Seriously no star for this place. This place should close down too. DONTGOTHERETOEAT!!! Sushi is not fresh. I ordered blue crab sushi and the blue crab was stinky. It might make you sick if your stomach is not strong like me. The sushi rice on the roll was dry and they gave you so little fish on the roll. I dont know how long it was there on the plate before since they made the sushi and left it on the plate for you to choose. My bill was $ 20 for 4 plates and this place does not worth a dime. Save your money and eat at somewhere else. Definitely will make you sick after you eat it. Horrible sushi experience. Worst EVER!

Seriously, what ever compelled me to eat here? I love sushi and I am really picky about the quality of the fish. We sat at the conveyor belts and tried 3 rolls: red dragon, California volcano, and Baja tuna. What was wrong, you ask? 1. Bad quality fish. 2. Too much rice. 3. Rolls were poorly made and kept falling apart. My friend also ordered the sake spritzer, which is sake with grapefruit juice and ginger. It literally just tasted like juice with a splash of sake. Sorry, but I won’t be coming back. Why can’t I ever find a good sushi place with conveyor belts? Seems like they only exist in Hawaii and LA.

First time trying out this place. Pretty cool spot for a sushi restaurant. Right when we were seated, I got super excited to eat. I picked up the Spicy Tuna Roll. They are usually delicious when I get them at other restaurants, but the one I had here was not that great. The rice on it was hard and did not give me a good appetite. I also got the rice and chicken teriyaki lunch bowl. It was just very ordinary as if I bought it at Safeway or any grocery store. My gf got the tofu noodle lunch bowl and it was again just alright. The noodles looked dry and tofu was not the color that it should have been. The price was reasonable, so I guess I get what I paid for. The service was ok. No rude employees. We were acknowledged. Water was served right away, which is always a plus. I just tried this once, but I’m not sure if I will try again. There are other sushi great restaurants I can go to.
Thank Y.

If I could give this place no stars I would… The food tasted gross The service sucked It was way too expensive for what we got The only thing that was remotely positive was that the food moved on a belt The location is great but that will not carry a business. I doubt they will be there much longer if they don’t fix their food

They should be embarrassed to call themselves a Modern Japanese Cuisine. Nigiri Sushi rice made out of a machine? Seriously? You have enough employees working at one time that can make it by hand better then the machine makes it. Severs need to be more on point and attentive to their customers. Had to ask for water and wasabi. Sushi Boat makes better tasting sushi.

Interesting location for a sushi place, right in the middle of the shopping center! I’m not sure how«new» this place is, but the you can tell the servers need a little more training! I went here twice for takeout and dine in! I really liked the conveyer belt idea which reminded me of Genki’s sushi in Hawaii. I ordered: Ca rolls, unagi, and salmon rolls. The unagi was the only one I liked. I also ordered their salmon teriyaki bowl which was really good to my surprise! I was enjoying my bowl until the lady across from me who was also having a teriyaki bowl found a big piece of saran wrap in her bowl! I kinda lost my appetite after that since she was eating right across from me. Overall, this place has potential if they improve the quality of food they serve. It’s also very kid friendly as they offer a kid’s menu!

Smack in the middle of the mall, a giant leaf restaurant appeared! It’s super adorable but as much as I wanted to like it, the food wasn’t up to par. The service was very friendly and quick when there wasn’t a lot of people but once the place filled up, the servers seemed to panic a bit(things were thrown around a bit). As for the place, things were decent but tables could use a good wipe down. The concept of this place is adorable and I’ve always wanted to try one of these places. Each different color plate is a different price, just be careful between the red and purple plates(they kind of look similar). I had one sashimi dish but it didn’t really taste that fresh(taste like something fresh out of the freezer). We pretty much stuck to cooked dishes for the rest of the meal. The teriyaki was pretty good, not dry but could use a little more sauce. The kid’s meal was adorable, pb&j sushi, would’ve never thought of something like that could be a sushi. Unagi was pretty good too. Overall, this was a pretty interesting experience but I would’ve liked it much more if it was an indoor restaurant, not something smack in the middle of the mall. It’s a bit weird eating at having people walk by and stare at you. Final Thoughts: Decent sushi, adorable idea… but can be improved on.

