Bacon pancakes were hearty and delicious. I ordered the omelet and added bacon, provolone, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, and hollandaise sauce. Oh man! So rich and flavorful. Service was good, prices were awesome!!! I’ll be back for another omelet for sure!

This place is a true gem in Dover New Hampshire. Great homemade fresh food, served with a smile. The biscuits are truly incredible! Very reasonable prices, comfortable, casual atmosphere and the food was delicious.

It’s tough to determine how many stars they deserve because even though the dining room had patrons eating and they close @ 2 pm on Sunday’s, you could tell that although we arrived at 1:45 pm they were more interested in closing then they were on waiting on us. So you should assume that although they close at 2:00 pm Tuesday thru Sunday they actually close at 1:00 — 1:30. It was their loss and Café Espressos gain. Not only were the people at Café Espresso happy to see us but instead of 2 Home Cooks gaining new Sunday customers, they led us right into their competitors arms. I know for a fact that a few of their diners around the area would sit new customers 1 minute before closing, that’s why at least one of them has been in business for 50 years. If they continue down the path of not sitting new customers so close to closing time, then I’m afraid this place may not last long in such a competitive type of business.

I stopped by here one morning with a friend while visiting NH. Their service was very fast and friendly. Our waitress was very sweet, but even the other waitresses that interacted with us were very nice.
The food was great! It was a plus to be able to have the option to watch the two cooks make our meals in front of us. The sausage in our dishes were delicious so I recommend trying it!
Great place. Would definitely go back whenever I am around the area.

Best breakfast in Dover. Been here at least a half dozen times now and it is consistently great. Service is very friendly. The food is always fresh. They run out of menu items sometimes, which just tells you that your are not eating frozen crap. Can’t go wrong with anything here but the pancakes are addicting.

Waited for 30 min for a table but at the end I can say food is amazing… The name of restaurant «Home» Cooks perfectly suits them. After a very long time (almost 3 years) I felt like I had my Mom cooked food. Thank you 2 Home Cooks…

I work downtown and noticed this place when I started parking in the new garage. I arrived there for lunch around 1230. I was warmly greeted by the staff. I sat at the counter and the waitress came over with the menu and took my drink order after telling me they were out of meatballs and roast beef. The menu is a small which didn’t leave many options. The waitress came back before I had the chance to settle in and asked if I knew what I wanted and tried to get me to order the thanksgiving everyday plate. I asked for a little time and asked for eggs benedict when she returned only to find out they were out of hollandaise. She stated they made everything fresh everyday that is why they were out. I ended up eating tomato soup and grilled cheese. The tomato soup might well have been onion soup. so many onions and little actual tomato flavor. The woman next to me ordered crepes and they came from a package with their fresh topping. Just left me wondering when I need to get there to have full menu available to order from.

Finally made a visit to this place for breakfast and I’m not totally disappointed. A few things were a little wonky. I got an underdone pancake and everything had a faint flavor of everything else that their single griddle had to offer. The coffee was a bit bland for my liking. However, the menu is small and manageable. You could watch all your food being cooked right there. The prices aren’t too bad. And the bacon slices are as thick as your hand. Not really but you know what I’m talking about. All in all, a standard café breakfast. Which is better than some in town but not as good as others. But theyre new so they have time to get into the groove. Either way, its a pretty good place in the perfect location right near the parking garage. I suggest people try it out for themselves. I give it 4 Noms!

My husband and I have had lunch and breakfast there and it was very good it’s very clean and bright and the people are very friendly, they also sell pies cookies and muffins and they are so good. definitely will be back.

Fantastic atmosphere and customer service. The company is great but the food is better.

Amazing homemade pancakes and the apple topping was cooked with fresh apples and their special spices. Throw in maple syrup on the table and this was an amazing breakfast.
They slid me some of their homemade chips on the way out the door and I was smiling as I ate them and walking down town.
Great place with a crew that engages you as a customer. Definitely coming back for the chipotle pulled pork.
