Ice cream is delicious, serving sizes are very generous, great flavor variety, and friendly staff. The only thing I would change is that they were open later and didn’t close so early in the season!

Great ice cream! Servings are huge, so my kids and I usually just share one. Only downfall is they closed SO early this season! We were super excited to walk down to celebrate the first day back to school with a scoop, but were totally bummed that they’d already closed

Large servings! Order the kiddie size, trust me. Rasberry explosion something rocks. Oreo coffee, so good. Line moves fast, people are friendly. Extra dish to contain the melting treat, no problemo. My favorite ice cream spot ever.

Huge servings! I think the people working here make a joke out of how large their servings are. Order a kiddie cone or suffer the drippy, melty ice cream drama(or just order a stupid styrofoam cup). Flavors are pretty good, but this summer they didn’t serve their best flavor ever, snickers :(. It was the perfect combo of vanilla ice cream with lots of caramel, crunchy peanuts and chocolate chunks. So annoying! Their coffee ice cream is bland — don’t bother. The java crunch has a better coffee flavor, but there’s too many coffee beans in it, which just over power the experience. Actually this goes for the butter crunch ice cream too — just too many crunchies! When I say«their ice cream» I’m really referring to Shain’s of Maine. Not that I care. Oh and they close absurdly early in the season. The weekend OF Labor Day, not after, but THATFRIDAY!

I don’t care that they don’t make their own ice cream… they carry Shain’s of Maine and that’s good enough for me! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Maine Tracks. Seriously… I have an addiction. The staff is friendly and is always willing to split an ice cream into two dishes to make my kids(2&5) happy. Which is a huge plus for any parent with little kids who will NEVER eat a regular size ice cream on their own but can absolutely not share a bowl with their sibling. Oh and the portions at Dover Delite are insanely large! Seriously… go for the small unless you’re wearing stretchy pants. I have never tried the food there… it’s an ice cream joint and I figure that’s what they do best… so I’ll leave it at that. But overall… great selection of flavors and great price. Love this place!

Ice cream shacks like this are popular in New England, but not so much in other parts of the country. This is one of those standard ice cream shacks, and they dont make the ice cream themselves, but it is awesome! I think they serve Shain’s of Maine brand ice cream. Mint Oreo Cookie, Maine Survivor, and Pistachio are some of my favs. They DO serve food as well… but I’m not brave enough to try the 2 lobster rolls for $ 14 deal!

Okay so Dover Delite doesn’t make their own ice cream, and their flavor selection isn’t as extensive as their nearest competitor, but I have to explain my four-stars. First, I am biased because I have an ice cream addiction and there aren’t many ice cream stands I wouldn’t go to. Second, the girl who works at the counter with the long black hair is cute. If you’re on Unilocal: will you marry me?(I swear not for the ice cream… maybe). Third, you can eat ice cream and watch the train come through(trains are cool). Fourth, their blueberry ice cream is freakin’ delicious. Also the other flavors are very good. I should warn you, the portions are on the generous side. If you don’t have an appetite, stick with a kiddie. You can always go back for seconds.
