We visited for the second time tonight — our first time at Fatz was last week on our drive south. Today we are on the way home, and stopped again. My wife had the Calabash chicken and shared some with me; I had the steak. The food was well-prepared and delivered quickly. Our server, Austin Rich, was very friendly and responsive and made sure we were happy with the meal. I hope we can visit again sometime in the future!

Never heard of this chain before. We stopped at the only location in Virginia, Dublin.
The service was good at this location. The food was good. We almost didn’t stop, didn’t see it until we were about to leave.

Best Rib Steak I’ve had in years — MUCH better than Longhorn, Outback etc
Really good sides — had Vidalia onion cole slaw — the best !

Have eaten at the Fatz in Dublin, VA 3 times. Food was great, service was great.
But… This last time I phoned in an order to go. They must have thought that I was just passing thru and would never see me again. Because the food I got was terrible.
The chicken I got was a really dark brown (not burnt but close) and dried out. The pieces were about as big around as my thumb. I don’t know if I will be going back. They don’t seem to care about repeat customers.

Passing through, I would imagine some of the better food around based on my Onyum burger that had a freshly made bun, hand-pressed beef, and several huge onion rings with a very good sauce. I added some jalepenos. Why the downgrade? I did Take Out and it took waaayyyy toooo lllllooonnnnngggg (~15 mins) to get my simple order, but the guy helping was super friendly and did the best he could. Kitchen needs to have some urgency.

This restaurant lives up to the good reviews we read in every way! Service was friendly, fast and efficient. Food came out quickly, errors were immediately fixed, everything tasted great, and the restaurant was clean! Prices were excellent and we left happy and full! The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is that the attention given to keeping the dining room clean was not given to the bathrooms — or at least the women’s. It wasn’t horrible — just not well tended to like the rest of the facility. An excellent restaurant — we’d love to have one in the Tampa, FL area!

Great place. Similar to an Applebee’s or Red Robin but no tvs. But the Calabash chicken is to die for. Crunchy outside soft tender inside with great flavor. They gave us a sample with dip. YUMM. Next time that is what will order. We both had different burgers which were both yummy too and huge. We both left stuffed with no room for dessert. We will be going back.

Awesome!!! We stopped here on our way to PA and it is conveniently located off the highway. Very friendly service and the food speaks for itself. I had the famous calabash chicken, loaded potato soup and sweet potato fries. Amazing! And reasonably priced! I wish we had one of these in CT

While on the road home stopped in for lunch. Little tricky to find, great spot for a bite. Their specialty rolls and butter are dangerous. We were offered more but thought we would never eat our meals. Good call as portions were large. The spinach salad with salmon was overflowing and delicious. My daughter got the soup and house salad which was just as large. Hubby got a chicken wrap that was good. Great service too!!!

And in Conclusion…
Son’t let the cheesy name fool you, this is the best place in the area. Lots of options even for a pescatarian like me. It might be the only pescatarian/vegetarian friendly place in 50 miles. The staff is great. There should be more places like this.

Poor service, salty fried food mostly. A great choice if you are obese, have hypertension or diabetes. If you don’t, you will soon enough eating this food. Oh, I suppose I have ignored the salad options. Their spinnach salad is surprisingly good, so I’ll add a star.

Just okay. We’ve never had a bad experience here, but we’ve also never had a plate delicious enough to bring us back often. A better wine selection would also be appreciated, but not a necessity. The steaks seem small in comparison to the price we pay at other establishments.

Calabass chicken is amazing… wife and child had the platter with shrimp. I had the calabass salad and it was awesome, bacon vinaigrette dressing rocked.

What a great dining experience here. Let me start by saying the staff was fast and friendly! Excellent! The salad was crisp and tasty and the soup was fantastic! The chicken was as it usually was! Good!
There’s nothing I could find wrong about the meal today, I guess I wish they had some more happy hours specials or something going on!

Stopped by here driving from NYC to TN. It’s a bit tricky to get here. Once you exit, you have to follow signs and turn into a mini driveway.
Arrived for an early dinner and the staff was very attentive and polite. I ordered their World Famous Calabash Chicken ($ 11.99) which comes with honey mustard and got a side of steamed veggies. Got their local brew which tasted a lot like Yuengling. The chicken was crispy and not overly oily. .
Prices were good for the portion. Excellent customer service as the manager went up to every table and greeted.
