Del Taco

Del Taco is always open, so when you’re not feeling super picky and just want to grab a bite to eat at any time from the comfort of your car, this is the spot to go to! I like their Ranch Chicken Rollers, their Chicken Soft Tacos, and their Spicy Jack Quesadilla.

The 2016 Unilocal 500, Review #105:
OK, I am not a Mexi-​Fast Food Dude. But because of the Unilocal badge I am here.
I have decided to dual stop in one day to get this out of the way.
Cheap-​o menu items:
I had a Turkey Taco ($ 1.40) it was good but, that is because it comes on what they call a «crunchy» taco. Now, flavor-​wise it didn’t compare to the rest of my purchased items.
Next, I had a Grilled Chicken Taco ($ 1.00). I was hoping it would have been another hard taco… alas, I guess because I didn’t specify, the guy gave me a soft taco (which I don’t care for). The chicken itself was very flavorful. I enjoyed this the most of the three items I ordered.
Last up was a Chicken Roller (Ranch flavored; $ 1.00). This was a nice, creamy ranch experience, as it complimented the rest of the ingredients nicely. It did however fall short in beating the Grill Chicken Taco — flavor-​wise — by a long shot.

So on Mother’s Day today I go around 11:45pm craving tacos because the always fill them with a good amount of beef and cheese. So I get there. So my friend is ordering & the girl working couldn’t hear him when he was seriously yelling. Then we get to the window apologizing but last minute I saw the nacho burrito so she gave us a weird face «we don’t have a nacho burrito «so I’m like anything similar that’s what it said? & my friends like I’m not sure maybe like a number 9 she’s like no… Just pretty much making us feel stupid. So we let it go but we knew we would go around look at the picture to make sure we were right. So I get my order and the tacos have like no beef on a scale of 1 – 10 it was like a 2 on beef and like one patch of cheese and another of lettuce I felt like I was biting on a taco shell with nothing in it. I was mad because I felt it it was done on purpose because I never have a problem going at night my taco always come out just right. I was just very disappointed with her attitude. & we left went around & parked the car my friend got off walked to the menu said «really it was a number 10 and it’s called a nacho CHEESE burrito» like really because we forgot to say cheese? It surprise me because it’s like she probably knew what we meant she just didn’t help us out. So ridiculous.

I had pretty good customer service. The cashier was very respectful and I was ordering food for my friends. The cashier told me that they had a special on Thursdays. I never knew that. Overall, food was great. For some reason the chicken soft tacos taste a lot better there then some other areas. Found my new del taco spot.

The best fast food place in Downey ! Service /​staff is fantastic, always friendly. Love the food for the good quality and low prices. Can’t beat their ice-​coffee.

I know this might sound weird because Del Taco is a taco chain but try out their hamburger. I’d have to say it is pretty good. You can tell they use quality angus beef and the shredded iceberg lettuce gives it a nice crisp. It’s like if the Double Double and a Big Mac had a baby!

Here is my analysis on this particular Del Taco, any other Del Taco I would not rate a 5star. I am not too much of a fan but I do like the Macho Combo burrito because I substitute the regular meat for Steak meat and it’s a decent burrito. Aside from that, I must say the staff has always been top notch throughout the years! I have been to many fast food places and nobody compares to this Del Tacos friendliness. Always greet you politely and I that is a huge plus in my book. And it’s not just one particular employee, it doesn’t matter who attends to my order I always get asked how my day was or I get a thank you and your welcome. So great customer service

My favorite Del Taco since high school. Its cheap, reliable and always tasty. The employees are also pleasant every time I’ve been here.

I love del taco, and this is my favorite store. When I come here I am always greeted by helpful employees. The place is well maintained and the food is always prepared right. I can count on my visit to be enjoyable knowing I’m coming here. If you never been here order the big fat chicken tacos there the best.

The food is standard fast food and the meals tend to be pricey even more if you make it a bigger size. What makes them good is the set up they have, you get that nice restaurant feeling with the tables having all the hot sauces and ketchup, extremely clean and the best of all is the awesome AC it got, with this hot weather that’s the place I can spend my lunch.

This is one of the best Del Taco’s I’ve been to. I love their fish tacos and the green chili burritos. Both are quite good and you can’t go wrong with their prices! The service is great inside the place as well as going their drive thru (never had a problem with missing food or getting over charged).

Came here a couple of days ago and had the double del burger. it was great!!! But I think its the only thing that would make me visit this place again. Oh. And the girl at the register… :)

I love this Del Taco! I am not kidding, they are all very customer service oriented! I am never disappointed at the staff. Always friendly, courteous and accurate!

I don’t know how the 49 cent tacos are 49 cents but I sh*t u not they are awesome for 49 cents. I could shove three crunchy tacos down my gullet with some del scorcho, mmmmmm. better than TACO SMELLS anyday anytime.

So I go out for lunch with my brother. He asked me what I wanted. I usually get a Macho Nacho and regular crunchy taco. So That’s what I ordered + a small drink. So There was no other drinks besides Soda which I’m trying to avoid besides Minute Maid «Light» (yuck). So I started looking for Iced Tea. They had iced tea in a pitcher (dirty looking pitcher) on the counter. Next to the iced tea were sliced lemons and a container with strawberry syrup. So since I was definitely not going to drink that nasty looking iced tea, I’d just throw in a slice of lemon and some «strawberry syrup» to make this nasty Minute Maid Lemonade «light» not so light. The lady at the counterscold me, «that’s only for people who bought strawberry lemonade». Like «DUH» why the hell would you leave it out for customers to have access to then? She quickly moved it and I told her I didn’t know that.
Honest;y I didn’t even know they sold Strawberry Lemonade.
My brother and I decide to eat outside so that we could smoke and I went back inside to get the food after 6 mins. Food wasn’t there yet. So I just waited there and while I was waiting I looked at the menu to see if they did sell strawberry lemonade. They did, it was $ 1.59 compared to the $ 1.49 drink I purchased. No biggy. I didn’t want anymore as the lady didn’t know how to act when I innocently thought the condiments were avilable for everyone. So still waiting for my food, another 5 mins. Another lady told me out of no where, «the strawberries are for people who buy strawberry lemonade only» out loud for the whole dining area and kitchen to hear. I wasn’t even thinking about the strawberries anymore! LOL I just wanted my food. I told that lady, «I’m pretty sure if I waned it I could afford $.10, but i don’t want it anymore»
So i finally got my food. My crunchy taco consisted of the taco shell, the beef, and cheese. WTH?! Is that even a taco? So I took it back to them and the lady acted as if I was going to take the strawberries! LOL I gave her the damn taco and told her «I didn’t know tacos didn’t come with lettuce either». They gave me another taco with lettuce.
Ugghhhh what ruhhhtards.

I don’t like their «Mexican» food at all. I actually prefer their double del burger and fries over other fast food stops