If you’re going to eat here expecting good ass sushi, change that mind set. I should’ve told myself«do NOT eat here» at least 50 times before I decided to come to the mall. Eating here was literally my first meal of the day, so I had to eat something… First off, the hostess was talking to another worker and didn’t acknowledge us until my mom, sister, and I stood next to her. Having hosting experience, she should pay extra close attention to all guests that come into the restaurant. We were seated at the very end of the sushi bar. It is definitely not the best spot because people from the outside overlook you and start looking at the revolving sushi — which was so annoying and rude. Another thing was that our server was not attentive to us. We asked for 2 waters and 1 hot tea for my mom, but he didn’t even bring out the hot tea until my mom had to flag him down — and this was half way through our meal. Let me talk about the food. OFCOURSE it’s not top notch. But I suspected it to be at least«good». The sushi was obviously old on the belt. You can tell because the fish was turning brown. I ate only 3 plates of what seemed to look«ok to eat». One specially that caught my attention was the Crunchy Philadelphia Roll… The crunchy stuff tasted like Rice Krispy cereal. No lie. My sister and mom got rice bowls and they sucked ass!!! 1 salmon teriyaki with white rice and a shrimp teriyaki with fried rice. I at least had high hopes for this because how can you mess up on rice and an entrée? Well, they gave my mom 1 little piece of salmon and hella bland vegetables over bland rice. Same goes for the shrimp, I could’ve sworn there was only like 5 shrimps in there, all covered in bland veggies. Save your money and don’t eat here! It’s honestly only tempting to eat here because of how cool the revolving sushi belt looks. You’re better off eating an Auntie Anne’s pretzel.

I’ve certainly had better sushi than at Wasabi. This is more of a novelty to be able to pick sushi dishes as they glide by on the conveyor belt, and for convenience being in a central area of the shopping center. If you’re really hungry for a quick bite of sushi and don’t care about quality and freshness(some of those dishes rotated by multiple times untouched) then go ahead and grab a bite. Even the gyoza was very meh. Zen soba had been sitting long enough to be over saturated in sauce and was warm(soba should be cold.) The quality of fish would be on par with supermarket sushi. Probably a fun way to introduce kids to sushi as it looks like they have cute kids meals. Service was slow to start, there was a manager and other server training that basically acted like since we were not«their» table they didn’t need to pay any attention to us. Our actual server was very friendly but since apparently she was the only one actually on the floor, it was sometimes hard to flag her down when she was tending to a table further away where she couldn’t see us. If you want real authentic sushi with very fresh fish, you can find an actual Japanese/sushi restaurant elsewhere.

Not a fan. Service was good, area/restaurant was clean, idea is really cute but sushi was worse that supermarket sushi. Some sushi on the conveyor belt looked like it’s been there for a while, with browning avocado, rice that has been dried out a bit. We ordered our rolls because of that and they were not good. Small in size and the sushi rice tasted more like plain calrose instead of actual sushi rice. We think we saw the shrimp dumplings(super tiny) come out of the microwave and not a steamer. I really was hoping this place was going to be good because if the idea and location and this mall needing a sushi restaurant. But I didn’t think it would be THIS bad.

Dirty with sanitizer spray at the seating area we were led to, probably only spot cleaning, which was in the back of my mind when I ate the edamame that had fallen onto the table. The sushi was pretty good, though I only had the Sweet Potato Tempura($ 3.50), Avocado and Eel($ 4), and the Edamame($ 2.50), which came out to about $ 12.22. The conveyor belt was pretty scarce, with less than 10 different items to select from. Considering it was the end of the night, I understand, but definitely affected my purchase because it was inconvenient to order things not on the conveyor. The waiters and waitresses were extremely helpful and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. One part I really liked that distinguished this place from other conveyor sushi places I’ve been was that they had labels on each plate as it went around. The label included the name of the dish, plus if it was raw, spicy, and a couple other things. I really appreciated this because the last place I went to didn’t have labels and I had to awkwardly inspect the plates as they went around, trying to guess what they were. The waiter left the menus with us so we knew exactly what each plate had. Something I thought was interested was that they didn’t offer ginger. Even though I don’t like it, I know it’s a pretty standard condiment for sushi dining. Overall, prices were decent, service was great, amenities could be cleaner, but it certainly is a novel meal experience. You don’t come to the mall to come here, you come here because you were hungry while you were at the mall.

