Great bagel place. The bagels are a bit«breadier» than I normally like. I like that really dense New York style. Their cream cheeses are amazing though. If you are in Dover and want a quick breakfast this place is a top contender. The bagel sandwiches are awesome too and not too pricey.

Super cute interior, very cozy. Had a bagel, which was good, nothing too special though. My brother’s turkey sandwich was delicious. But let me say this: best latte I’ve had in a long time. And I do love me a good latte. I wish they were opened just a little later in the day, too many times I’ve missed them but just a bit.

Bagel Grounds is under new management/ownership. We were regulars prior to the change and are still frequent customers. The bagels are different but still excellent. The cream cheese still appears to be homemade. The new owner is an absolute delight! We usually stick to bagels and cream cheese so I can’t say much about the other menu offerings. They have great coffee and I love the décor and changes to the interior that the new owner has made.

Great bagel sandwiches and friendly staff. I’m dropping one star though because the salt bagels just aren’t as good as they were under the previous ownership. The former owners turned me into a salt bagel fiend and I’ve been chasing that dragon ever since.

New owners. I don’t think they make their own bagels, they taste like the ones from the supermarket. Everything only had poppy seeds and onion, nothing else on it, and nothing on the bottom..

Nothing exceptional except for the wait time. I usually wait an average of 10 minutes for a bagel in the AM with maybe two people ahead of me. I really don’t know what takes them so long to toast a bagel, but they need to work to speed up getting the orders out.

Bagel with lox was out of this world. My husband ordered some type of breakfast sandwich that took awhile, but he enjoyed.

Friendly always a smile. If you are looking for a full breakfast, this is not your place. Great bagels and wraps. Nice place to sit outside and eat in good weather, or eat inside. I highly recommend bagel grounds.

I couldn’t wait to try this place. What a disappointment. I ordered a french toast bagel with bacon egg and cheese. The bagel tasted like a plain bagel, not like french toast. The egg was microwaved and I am assuming so was the bacon because it had no crispness to it at all and the cheese is just thrown on there, not melted. Altogether it was a sad, tasteless breakfast. Too bad. I wont be getting another one that is for sure. The coffee is good. Note to the owner: Go buy some electric grills from Wal-Mart so that you can actually cook the eggs and the meat. The microwaved food is disgusting.

Bagel Grounds is an awesome restaurant. Their staff is helpful and they always have a smile on their faces. The hot chocolate and bagels are as good as it can get, and the soup they serve is always hot and delicious. They also have a patio outside where you can eat near the river. I highly recommend Bagel Grounds to anyone looking for a good breakfast or lunch.

I read the other reviews and will just say travelers beware! The sign says«breakfast» but they don’t serve breakfast! They serve breakfast sandwiches only. The soup is from a bag, the breakfast sausage and ham are very low quality. The eggs are microwaved! The windows look like they haven’t been washed in a long time and our table was sticky AFTER they just cleaned it. The bagels? Good, but nothing to write home about. Overall, I felt it to be below average.

I’ve been here a couple of times and always gotten the same thing: the Woodman with cheddar. It is hands-down one of the best bagel sandwiches I’ve eaten. Their bagels are awesome! Fresh, soft and always perfectly toasted(I like mine well done). I always end up there around lunch time, but hopefully soon I’ll make it there for breakfast when I have a bagel craving. The menu is quite varied, especially for a little hole-in-the-wall kind of place. Bagel sandwiches, pizza bagels, bagel melts, lots of coffee, tea and other tasty beverages. Great little gem in Dover.

Great toasted bagel sandwiches with eclectic toppings to satisfy any yearning. Selection of teas, coffees, and other drinks(orangina) to quench a thirst. And you can eat your bagel outside on a lovely patio surrounded by flowers and overlooking the river and park or inside in cozy tables or even armchairs. Add a selection of seasonal sweet treats and you are in bagel heaven.

Delicious seasonal pumpkin bagels! And this was probably the best veggie cream cheese I have ever had… it was spicy! Very cute space along the river walk.

Me and my girlfriend love this place. She is from NY and this is the only place in NH she will order a bagel. The atmosphere is great. The patio is perfect for nice days and the exposed brick inside makes it a nice place to escape a cold winter day.

This is a perfect spot for a delicious iced coffee and a breakfast sandwich on a bagel. Bagel Grounds blows away any of the chains for quality and freshness.

My new favourite spot in downtown Dover! Unassuming, located on a side street behind a jewelry store on Central, this place has great food, great coffee, and an awesome location. You can sit on the patio outside, looking over the Cocheco, and they had no complaints about us bringing our dog. Or you have the cozy couches indoors, secluded if you want to read /study, or big enough for a group so you can play some Kinect or Scrabble! Everyone is so friendly, and they’ll help you through their many delicious fresh-baked bagels(poppy, onion, everything, asiago and french toast have been favourites), that are larger than most bakeries. As mentioned, they are also softer, and the texture varies appropriately by type.(eg, poppy is tougher while onion was lighter) And their cream cheese options! Jalapeño, olive/pimento, walnut/raisin, bacon/chive…all delicious, not too overwhelming, and I still have so many more to try. Can’t say enough about the Lox bagels, although they’ve been reviewed here pretty accurately. Perfect amounts of onion and capers, and $ 5; can’t complain. Year’s ago a Lox bagel at The Bagelry in Durham was a favourite, but the small portions and increasing price turned me off. Bagel Grounds will not disappoint, and surprise! Even the coffee is delicious. I’ve been looking for Guatemalan roast in town, and they have it. Haven’t tried the cappuccino, but watching them prep one and having smelt the aroma, I will be back for it. I can eat the Lox Bagel every day of the week, but I heard other customers rave about the Greek, the Chicken, and the make-your-own. Pity I don’t live close anymore, but I will definitely be back when I visit the Seacoast again and need an East coast bagel. Note: They are only a breakfast + lunch place. 7 days a week. Plenty of parking on Orchard St.

Ordered the egg and cheese on an asiago bagel. Sandwich was really quite tasty, with a generous amount of fluffy egg and melted cheese. The bagel is unconventional, it was softer than a typical«NY style» but it was still good. Price was really nice too($ 2.75). Not sure how long they’ve been around but it be nice to see some more sandwich options. Caramelized onions or avocado? They did have lox, capers, and tomato besides the regular cream cheese, pb, and jam options. Worth a visit and definitely a second! Oh and service was friendly and fast too. There’s also plenty of seating options. Maybe even outdoor? I thought I saw a patio with some tables and chairs but I’m not sure if it was their property.

LOX! I hope it stays on the menu forever. So hard to find a good bagel with lox here in the seacoast, but Bagel Grounds is my hero. Their lunch sandwiches are excellent too. Very friendly people. Quick service. Nice atmosphere. A welcome addition to downtown Dover.
