I wish I could rank Mark better. He seems like a pleasant and easy to work with person. Unfortunately, it is all an act. He installed a solarium roof for us. 2 years later it still leaks and even floods with heavy rains. I call him and text him repeatedly, yet he rarely responds. Finally today, after waiting 5 months from when he was supposed to fix things, he shows up with a caulk gun and messily tries to patch a few areas. He even admitted that it wasn’t going to help, but that was all he would do. Now I feel lucky that he never showed up for our last project – a room addition. We had the foundation poured and electrical done. Day after day Mark would text me with a creative excuse as to why he couldn’t start working. After 4 months, I realized he was a compulsive liar and it was time to move on.

Mark is fantastic! I contacted him to change the light bulbs on our unnecessarily high porch lights. He was in the neighborhood and emailed us to see if he could come replace the bulbs, but we weren’t home. So, he went ahead and exchanged the bulbs with the ones from our garage lights(that are only 5 feet up and thus easy to change) and left us a courteous note letting us know what he did for no charge! He definitely deserves the«Granny’s Guy» title. I’m sure she’s very proud of him!

In May of this year I purchased a coupon off Living Social that was an AWESOME deal. I called in October to schedule the service and Mark and his helper completed the job(changing out a ceiling fan). Service was quick and efficient. Mark and his associate were able to center our fan moving it from it’s original spot in the living room to a more centered spot. After he was done, he noticed that he lost his keys(truck) and had to go back up into the attic. While Mark was in the attic checking for the keys he must have slipped and stepped through the ceiling and created a large crack. He had to have known he did it but didn’t mention it and I didn’t notice till after he left. When I emailed him with problem, he promised he would take care of it as soon as possible. He emailed me back(Oct 29) that he would schedule a time to come back out. I’ve emailed him on Nov 2, 5, 16 and 25 with no response whatsoever. While the initial service was great, for me it’s the service after purchase and customer satisfaction that are most important to me. Getting what I paid for and making it right if something goes wrong. Unfortunately that didn’t happen. Needless to say, I still have a crack in my ceiling and I will have to «HIRE» someone else to come out and make those repairs. Granny’s Guys weren’t supposed to cost any more than what I paid for the coupon. I had initially thought I had found a great handy person to come out and do occasional repairs around my house. NOT!!!

Mark did a great job! I left a 5-star review because on every aspect of the job Mark was awesome. We had Mark install an attic ladder for us in a spot where there was no previous access. In addition to this we also decided to have him install decking and a light with a switch. He was extremely fair about the quote and gave us a great price. We supplied the parts and he supplied the labor. In some cases he even bought the materials and had us reimburse him for the exact cost without marking up at all; in other cases he actually went with us to the hardware store and helped pick out the best materials at the most reasonable prices and hauled off the materials for us since they wouldn’t fit in our car! We are already planning on going with him on additional projects as he not only worked hard, he did everything the right way leaving it looking perfect! If you’re looking for a hard worker, a genuinely nice guy, and the best price then Mark is your guy! Thanks again for the great work!