I really wanted to like this place! The concept and design seemed so interesting. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t up to par. I had the shrimp tempura roll, california roll, and the sweet potato roll. All were very underwhelming as the rice was dry and the sushi in itself lacked flavor. I didn’t dare take any more dishes off the belt, knowing that it wouldn’t be worth it.

I was shopping in the mall, and realized I was getting hungry for some lunch, and didnt’ want to wait until I got home. I saw Wasabi in the middle of the mall, away from the crazy greasy food court. It looked good, right there, so I said why not give this place a shot. I had to wait for sometime on a waitling list, as they said they had nothing open. I was dining by myself, I realized they had a spot in the corner, which I had to identify to them. Really, isn’t that your job? You are lucky Wasabi that I was hungry. Fail number one of this experience. The second fail was the sushi. I was soo not fresh, and the seaweed salad I got was soupy and goopy. Super gross. I mentioned this to the waiter, who appologized and comped me. Which was nice. I got the Bahn Mi Veg role in replace my seaweed salad, since I wanted some veggies with my meal. Bad mistake. Lacked veggies, too creamy and simply fell apart when you picked it up with your chopsticks, and I am the chopsticks expert! The only saving grace was my waiter. Though the place was busy, he came to check on me several times and was very nice. If it wasn’t for that, this place would be an epic fail for«dining» Bottom line, if you are in the mall, want to beat the food court and are starving, then this maybe an option. I would only advise to order something cooked off their menu, like their bowls, as their sushi is very weak and lacking freshness.

It was such a nice, transcending experience to eat at Wasabi. Wasabi should start: bringing drinks first and promptly, notifying a price before refill. Wasabi should continue: their excellent service and warm hospitality. Wasabi should stop: compromising their presentation and freshness on ingredients.

This place has great potential! Its very new — very trendy — but i think it needs time to kick in. There is a conveyor belt that goes around and has different colored plates to show the price for each plate. You grab what you would like and simply, eat! Obviously the food isn’t so fresh but eh. Thats where i subtract 2 stars. But unfortunately when I went, there was such a weird vibe including the fact that the staff were all probably under the age of 18. At least that’s what it seems like. As for the food — Shrimp tempura roll: very good, except the shrimp isn’t obviously freshly fried. California roll: really yummy Sweet potato tempura roll: I didn’t know it was a roll… i thought it was tempura until it was brought out. So Apparently they serve hot food fresh — yet the sweet potato was NOT warm and NOT crunchy fried. Our server was sweet. But very young. The manager also looks like and sounds like a dictator. He kept pointing things out for the servers to do but I saw him on his phone most of the time in the kitchen. I’d give this place another try.

Based off first impression, looks like a fun place to eat, however don’t be fooled. Once you sit down the service is less than adequate and seems to be ran by young kids with absolutely no clue. I wouldn’t usually mind this, but the lack of customer service and disinterest is a big concern for me. The seats we initially sat in were drenched in some kind of liquid, we had to relocate immediately; we weren’t going to sit there. To top it off the place was infested with flies. I quickly lost my appetite and refused to eat anything. There excuse? … They told me they scheduled a professional to come in the following day and get rid of the infestation, but honestly is that supposed to make me feel better? On a side note the manager dismissed our bill and we didn’t have to pay. They gave my 3 year old daughter a utensil kit and insisted we have a desert on the house. I couldn’t accept, I was over it as this point. Not sure if I’d ever come back, perhaps after they cleanup there act and«figure it out»

