Buddy L Construction

After a recommendation on a Facebook group, I contacted Buddy Lawrence​of Buddy L Construction. My 29 year-​old metal roof is now in excellent shape. After the recent heavy rains «pointed-​out» the weaknesses in my roof, Buddy quickly analyzed the needed repairs and completed them last week for less than half the cost of another bid we received. His repairs were even more extensive and included rake flashing not addressed by the other company. My wife and I are very happy with the results.

I was in desperate need of gutters for my home after it almost flooded 3 times due to poor construction by the General Contractor. Buddy L Construction came to my rescue! They installed seamless gutters with guards, their price was great, the work was perfection! I would highly recommend them to anyone that is in need of the services that they offer. After moving to the Dripping Springs area and buying a new house we experienced a very heavy storm with strange winds. Our fence was blown over and several of our neighbors had shingles missing and severe roof damage. We called them and they came by the same day to check our roof to see if we had any damage. They spent a while on our roof and did not find any damage. They did not charge of for coming out and checking. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Was referred to us through a neighbor. Not the best experience. A rep came by to do a walk through on some roofing and framing repairs we needed done… after waiting for three weeks and following up a few times with no response (obviously, I should have taken the hint) I finally got the owner on the phone. After blundering on for a minute or two, I was told that our project was ignored because it’s «just not something we want to get into.» Roof repair? Isn’t that what you do? I suppose they are fortunate enough not to need new business or positive word of mouth, as that was our takeaway.

We had Buddy’s crew come and give an estimate for a new roof on the house. I saw the job they did on my neighbors house and liked the job they did. I opted for a metal roof vs shingles. They explained the pros and cons of each kind of roof. Their bid was actually a little less than the local roofer I had planned to use. That roofer had the highest bid of all I had gotten. I did my homework and glad we chose Buddy. They made the panels on site and finished the job fast. They replaced the rotten wood on the back patio cover. When that porch was added a couple of years earlier that guy put the wrong kind of shingles on it and it started leaking. Since they put on the metal roof we have not had anymore problems. We also had them install 2 solar tubes, one for each bathroom. I am amazed at the difference those solar tubes made to lighten
up those dark bathrooms. We don’t have to turn on a light when the sun is shining. That should help cut down the electric bill some over time. When the job was complete I found out they installed gutters. We then had them do that job too. Right after the job was done it rained and golly that water rolled off into those gutters filling my barrels full. We have had a few showers since the new roof was put on and we don’t hear any noise from the metal roof. Now if they only made cisterns, hint, hint. That will be our next project. We are quite pleased with their job and very satisfied. We recommend them highly. Stacy J in South Austin.
