serve. Sunny side up was cooked up spot on, and pancakes were pretty good. Despite the diner being brand new, I must say that the décor style seems a bit dated, however it’s VERY clean in there, which is something I definitely love to see. Too many old dirty diners out there, some may argue that it bring a charm to the table, but I disagree. haha. Looking forward to visiting Parkway again for a nice weekend breakfast/brunch.

What a pleasant surprise! A local Diner that is close by and good eats! So if you’re from the neighborhood, you know the gap that Scobee left a few years ago. It was either go to Seven Seas or Bayside Diner for your Diner Food Fix. Well now you don’t have to! This little Diner serves a good choice of dishes with great quality and a very friendly staff. Not to say that Seven Seas isn’t great, but now there is a more economical and good quality alternative. It is worth your trip and you can make up your own mind! I do offer my recommendation! Look for parking on Northern Blvd. before you get to Douglaston Parkway! This is probably the only drawback, finding Parking!
