Lady handing the drive thru named Yolanda was rude, after messing up on my transaction… Disappointing, then wanted me to lie that I forgot to give them the coupon on a paper so they would not get in trouble.

Chipotle burrito is good and I recommend because their have a really good salsa and sabor.

Now I know why its called Pollo Loco. It’s because you would have to be crazy to eat here. I ordered one thing got complete opposite as I ordered chicken bowl an received shrimp instead. Did not realize until I got back to work. Not worth my time to complain to them or go back there so here I am complaining on Unilocal.Would have given one more star but food was bland so go at your own risk. Read all the reviews on here. You have been warned.

Terrible… second el pollo loco here near Norwolk, CaI stopped by and they ran out of chicken. No need for any other details or reviews when the main reason people go to el pollo loco is for the chicken. Common, stock up.

Fast, Accurate, & Amiable.
I cannot get tired of saying that when an order is given which accuracy, plus the quality of food was very good. I ordered a poblano avocado burrito, I appreciate the fact that the burrito was wrapped up well and tight, so the food will not fall.
I went around 330 pm, there were not many cars in the drive-​thru which was great.
I will come back.

Decided to stop here after the gym for a quick SALAD for dinner… worst mistake ever. The 2 teenage boys working at the registers were sweet and were trying their best to get me my order quickly. After all it was a simple chicken salad. Unfortunately the comadres in the back along with the manager made this experience hell for them. Comadre was throwing the bottles of sauce everywhere throwing quesadillas wherever they landed… spoons were being switched and swapped in between all the sides. It was total chaos and ultimately made me loose my appetite. How does this pollo loco even run? Or pass health grades? I understand working in the fast food industry is hectic but there’s no reason for this.

I live close to this location so it’s the first place I think of when I’m in the mood for chicken. All three times that I’ve been here I’ve received horrible service. Seriously, I’ve worked fast food before, the easiest thing you can do is give customers good customer service. Even worse that this place is literally always out of something. Don’t think I’ll be back.

No matter what time of the day and how short the line is you’re guaranteed a long wait. The staple is chicken… how do I get bone dry chicken?! I am so confused. Service is mediocre. & don’t dare have a coupon, draaaaammma. Once I had one from the mail they didn’t even know about –_​– please skip this location.

This is the worst El Pollo Loco I have ever been to! They ran out of everything at 4pm! They couldn’t even provide mixed pieces

So I’m writing these while I’m I’m the drive thru waiting for my $ 5 pollo bowl. I was here yesterday night also and while I pulled up to order they asked me «welcome to pollo loco what can I get for you» and I said what I wanted and Noone replied. I replied «Hello» and I was there for 5 minutes without a response. Pretty annoying i would say but I figured maybe they are having problems with there speakers it’s okay. While they took my order I ordered hot sauce on the side. When I got to my house, my hot sauce wasnt there. I should have looked but I was frustrated of waiting. Today I came again, figured It wont happen again and unfortunately it did. I hope they look at these reviews and if they are having problems with there audio while taking orders they need to fix it.

How in the hell do you run out of chicken?!
I was waiting in the drive thru line for 15 minutes, and when I drive up to the speaker, she tells me that they don’t have chicken. WTF?! How does that happen?
Then I told her I would wait outside and have her bring it to me because I can’t get off the car to wait inside, and she tells me she can’t bring it to me because she doesn’t know how busy she’s going to be.
Ridiculous.

Place gets too hectic. From parking lot to walking in. Management needs to be appreciated and it needs to come down from them. Foods good, nice changes but the wait time, salsa bar needs to be improved. SMALL COUNTER SPACE & SMALL SALSA BAR «I guess with what they have to work with; small parking lot, long waits to get in, get parking, get the order taken, small salsa bar, small servings suck. Management needs to be hands on at all levels of Customer Service.

Sad to say that I had to give this place one star. It’s the first time I think I’ve done it. The reason why is that this locations service is REALLY SLOW! IT TOOK ME 25 MINUTES TO GET MY FOOD!!! 25 MINUTES!!! And this is supposed to be a fast food place. And I wasn’t the only one. Other people were complaining too that they shouldn’t be having to wait 17 minutes or more for their food. Very disappointed in this location. They are catering to much to the drive thru an ignoring the dining room customers. I don’t see myself returning to this location until some major improvements are made!!!

Omg ok so I love pollo loco but this one in downey they never have Anything avail for ex I came here on a weekend order $ 100 worth of chicken for my fam they tell me no side orders avil only French fries what??? And I said fine give me all French fries the bag of fries is like half way full. Gave this place another chance and I order my salad no cilantro sauce avail and if you go drive threw they will totally mess up your order!

El Pollo Loco in Downey on Firestone was the first of this restaurant chain I’ve ever tried (3÷16÷15) for Bookmark Monday.
Unfortunately I wasn’t that crazy for it.
The good:
— the girl at the window allowed my coupon for a $ 7 ultimate double shrimp bowl
— aside from the shrimp, the food tasted mostly fresh and hot
— Normally this bowl is $ 8.49, but with tax of $.63 I got a very large portion of food (just food, no drink) for $ 7.63.
The bad:
— drive-​thru is a horrible wait… people think other cars are trying to cut the line when they are just trying to find a parking lot.
— the shrimp was kind of rubbery and the flavor was a bit too lemony or something for my liking
The ugly:
— The parking lot can be a disaster for people who want to dine-​in because cars waiting for drive-​thru basically magnetize to the car in front of them and sink into their oblivion…
— It took me a long time to try this place, but I’m glad I did. It has potential for a nice lunch, just not this location for me guys. Sorry.
Tips:
— Go before the rush hour lunch crowd (but even then people block the intersection and do «crazy» things in their cars for El Pollo…
— Your receipt details ways how you can get free food. Perfect for those hungry kids, teenagers, braindead college students, and alike. Unfortunatley, I have to write an update. About the middle of 2014, my dad & I ordered our usual meals in the drive-​thru. When the bag was handed to us, we got the smell of raw chicken. We shrugged it off thinking since we’re in front of the window maybe the wind caught the smell or something — trying to justify it was even uncomfortable. We got home and sure enough, the containers stunck of raw chicken. The chicken itself was pink straight down the middle. We ended up tossing it and ordered a delivery thai food that ended up being way more satisfying. Now I opt to drive 10 more minutes to the Lakewood location.

Nothing out of the norm for a Pollo Loco.
Ordered their mango grilled tostada. The tostada was stale but other than that, the food was good. Their mango salsa is just delicious.
Never been inside the restaurant, therefore I can’t say anything about it. Their drive thru is not the fastest and their customer service is not the greatest.
Would I go back? Maybe if I’m around the area, feeling lazy not wanting to get off the car, and craving their mango salsa, maybe I’ll make an exception.

Pulled up to the drive thru and was told to wait… i waited and waited… for about 10min. (that’s a pretty long time if you’re just sitting there) After she was going to take my order she was very rude. I pulled up to the window and a guy charged me with really bad customer service skills. When I got to work and opened my Tostada Salad the avocado was completely brown! Disgusting! I rather drive a little more and go to a different location.

Came here order food. How can be a chicken place is out of chicken breast
