This is our favorite place to eat Japanese food in the area. The food is tasty and plentiful, the service is excellent and friendly, and the music is awesome. Chef Tanaka knows his sashimi. I highly recommend ESushi!

Everything about this sushi place is great! The food, the price, the people, the music and the place are just awesome! Crispy crab roll and Lion King are the top two favorites.

Love everything about this place. Their Sushi is always fresh, customer service rocks, and to topmost off the sushi chef loves Elvis… hence the name E=Elvis Sushi!

Disappointed after seeing lots of good reviews. The staff was very friendly. But the rice was old, as some of it was literally crunchy and not soft. It felt like the rice was left out to dry before it was served. I was there at 2PM, so perhaps they ran out of fresh cooked rice. I ordered the lunch bento 2combo items, and the rolls were not good(below Trader Joe’s level). I expected better for the price. If it was $ 7, I would’ve still enjoyed it, but not at $ 10.99+tax. I’ll go back to Yanagi or Amakara next time.

Tanaka-son is a sushi superstar! Our favorite sushi restaurant. Food and service both amazing. This is a can’t miss spot! The variety of fish is astounding. It far surpasses any other sushi restaurant!

My husband and I LOVE this hidden treasure! We discovered E SUSHI7years ago when we were dating. Hands down the best sushi available on the mainland! Since we married and settled in the East bay. We have a standing reservation every Thursday. We always order nigiri sushi… Usually chef choice… Tanaka, the chef is amazing… Even though we visit so often we are always pleasantly surprised with the new fish that Tanaka is featuring… Our dinner is so special and delicious it is amazing that such a fantastic restaurant is still rather undiscovered. I wish a food critic would visit… The line of connisuirs would be waiting outside the door. No flight to Japan required… Just a short drive to Dublin California… And sushi heaven!!! Yes… You HAVE to try this place! After 7 years we are still amazed and thrilled about date night at E sushi!

The Elvis theme was cute but that’s about it. The fish did not taste fresh and the rice also seemed old. The rolls had the same odd taste sushi from grocery stores have. We won’t be back.

Tanaka San is a genius with his sushi and knife skills. He takes excellent care of my husband and I every week! Yuki is our lovely and recently married waitress, though she is so much more! Every time we visit with Tanaka San and Yuki, it feels more like visiting with friends than being Crazy loyal patrons. We love them, Elvis loves them, and God loves them!

Great, fresh sushi! They do a great job here, and have great service! They have updated the décor, and it looks great. It’s in a small strip mall, but you won’t be disappointed by the food!

The staff is friendly and the fish is fresh but the sushi pieces are huge. It lacks the feeling that you are eating something delicate. I did not find that appetizing.

It’s a trap! Terrible service. Our food came out after 1 hour… even after hassling them twice. They even took forever on our check. I’m only giving them 2 stars because the food was pretty fresh and we got seated quickly. Definitely not coming back if it’s busy.

Went in recently and just like always — consistently great! I’m usually a purist when it comes to sushi and not a big fan of sauces, but there’s just something about the sauces here that are perfect. They’re paired with the fish quite well and it’s such an elevated take on sushi. Can’t wait to try more stuff soon!

Nice sized Sushi restaurant. I ordered ‘to go’. Karen my server was very helpful in her suggestions. The décor is quite, nice and nothing out of place. I was very surprised how expensive this was. But perhaps I ordered too much. See, I don’t eat Sushi due to a medical condition, so I can’t tell you about the quality of the food. I can tell you that after I ordered, I saw that the portions seemed very large. So I think the place gets 3 stars. I may change that if my husband LOVES his dinner or drops dead from his dinner. If it’s the latter, it will be a while until I get back to Unilocal about it. I suspect I’ll be talking to lawyers etc… Oh, heavens you know what I mean. To me, the place looked clean, no fishy smell and a very helpful staff. 3stars. You know me, no valet parking –lose a star. No live music –lose a star. Yeh, I’m snotty but, I know what I’m talking about.

You know I love going here cause it’s super relaxed and no one judges you if you’ve had 2 bottles of 375ml sake by yourself. On this visit– Ron R. & I had the following: Nigori Sake @ $ 12.95 decent Hot House Sake @ $ 3.50 yumminess Japan Aji aka Horse Mackerel @ $ 39.99OMFG! Get it! Sweet sashimi that I don’t mind looking at me when I eat it!(Check my pics & like Em for real!!) Tonkatsu Ramen @ $ 11.95(good noodle but I used a lot of the S&B Nanami Togarashi(chili pepper) to flavor it up. Best sashimi & sushi here in the tri-valley IMO. Dragon Roll @ $ 11.95– decent unagi helped me to soak up the sake ;) If you’re in the tri-valley give this super casual & unpretentious sushi joint a shot!

It’s a «let’s find a nearby sushi place» kinda moment when we went that day. The place was currently only open during dinner time. The place is located on a tiny strip mall where parking is a little lacking during busy business hours. Came in and was greeted warmly by the hostess and seated right away. Took us only awhile to decide what to get since we knew what we were craving for. My Aunt wanted to eat some ramen but they don’t have any that time, bummer! Ordered sashimi appetizer, lion king roll, cherry blossom roll and volcano roll. Our order came with edamame and miso soup. Anywho, these sushi/sashimi didn’t excite me and there’s nothing really anything special to say about it. It’s a little on a bland side and to be honest, I’ve had better sushi somewhere else for the same price. It’s filling and our cravings were somewhat satisfied, but disappointed at the same time. Servers were very nice, aside from the one incident where I was flagging down a waitress and she totally ignored me and walked past by our table, thank goodness for this one very nice and attentive waitress though. Anywho, don’t know if I’ll ever come back to this place, even for spur of the moment deal. Good luck though!

Really enjoy this place. The Scotland salmon sashimi is my favorite. Monkfish liver is always yummy when the have it. I enjoy trying their sashimi specials as usually they are a hit. Like their lion king special spicy sauce. Spicy scallop hand rolls are great too. I prefer to sit as the sushi bar and se all the action. Here for their reopening and Tanaka IS here! He’s the best! Do t hear the Elvis music though so maybe it’s changed with the new décor(which looks great and more inviting!) So bummed some people don’t like this place more because I’ve never been disappointed here but I always order from the specials plus my Scotland salmon.

Friendly staff and the sushi is good quality. They have the classic American sushi(cali, spicy tuna, ect), but then they also make sushi of a higher quality. I recommend the sushi from their special quality menu, I always get the«Jesus loves me roll». Awesome! It’s more expensive but the quantity and quality will not disappoint. The non-sushi menu items are also very good.

3.5 stars. Why, E Sushi? I’ve been meaning to write this review for about a year, but every time I feel like giving them a 4-star review, my next visit is less than stellar. Then I’ll settle for giving them a 3-star review and they somehow work their way back up the following visit. So frustrating. I tend to like their specials which are listed on the whiteboard adjacent to the door. The Jeazus Awesom god roll was delicious. I believe it was fried baby octopus with some other things. Then some other rolls are pretty mediocre and lack freshness. Lunch bento boxes are just okay. I’m impressed by the fact they ankimo(monkfish liver aka foie gras on the sea) is on the menu but they never actually have it! Maybe because this is Dublin… Anyway I wouldn’t mind coming back. I just need to be careful about what I order.