I waiver between one and two stars… We came here on a Tuesday late-afternoon, and there was a decent number of people seated. We were seated fairly quickly, but I would say that the rest of the service this stay was slow. I ordered my son a California Roll bento box. The waitress grabbed a California Roll right off the belt in front of me before heading away. I asked her if I should just grab it myself next time for the bento box, not knowing the procedure. She said no… so I am assuming I was not meant to see her taking it off the conveyor belt. ATLEAST try to make it less obvious. The California Roll itself was made with immitation crab and was horribly sawed apart. If that is what they all look like, I suggest they invest in some better knives. I grabbed a plate of edammae, salmon nigiri and a roll(spicy tuna?) off the conveyor belt. The edammae desperately needed some salt, and the roll was standard. The nigiri temperature seemed off, but it tasted fine. I decided on two stars because if I am at the mall and my son wants to eat here because of the fun moving plates of sushi that he gets to see, then I’ll let him eat here. BUT mostly likely only he will eat, I’ll snack or wait to eat later. So diners beware. Perhaps their customizable bowls are better, but you can get better sushi almost anywhere else, hands down.

Sushi Boat but on a extremely long conveyor belt… okay why not? I work relatively close to the mall so for the past week I’ve seen swarms of families eating here during lunch time. Decided it was worth a try. It was a 5 – 10 min wait when arriving. Sitting in the chairs in a busy mall I couldn’t really hear the hostess calling out names, I asked her what name she just called out and she looked at me like I was crazy, she said Michael, so I waived over to my friend«no not us» then she looks at me again and says Belinda for 2 yes that, you. Then why did you look at me like I was crazy?! We were seated and my first concern was… the conveyor belt is extremely long for the raw sushi to make it’s way around. Second thought… hmm the sun is shining right on us and this raw sushi that’s rolling around… I grabbed a plate and it was the soba noodles, it literally tasted like nothing. Absolutely no flavor. I might as well have been chewing on water. Second dish, spicy tuna roll… first bite, hmmm… why is my spicy tuna warm… friend tries a piece. yeah that’s definitely warm. NOTED, any raw fish I’m grabbing is coming from the server and not the conveyor belt. The conveyor belt rolls through and I’ve seen 5 bowls of corn nuts, a couple bowls of the seaweed peanuts, and the same volcano california roll. We had grabbed one and the avocado was melting. I ordered from the server a salmon roll, and a crunchy salmon. The regular salmon roll again tasted like nothing. the crunchy salmon roll wasn’t bad it was just decent. Of course after having ordered this I see 10 crunchy salmon rolls on the conveyor. The Tamago was decent, but again it lacked flavor. The Baja Tuna was pretty good and we saw the cooks just placing that one on the conveyor. It is the only roll we had where the fish was actually cold. We also ordered the banh mi roll… you’d think there would be a lot of flavor because of the pickles… but all we tasted was the cilantro. We were getting full and grabbed the green tea cheesecake and mochi off the conveyor. For a japanese restaurant the mochi wasn’t very good. If you must grab a dessert I would get the green tea cheesecake. It is a bit odd to get over the texture at first though. Of course when we were almost done, more rolls we wanted to try started rolling out like the rainbow roll… Although I don’t think I want to pay $ 5 for just 4 pieces, especially since the fish wasn’t very fresh. The Inari looked like it was not stuffed enough and the one roll we really wanted to try sweet potato tempura, they were out of. It also bothered me that although there were 5 of the same rolls on the conveyor belt… one would look like it was big chunky pieces with a lot of fish… the next one to roll by. supposedly the same roll. was only half the size of the first one. For the price and taste, I wouldn’t opt to go here to grab sushi. It’s not really worth it, especially worrying if I have been poisoned or not.

For the price, the sushi isn’t bad. The BLT roll was quiet tasty and I love the concept of this restaurant-however, I have my concerns. The family seated across from us experienced many issues, the largest would be that the waitress LOST the father’s CREDITCARD. To help ease his pain she offered them some free key chains. They were unable to find his card and he had no choice but leave without it. Also, during the 45 minutes that I was there I noticed some of the same sushi on the conveyor belt. Since this is sushi I worry about the freshness of the fish since there is no ice or anything to keep the fish cold as it moves along the restaurant for the 45 minutes I was there(not to mention who knows when it was put out). Finally, the issue with this place is there are too many high school kids working. It was more of a hangout for the employees than it was work. We had to repeatedly flag down our waiter to ask for beverage refills. The kids need to be properly trained(i.e. I can see you standing there texting while I’m trying to get your attention because I’ve been out of iced tea for the last 10 minutes).
